Kore glanced at her with questioning eyes when she implied that she might like the abuse. What sort of mare was she? Never before had the white maned stallion been blessed with such an adaptive mare. It seemed like she craved his attention and to be near to him. Never before had he felt so wanted. It was a pleasant change to say the least.
"Lovely? Do I appear lovely to you, miss?" he asked with interest, tilting his head ever so slightly before taking the initial steps to begin their walk. He glanced back at the party with a sense of calmness washing over him. The further he got from the social gathering the less likely anybody would stare at him. Well, besides Vei'Ran, but that was a different story. He felt different with her eyes upon him. Almost reborn, and not quite as freakish this time around.
As they walked on he tried to think of things to tell her. Things about himself that wouldn't scare her away, like his guardian Mistress. Oh, what horrific things would probably unfold if she were to find out that he had a homicidal mare tailing him. The outcome would probably be ten times dramatic when she'd figure out it was all in his head. "My name is Kore.... what may I call you?" he asked with a gruff voice, clearly not used to sweet conversations such as this.

She hummed softly, keeping pace with the stallion, both happily and curiously. He wasn't like other stallions. Usually, when they ran away, they did it faster than all of that, or made their escape intent clearer early on. His hesitance had nothing to do with her, as far as she was concerned... Or cared... "You... Have a mare of your own, or something? Someone that... Wouldn't be pleased with you... 'fraternizing' with the common manes?" She grinned softly, almost knowingly as she continued to push the issue on the distance between them keeping small. "Would you rather I screeched and called you hideous? Made comments about the lovely firefly's glow in your fetlocks, or the unique taper in your tale? Ran away, perhaps? I can, if you'd like..." She hummed, slinking her muzzle under his. "But I won't be gone, long... Don't give up without a fight, y'know... Not good for the psyche." She hummed. "My name's Vei'Ran... But most just call me Vei."

His heart thudded in his chest harder and faster with every question that the mare threw in his direction. He kept his eyes averted, pretending like they weren't aimed at him but he could only pretend for so long before he cast a stern and somewhat irritated stare towards her. "I have a someone who doesn't like me mingling... yes," he failed to mention her blood thirsty tendencies or the ways she took extremes to keep Kore in his isolated lifestyle. He felt his heart sink in his chest though as he anticipated her response to that. Would she give up and just flee. Knowing that somebody else took claim over him might throw her off. As much as Kore didn't want to admit he was owned he couldn't deny it.
The teal maned mare began throwing out obscure questions now, taking things to a whole different level and the blue beast was quick to step towards her, almost in a threatening advance, "No!" he shouted right in her face, though he didn't seem angry, but desperate instead. "No..." he softened his gruff voice and sighed, "don't go..." He was softer about his request now and when she nuzzled up under his muzzle and reassured him she wouldn't be gone for long even if she fled. For some reason it warmed his heart in ways he never knew existed. "Vei'ran? .... Vei..." he felt like he would say this name many more times, and it made him smile and want to actually laugh from how comforting that was. "Kore... my name is Kore." He told her with a pointy toothed smile.

Vei looked a bit downtrodden at him, when he spake himself claimed territory, harumphing softly. "To leave you alone, so certain you exist without an equal to your looks, and so certain the looks you speak of are... Less than the beauty they carry... This mare must not mean much... Or at least, she must not be worth much." Vei hummed, a vindictive look coming to her eye. "If you are taken, already, why would you want me to stay? It is unfair for me to steal another mare's catch, even if they convince you of such attrocities as you seem to believe yourself to be..." She hummed, but gave a smile.
"It is with hope, however, that I note, despite your claim to be staked territory, you still do not wish to be left alone. Do you not so much like this mare, perhaps? Is she as cruel to you as she sounds?"

The mare seemed disappointed to say the least. Maybe a hint of disgust lingering under those pretty eyes of hers. The blue monster had to cast his eyes away in order to keep himself together. He couldn't stand a girl in distress. "It isn't like that. I assure you, it's nothing like how it sounds..." he tried to convince her though she seemed to be going on about how he might not like this mare so much and now he had to admit something he had wanted to confess for many years.
"She.... my mistress.... she..." he clammed up, finding his throat to be swollen and his skin getting itchy and just paranoid over all. What if she was listening, watching him, like she always did from a distance. Still, he had to get it out. If he could then maybe Vei could help. Maybe find somebody who could help? Which ever the case he had the desire to tell her. "I just want her to leave me alone. She makes me do terrible things. Awful things that I have no desire to do. She makes me ... so... so cold..." he swallowed hard and casted his eyes towards the ground and he felt something inside of his shift, like a hint of anger that he didn't know what the cause was. In his mind him and his mistress were to totally different people, though in reality she was just a figment of his imagination. A security blanket gone wrong.

Vei hummed and snuggled in close along the stallion's side. "Well..." Vei hummed, her voice low and cool as she spoke, before she tugged at his ear, starting off towards the forest. "Forget her, for a while... Come walk with me." She grinned, teasing him with the ear tangled in her jaws for a moment before letting it loose again. "If she shows up, I'll chase her off for you. How's that sound?"

Normally Kore would never let a lady be put in harms way like that but something about this female made him feel as though she was tough. His blue eyes squinted lightly with heart felt emotion before shaking it free as if it were light dew on his mane. "Yes, a walk couldn't do any harm," he agreed in his deep rumbling voice before squeezing his eyes shut at her teeth tugging his large bat like ears. "Hopefully, we wont need to have you do that," he snickered lightly and followed her closely, excited to spend time with this vibrant and charismatic female. For the first time in a very long time he was feeling a sting of hope for himself again.

Vei could only grin at the timid brute, confused at his own personality and afraid to take his freedom from whatever true form of Tyranny this mare was. Trills of victory played through her self-important mind, but... There was more than just a walk on her mind. This WAS, after all, her first victory, and it would be a hard-lost one, if some bloody mare was to challenge it. "I...dunno... I almost hope she DOES show, so you can get out from under her hoof." She hummed, the tint of a challenge on her own voice, as if to say 'I dare you to take him from me' to the unpresent creature. "So... What should I be looking for, the few moments my eyes do not follow your luscious blue hide?" She hummed. "For a mare to have such good taste in pelts and such a shoddy attitude, I cannot imagine her resplendence anywhere near your own."

Kore widened his eyes at her words, simply because it was so bold of the floofy haired female. "Why would you wish such troubles upon yourself?" he questioned her with hesitation in his gruff voice. When she explained herself he blinked a few times, trying to comprehend what she meant. "What if you get harmed?" he spoke in a soft voice, barely above a whisper. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself.... though I'd do everything in my power to prevent it from turning out that way..." he glanced at her nervously. Her compliments distracted him for brief moments but he never dropped that concerned expression of his. "She... I'm not sure.... I've never exactly laid eyes on her before, though she's always there... always."

Vei purred at the male, snuggling closer against his haunches as she worked to pin him against a tree so he couldn't run from it. "If I am harmed, I would hope you'd look after me 'till I'm well again... But you can be certain, sweet Kore, that I won't come out the worse for wear in that fight. I would brave a Kalona to make your hide mine." She grinned. "Awkward social tendencies and all." Her grin only widened as she settled into a longer snuggle, tucking her snout under his with a ginger awareness of his horns.
