Protective? Xiu looked a little sheepish as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Huh? Well, uh, I do owe them a lot for watching out for me." She admitted, after a moment of thoughtful silence, "Though that kind of goes for everyone I know. I think everyone tends to be a little protective of their friends and peers, right?"
At least, the baku thought so! Especially in the face of danger, it seemed like the students of Amityville would always band together to help each other. There had even been strangers running around and trying to save her the last time she had been caught in a net. The memory, while it brought feelings of fear and discomfort, also made her feel a little warm and fuzzy. If she ever ran into those particular students again, she would definitely have to thank them and introduce herself.
Xiu was still feeling a little guilty for the fact that Amphi had scalded her tongue on the hot tea. When the other ghoul apologized, Xiu was quick to lift both of her hands in front of her and give a furious shake of her head. "Please, no! It's no bother at all!" Despite the fact that the drink she had given Amphi now was chilled, there was still a hint of anxiety on the baku's face as she watched her new friend lift the cup to her lips. Would she like it? Maybe she should have made Amphi something else? Someone more sweet? Less sweet? Or--
Nope! Seems like she liked it! Xiu immediately relaxed, her face heating up as she felt the blood rush to her cheeks. "I-is it really? I'm very glad that you like it!" There was a short pause as she glanced towards the kitchen, and then she looked back towards the mermaid. "I could pack up some of the tea for you to bring back and brew yourself sometime, if you'd like?"

Amphi nodded, making little small sounds of happiness as she drank the sweet tea and then listened to the Baku. After taking another sip of the drink...so good, so very good, she set the tea down and blinked at Xiu.
"I still say it must be so nice. It makes me miss having a sister here." She sighed before fingering her hands together and laying them in her lap. "I...I really wouldn't know! I'll be super protective of you..." Amphi flushed again before...."I mean....um...I...will try to protect you? But um...only I mean if you want...I mean."
Amphi thought of the hunters for a brief moment before sighing. If anything, the students really only had to worry about those damn hunters before anything else. It's not like Halloween was attacking each other.
"It is very delicious, I just...." her eye's widened more at the offer before her flush deepened into a dark red. "I...I would love to! If you don't mind. It was really good and...and well..It was really good." Amphi played with her hands again. "I...feel so honored to receive such a nice gift."

The mermaid's words caught her off guard, and for a moment, Xiu could only stare at Amphi blankly. After a moment or two passed, the baku suddenly laughed, bringing a hand up to her mouth in a futile attempt to stifle her giggles. Amphi...she was so adorable! She was a very sweet ghoul, and that definitely showed. The baku had no doubt that, once she came out of her shell a little, students would be flocking to her to be her friend.
"Thank you, I appreciate it," Grinning, she gave a little flick of her tail, "I'll protect you too. I mean, I always try to watch out for my friends, so..." And despite having not known the ghoul for long, Xiu had already decided that she was definitely a friend.
Beaming when Amphi agreed, the ghoul jumped from her seat, holding up her index finger in a "just a minute" gesture as she swept into the kitchen. There were some noises coming from the kitchen area--mostly the sound of cupboard doors being opened and closed--before Xiu returned a minute later, holding a small canister of tea in her hand. She had even tied it up with a bright blue bow.
"I'm just happy to hear that you like it," The ghoul admitted, looking sheepish as she held the tea out towards her, "Please let me know if you'd like more in the future."

Amphi face ducked down as she tried not to be embarrassed by the other ghoul's deceleration. She would protect Xiu as much as she could! Especially after...after just meeting her.
"Thank...Thank you!" her face was somewhere along @ w @ when she said, "I'll try not to get into a lot of trouble so you don't have to worry so much!" She flushed before ducking her head down more.
When Xiu got up, Amphi made a small protest and reached her hand out before the ghoul did something and was too late. Awkwardly she sat there, biting on her finger till Xiu returned and handed her a small canister of tea. "Oh...Oh!" She gasped before reaching over and touching it.
And then her smile lit up her whole face. "Thank you so much Xiu, this is such a wonderful gift!" She look up before reaching over and hugging Xiu tightly, "Thank you so much for the gift, I will enjoy it all with my might!" She clenched her fist. * A *!!!

Fact: Amphi was completely and utterly adorable. The baku had to resist the urge to squish the mermaid in a hug, though when Amphi herself reached out to give Xiu a hug, she took this as her chance to hug back, trying to stifle her giggles. "I'm a little embarrassed! I'm really happy that you like it so much, though." And then when the other ghoul enthusiastically told her that she would enjoy the tea with all her might...
How could one ghoul be so sweet?
Laughing, Xiu stood back up. "I'll bring out some other snacks too--something that will go well with the berry tea. Give me a second?" And back into the kitchen she went. It looked like that today would be a day filled with tea-drinking, dessert tasting, and happy chatting. However pleasant it was to make a new friend!Nyxtsuki Moon IDK. FIN? "Alright!" Amphi clenched her fist again, "Those too I will enjoy with all my might!" She laughed as Xiu got up and then came back.
Together the two talked and chatted and joked and then finally, when the sun had set, Amphi waved good bye with the gifts in her hands.
"Thank you again Xiu! I'll see you later then!" She cuddled the canister of tea close to her before heading back to her dorm.
Another friend! Soon she would have a gaggle full of them...maybe! Yay!
