The ghoul instinctively shook her head when Roch enquired, and replied, “It's alright, I'm glad I can help, especially seeing how you're so serious about this.” Edel smiled and continued, “I'll make sure I practice hard on my part so it'll go without a hitch. Perhaps I could meet you a few days later and we could practice it together and see how it goes?” The ghoul didn't recall when the play's rehearsals were, asides from the fact that they would start soon. So that was settled then.
“Uh,” she couldn't help herself. She had to ask. “Could I ask you a non-related question?” She had to test out the waters first, just in case Roch was being all srs bzn now and wouldn't take any of that.

"Huh? Yeah, sure," he said, looking up from his papers again. "What's up?" His mind was full of music, but he would snap out of it in five... four... three... two... He looked at her, his eyes sharpening and a focused expression on his face. "If it's about Danny or something--"

Just how did Roch ever guess.
"Actually, yes." best to get to the point quickly. "Er, ... Are Danny and Moure, I mean... Is there something between them?" Edel knew Moure's answer on his part, but she wasn't sure about the flame demon.
Right, this was really awkward.

"Wait, what?" Roch asked blankly. "I thought you were gonna ask if Danny was gonna be pissed that I'm asking you to do--er..." He frowned, finally letting his brain catch up with his mouth. "You want to know if they're dating or somethin? Nah, she just thinks of him as a friend," he said easily. He'd already asked this question, himself. "Why?"

Suddenly, the ghoul was feeling very very very relieved. Barring the fact that she might probably incur Danny's wrath anyway.
"Oh uhm, it's just that.... Never mind that." there were only so many ways she could explain that Danny, well. Let's change the subject.
"Would you be up for a spar someday? I could do with a lesson or two..." yea, what a very casual topic Edel.

He frowned. "I really SUCK at fighting against ghouls," he said abruptly. "But I could go into the gym with you and give you some pointers while you pound on a doll or something?" he offered. "I don't know how helpful you might find that, though."

"The enemy could very well be a ghoul," she would have added a "don't discriminate" but she didn't want to discredit the reaper's apparent sense of chilvary.
Edel then proceeded to stare at Roch. Pointedly.

"Oh, I'm fine beatin' on hunter ghouls," he said. "In fact there's one in my mind that I can't wait to see again," he added with an evil grin. "That jacker's gonna get what's comin' to her sooner or later. But they don't count as ghouls in m mind. They're just... hunter trash."

Edel couldn't suppress the grin that was spreading on the face. Roch was doing a fine job evading the subject, whether it was intentional or not. For some reason the frost demon was starting to see a soft side of the reaper, despite how he spoke of the female hunter. Well, they didn't really count did they? Edel wouldn't even think twice about attacking one either.
"Alright, alright, we could start with the dummies first. But I must say.... You should reconsider," she said with a laugh. Her face grew serious shortly after. "The horsemen did say they could appear in disguise," she paused, suddenly recalling. "I don't remember you holding back against that first year back then!" referring to the pad foot ghoul he had confronted in the washroom.

"I didn't fight her," Roch said with a shrug. "I just threatened her. And I KNOW you aren't a hunter, see? But if you really want to fight me, I guess we can stop before anyone is seriously injured," he said with a shrug. "Probably me," he added dryly.

Success. The frost demon was happy with the compromise. "We'll stop when either one of us calls it quits." Bless Roch and his soft heart.
"So, when shall that be?" she asked, happy that she could finally get something done about her lack of combat experience. "Meanwhile I'll be practicing this, don't worry," she said, gesturing to the score sheets sitting on the stand.

"I don't know, now?" Roch said reluctantly. "We can get it over with," he drawled, feeling a bit doomed. Now he sort of understood what Sparrow had gone through with Xiu. "You're still a first year, right?" he asked curiously.

Edel nodded. "Yes I am, though I just got my summon for the promotional exam for later this week. It won't be too hard would it?" the ghoul had assumed the reaper had taken his already. And now that she mentioned it, she started to worry about the test too.
The frost demon was already packing up her violin case and the scores.

"We can wait until after your exam, then," Roch said. "You're going to want to be in top form for that. Course, mine went pretty smoothly, but I know a lot others didn't."

"Alright then I guess I'll see you around? Wish me good luck I suppose." Now she would have to prepare herself for three things. The thought some what excited the ghoul and she began to tap the hard casing of the violin case thoughtfully.
