If Bul had even seen the rat at first he would've maybe moved faster. All he could think of was the delightfully horrible trill from the music overhead and wildly flailed when the popcorn earplugs really REALLY didn't work now. "OH FOR THE LOVE OF JACK!" he wailed, and let out a roar before leaping excessively at the rat king.
At night.

A club like that? Riyo knew of a club like that, maybe... But it seemed that Zar was in a rush to get out. "Later man." The ghoul gave him a simple wave after the curtain call and it seemed that just as the incubus left, the lights went out.
"... Oh no, we're not doing a ******** en-" ... core. Silently, the feline watched the scene unfold, a giant rat now taking the stage and the calming scent of peppermint wafting through the air.
"Whelp." Reaching into her jacket pocket, the ghoul pulled out a pocket watch and pushed the button to check the time. "Yep, it's about time for everything to go to s**t."
Taking a step back out to the stage, the feline took a sniff of the creature from a distance. What a weird smell. "You there! With the whiskers!" She shouted at the abomination. "I've eaten tougher rodents than you for breakfast." She hadn't. It was a complete lie, but that wasn't the point right now. The feline grabbed a chair from just behind the curtain and charged at the creature.

Well in any case, the Rat King proved to be hostile. Jericho's gaze glanced over towards Riley for the moment. He didn't know if she was in any condition to be in a fight. Probably not. But he wasn't harmed. The dragon launched himself up before following Sammy's call to try and punch the rat IN DA FACE. His aim was a little off, and he ended up just bopping its nose instead. Tsetsiliya had been in the midst of a congratulatory "job-well-done" hug with Xiu when the stage had gone dark. She blinked momentarily and let go of the ghoul. "What --" That was when she smelled it; something terribly familiar that she.. did not want to recall.
Peppermint.
Chaos had erupted soon after on stage, and the ghoul rushed to the opening in the curtain to spot what now occupied the stage. This.. this thing was claiming to be the Rat King, thinking himself so high and mighty as to try and step on everyone? It was encouraging to see that many were taking the initiative, but the poludnica's eyes drifted down towards the stage, where Temes still lay, and panic set in.
"C-Careful!" she cried to the others, and, fists shaking nervously, she ran out on stage and made a running leap at the Rat King. She managed to graze him and go tumbling off onto the other side of the stage, but for the moment he was away from Temes. She unburdened herself of the wings and held up her trembling fists, waiting for whatever happened next.

Oh . . . Jack.
You know what. Jack it all. It was nice and cold, but the play was at an end, he had broken a promise to Chuppi, and had probably looked like such a jerk.
So Mort charged up an attack and allowed himself to channel it through his hand directly, as opposed to using his brain as normal. Yes, he wanted to feel a little pain right now, like he hadn't had enough - like it was punishing himself.
A bolt of lightning zipped through his palm and shot at the rat king's chest.
My HP: 30

Anything attacked/attackers should note: Zombie's in the back, looking tired as hell and not happy about a lot of things right now. Used electricity!

Alwine did not like this Rat King. He was ignoring everyone and stepping on people and-- wow, he had pretty bad aim, actually. Still, this was Mandy and Chuppi and everyone else's time to shine and he had the gall to literally steal the spotlight AND the musical cues. So, Alwine took the rat hat by the tail and floated towards the Rat King, swinging it above her head. Rat Flail. Who would've guessed? It was a good thing that Muka had little to no sense of smell or the peppermint scent would have sickened him. The strix immediately attempted to take to the air. The sight of all the rats seemed to distract him though and instead of retaliating against the gigantic menace in front of them, he ended up spending a few seconds trying to snatch up a rat or two to munch on!

The theater blacking out wasn't too big of a concern, however everything else that followed was. Furrowing his brow, Shun stared as the spotlight suddenly came on, revealing a different Rat King. There were also other creatures coming on around, followed up by an angry shout from the dragon. If that wasn't enough, the Rat King had attacked! Failed, he did, but he had tried to harm them nonetheless. "Things are never simple at this school, are they?" he sighed while standing up and summoning his daggers. He soon glanced down towards Mitsu, motioning for her to get up, "I believe it's best if we make sure this Rat king falls like the one in the show, don't you think?"As chaos erupted in the theater, he got on up, rushing towards the stage to stab the Rat king in the foot. My HP: 40 Damage Dealt: 3 Collective Damage to Boss: 37 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Stabby stabby?

Alexander had been waiting to go out on stage to bow, though he didn't really want to. He was content to just sit back and let the ones who had played main roles and put in more work get the spotlight. Thus why he still hadn't made his way out when most of the others still remaining had.
And then the lights went out, a strange smell filled the air, and horrible music invaded his ears. Oh, and a large rat just appeared out of nowhere and had a crown on his head. That was totally normal, right?
This was just....wow. Just, wow. He had no idea what to think about what was occurring right now. All he knew was that he wanted to be as far away from that giant ugly furry thing and it's little wooden minions as quick as his zombie legs could carry him (which, lets face it in Xanders case, was not very fast).
But as he began to turn away, considering the possibility of attempting to jump off of the stage, he saw the other students running towards the creature, one of which was a zombie like himself.
And that was it. Alexanders instincts took over of their own accord once again and his legs swung back around before he even knew the decision to follow his fellow students in the attack had been made. Slowly and steadily he shuffled towards the gigantic creature. He might be able to bite it on the leg or something...and who knew? It might even be tasty.
He shambled onwards, sidestepping any of the annoying small wooden army toys that got in his way or just punting them to the side. He had his target in sights and he was not going to stop now.
When he was (finally) within range, he reached out with a swiping hand and grasped on to the very lower region of one of the giant rats legs, digging his fingers into it's warm flesh beneath the thick, disgusting fur.
My HP: 30/30

The plague doctor stood between the Rat King and Riley, then flared out its wings and grabbed a scalpel-sharp feather. The scalpel flew, and missed, sailing into the curtains and vanishing. "Marvelous," Malodore said, sourly. " Mia cara, amici... what now?" It felt that retreating might be a good idea, given Riley's fragile state... It was like their play had bred some abomination of nature! And what was that smell? He cast the same look back to Hel, then summoned his guns and charged forward. And slipped in a puddle, fired prematurely and barely grazed the Rat King. ((Rolling))

"Sick?" Barth asked drowsily, reluctant to move. The crashes filtered through his sleepy system, and he gripped Calder's knee, suddenly awake.
"Hunters?" he asked, hoarsely. Was that...peppermint?
Black thorns writhed up through the theater seats.

Sammy turned glancing at Hel raising her hand to offer a highfive. "Sorry I missed the bow. Glad to see you could make it." She turned towards others in the audience. "GET GOING FOLKS. BEFORE THE JOY MAKES US ALL SICK!"
She poke Hel gently in the side, "Mind lending me that spear sometime, I'd love an upgrade from this little prop sword thing."

 My HP: 40/40 Damage Dealt: 6 Collective Damage to Boss: 51 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Rat King Calder was surprised that Barth woke up so suddenly, and then just as suddenly attacked. His exclamation of 'Hunters' instantly put Calder on edge, as the way the boil shouted it right out of his slumber reminded him of the same fashion he spoke about with wolves. In this case, he'd prefer wolves.
His eyes shot out to the stage and he became tense. Was this a Hunter? REALLY?!! It was holding a sword. Didn't Hunters have weapons and look like them? OH NO! "YOU'RE WERE NOT TAKING MY ROSE BUD!"
Calder turned, tore the cushion from his theater seat, and hurled it at the Rat King.
It seemed he have very good aim.
