"Do I look like a guy that'd go soft?" He grinned at her boyishly, his words heavy with cockiness and innuendo, as well as a goofy, self aware chuckle at the end. He might not have intended his words to be so fitting and perfect, but he found he often stumbled into his best one liners.
It was all in the set up, as much as it was the timing.
He took a slow breath, though, finding that he was fairly worn out and feeling good for it. It was fun to get in some sparring with someone who could keep up. It was different to fighting a powerful enemy, and it was different to training someone. Here they were equals, working for the same goals. It was almost like a dance of give and take, and he noticed, as well, that they had a balance almost worked out without thinking about it.
It would be interesting to fight alongside her, and see what they could do.
"Me either. Usually it's just against youma or negas. Or newbies. If you wanna meet up to spar or patrol or whatever it is you 'dutiful' senshi do, then you can give me a buzz." He grinned at her, as if he never went patrolling or trained himself because that was too mainstream. Not true, of course: he had become fairly used to his duties.

The possibly offensive joke went right over her head. It was probably for the best anyway. Kallichore pulled back some of the loose strands of her hair. His grin was infectious and despite herself, she was smiling back at him with an air of carelessness uncharacteristic of her. What was he up to? "I'd like that, actually. Sparring against someone on your level is infinitely better than chasing down youma. At least you present a challenge."
I remember when it was difficult to kill a youma... she thought back and smiled at herself. Things were still very difficult in general, just with different things. Chaonis would appreciate that, surely. He appreciated things other people tended to leave by the wayside.
She stalked over to the railing surrounding the building and gazed across the expansive cityscape to eye the time. There was a huge clock in the distance. Two? Two thirty? Some time very early in the morning. Kallichore would sleep very well tonight. "Ah, I better be off. Mundane things to do tomorrow. You know how it is." Her voice lowered and she sighed, exhaling steam into the air. "Sleep well, Chaonis." In a blur, she was off towards home and sleep and civilian life.
