Pasiphae considered Chaonis's words as they continued to travel, her expression one of rapt attention. He had far different expectations when traveling here than she had on her first trip to her moon. He wanted to find something... something important, had expected it on some level, it seemed. She had gone without any expectations. She had gone because Europa and Kallichore had encouraged her to do so, because the place had assaulted her through her nightmares and seemed to force her hand. Pasiphae had gone not knowing what to expect, what to feel, what to hope for... and had left with something buried beneath the pink dust that she had, apparently, been meant to find.
But Chaonis did not feel that pull, recieve anything from his world, and clearly felt that he should. With that in mind, she couldn't blame him for being disappointed. She tried her best to make him feel better, pointing out, "You may not have found anything yet, but... that doesn't mean that there isn't something important here. We can keep looking until we find it--"
The unveiling of the canyon cut her off as she took in all of its impressive details. Paths, Archways. Tunnels. Dozens of places to "... or until it finds us?"

Chaonis looked over the canyon in wonder. There was only one way down, the rest sheer cliff faces and impossible falls. He looked at her, then grinned devilishly.
"I guess this is alright," he said. "Let's go down that path!"
He grabbed her by the wrist and tugged her after him, running toward the path and leaping over the rocks. They began to descend down the rocky, dangerous path, toward whatever sort of city that had been carved into the cliff faces. The path bottomed out into a pit in the center of the canyon before they would be able to access any of the other paths back up into the caves.
Strange.
Not that Chaonis took the time to notice. By the time they were half way down, though, the reason for this pit became evident. Loud rumbling came from behind them and when they glanced back they would see a cascade of red and orange stones and dust tumbling toward them like a wave.
"Oh s**t!" Chaonis yelled, but it was fast sweeping them up and crashing them all the way down into the pit.

Pasiphae was willing to go anywhere that Chaonis led and did not object at all whenever he tugged her along, adding in her own jumping to avoid the rocks that came in their path. She silently enjoyed the scenery and was simply relieved that the moreexperienced Senshi seemed to be getting excited about exploring his world. But all of her trust and all of her efforts could not prepare her for the landslide that over took them. Suddenly the comforting grip of the Eternal Senshi's hand on her wrist was gone, replaced instead by pummeling rocks and a stream of dust.
Eventually she stopped being swept along and ended up flat on the ground. She dug her way out of the debris that setttled on top of her as quickly as possible, emerging from the rubble in a burst of dust and rocks. Pasiphae coughed the dust out of her mouth, her lungs, even as she tried to suck in some air. A look around told her that they had fallen a long way, down into the pit, and Most importantly, at least to her, was the name that she wheezed out between coughs, "C-C-Chaonis? Wh-where... are you?"

Chaonis was not too far away, struggling to get to his knees. He pushed up, some rocks and a cloud of dust tumbling off of his back, and he looked up in wonder and confusion. He didn't feel like he had broken anything, and it seemed the passage of time had certainly aided him there.
The rocks in the slide were once much larger: but their age and lack of tending to had reduced them to dust. He coughed, imagining his lungs were going to be orange for years now and hoping the stuff wasn't toxic considering he had just bathed in it.
It wasn't, but he had no way of knowing that.
"I'm here, I'm fine. I guess that was a trap," he grunted and looked around. It was hard to see anything with all the dust in the air, but the ordeal had left him feeling grumpy and despondent. "Maybe we should just get out of here." He moved toward her, and there was something very unfamiliar in his eyes. An expression he had never had before, an emotion he did not often feel.
Guilt.
He was putting her in danger by bringing her here.

The Shame Senshi peeled off her long gloves. Normally her nose would be crinkling in distaste from the dirt, but at the moment she too busy sneezing and coughing to do anything but try and distance herself from the orange that coated her fuku. With the cleaner of her two hands, she rubbed at her watery eyes to try and remove any dust that remained there and moved towards the sound of Chaonis's voice.
Eventually, the dust flying in the air settled enough for her to see him--a good thing, since as the two were moving towards the other they nearly collided. She let out a sigh of relief; it was always easier for her to remain calm when someone else was around. But his words... were not as comforting. A trap? Who would leave a trap for him, on his own planet? Or... or was it a relic from some other civilization or...? She honestly didn't want to think too deeply on it. Not now, when Chaonis needed her.
When he suggested they leave to go home, she wheezed, "Only... if that's what you want. We'll just have to be more careful if we continue." She certainly wasn't against his suggestion but... she was just a visitor here. This world, this place, meant something to Chaonis, and she would stay by his side as long as he wanted to invesigate it.

Quicksilver the Archangel Chaonis watched her and debated.
They could go on and explore the dusty area, but risk more traps or whatever it was they had fallen into. This was his planet, after all, and he had to imagine he got his Sphere from somewhere. They likely lived up to the title, those that lived here on Chaonis. Whoever they were.
Whoever he was.
There had been nothing here, once. He knew that, though he didn't know how he knew that. He also didn't understand the sentiment. As far as he could tell, there still wasn't anything here. Or had there been, but time simply washed it away? There was a feeling, something tingling in the back of his mind like a memory he just couldn't call forward, that told him they were standing on an important spot.
And it wasn't what it seemed.
He looked at his friend, though, and realized he didn't want to risk her safety. He would have to come back alone, explore, then bring her back when he could show off and she could be safe. that was the only decision he could make. He grunted and shrugged his shoulders, not letting any of those thoughts become evident.
"Let's get out of here then. We'll come back some other time."

Pasiphae only nodded as Chaonis made his decision. The decision had never been hers, a fact for which she was grateful. She was no good at leading. A bare, dust-covered hand came to rest on his shoulder once more, and her shy smile was genuinely happy as she echoed her earlier statement, "Then, I'm ready when you are, Chaonis." Sure, she was dirty. Sure, they could have gotten hurt in the trap. But neither of these facts dampened her smile. Because the Eternal was with her. Whether he knew it or not, she would always admire him and do whatever she could for him. He, like so many others, had done so much for her, and being able to give something back, no matter how small, made her feel perfectly content. The effect might have been more dramatic if she hadn't immediately had to use her free hand to cover a sneeze. "S-sorry."
