Kallichore chuckled a bit. The horrid cats they communed with? Either Benitoite forgot that the Negaverse employed cats, or he'd never met one. That was a shame, really, since it was a vital piece to the puzzle of the conversation they were having. "I'll keep that in mind when I find one of those 'horrid cats'. I'll tell them to knock it off with bringing children into the war, how's that? And you tell your cats I said hello."
Who knows? She hoped everyone could have a little peace and quiet this holiday season, but if others were out patrolling, no doubt there would be trouble. Trouble followed both sides wherever they went. It couldn't be helped. The eternal senshi shrugged and turned back to watch the lights of the nearby stores die down with time. It was probably getting late, and the later it became, the colder the air. There was a bone-deep chill out tonight.
"Are you planning to turn in soon? No use staying out all night if it can be helped. I'm thinking about turning in myself."

Without knowing it he was about top prove to the eternal senshi that he did indeed know one of the cats on his side. "I'll tell that to Dahlia the next time she spends the evening sleeping in my room." That would likely be some time soon, and she may even have dinner as well if she came over hungry. He had told Lily about the visiting cat who he fed and let stay in his room, it was why his door was shut at night. He worried about the dog getting too close to Dahlia, or Dahlia attacking the dog for something. He didn't need a fight between the two either way.
Benitoite was still learning that trouble followed both sides, all the time, nipping at their heels and launching sneak attacks on them when it was least expected and least wanted. But he'd learn soon enough, over time as well. He was sort of getting the idea already, but he didn't fully grasp it yet.
"I may, perhaps not though. I don't mind the cold just yet and I can still gather more energy." People were still out, so more work could be done. "The brighter lights of down town will be good, and people will still be out there." As he spoke he gave a light shrug of his shoulders. It wasn't a bad idea, keep himself to different areas of the city as opposed to one distinct area.
"Perhaps you should turn in."

Of course he wouldn't take the hint. As much as she didn't like to admit it, Kallichore and Benitoite operated on very similar terms. They loved what they did, they were passionate about it and spent every ounce of effort they could doing what they did. It was like they were born for this, but it was unfortunate that Benitoite was born on the wrong side. Perhaps one day he would see that the Negaverse was seeking to enslave and destroy the earth, not save it.
The eternal turned away from the Negaverse captain for a moment and stretched. "Seems like now's a good time as any." she started, lowering her sleeved arms to her sides. "You stay out of trouble now, Captain." I know it would do no good, but if I hear about you killing anyone else... Kallichore wasn't sure how long she could adhere to the Jovian thoughts on the undesirability of exacting a final vengeance. Best to leave now while the going's still good. She leapt off the edge of the building and her white-on-crimson form disappeared into the night, guided by the twinkling lights of the winter holidays.
