"Your sharing skills, man." Jordan chuckled. "I guess if someone calls us on it, we can help with another batch or something." He took the cookie without further protest, taking a bite. Then he paused, eyebrows going up. The cookie tasted so familiar ... like Nan's homemade secret recipe, complete with sugar sparkles. "Whoa," he said, impressed. "These things are good."

Robert whined when he heard Jordan's compliments, his face inches away from slamming into the plate and going at it like cookie monster. His footfalls quickened, excited to get to Jordan's room faster.
They made it back to Jordan's dorm before Robert gave into his carnal desires, and he nudged quickly with his head, in the direction of the doorway. His eyes were insistent.
"Open the dooorrrr.." He muttered through closed lips, for some inexplicable reason.

"Relax, I got it." Jordan opened the door and wandered lazily over to sit down on the floor by the side of his bed. He beamed at Robert. This had been a great idea. Just a chance to hang out and have some awesome cookies. Oh, he'd finished the one he had. When had that happened? "Bring them over here," he said. Excellent way to start a day off.

THE DOOR WAS OPEN AND IT WAS COOKIE TIME. Robert settled the plate down on the bed, and then climbed up on it, lying stomach down in front of the pyramid of glorious cookie heaven. He put his chin in his hands, and just.. looked at them for a moment.
"We always had Christmas cookies back in my old house, when I was a kid." Robert reminisced as he stared at them.
Okay, enough staring.
He tore into those cookies, one in each hand, and bit down.
The world exploded in color and happiness, and he rolled over onto his back, groaning in happiness.
"Ahhh these cookies taste like sex." What.

Jordan tipped his head back against the bed and looked up at Robert, raising one eyebrow. "Would've thought that'd be saltier," he said thoughtfully.

"BAHAHA-" Robert's laughter cut short as he choked on a cookie, coughing violently. He turned around, slammed his chest with his fist a few times, and then started laughing all over again.
When he got the giggles out, Robert's eye's furrowed in the middle, and he took another thoughtful bite. Chewing on it for a moment, he rose one eyebrow.
"Wait, what do you mean you would've thought - I mean, you're not saying you haven't, like, uhhhh..."
Hey, these cookies were really good. He stared at them for a while.

Jordan grinned. Half of humor was timing, and it looked like he'd timed that comment just right. He absentmindedly took another cookie, and had just taken a bite when Robert demonstrated unusually acute logic.
"Uh," he said. He wasn't about to lie to Robert, though. "No." He wondered why he wasn't more embarrassed by this; it wasn't something he'd have admitted to just anyone. However, he couldn't seem to sustain much dismay. ... Wait. He studied the half-eaten cookie with sudden suspicion. Was this the kind of cookie that Ferros had said made his mind feel weird? He couldn't ask the weapon; Ferros was still asleep.
He really couldn't work up any kind of alarm over that, either. He felt too good.

"Holy s**t.." Robert breathed out in a whisper, dropping back down onto his stomach and staring at Jordan. "How is that even possible.."
Robert wished they'd thought to get some milk, because his throat was killing him now. He probably shouldn't have been staring after a revelation like that, but he couldn't help it.
"But.. but like.. boss." His hand snuck over even as he stared, snagged another cookie, and shoved it in his mouth. Even moments of shock did not stop Robert from the nomming. "You're. Like. You know." He gestured to all of him. "You know."
That was the extent of Robert's compliment.
"You've been kissed before, though.. right?"

"Thanks," Jordan said dryly, but he couldn't help being flattered by Robert's obvious surprise. He shrugged one shoulder, embarrassed but sort of pleased.
"I have managed that," he told his friend. Maybe not since high school, but even in the warm glow of cookie-induced euphoria he was keeping that little fact back. He'd just been ... busy, once he got to college. Too much to do, not enough time left over. "I have had girlfriends."

"Oh thank GOD." Robert was instantly relieved to hear that Jordan was not a complete innocent. That would be.. just.. he didn't know how to process it.
Still.
"Man." Robert looked up at the ceiling, and started to giggle. "We gotta get you laid."

Jordan snickered. "You sound so relieved." Another cookie? Why yes, he would; this was better than being drunk, because he knew that there wasn't going to be a hangover later.
He inhaled a crumb at Robert's pronouncement, and had a minor coughing fit. Which was actually sort of good, because it gave him a minute to think. Judging by previous endeavors, he wouldn't be at all surprised if Robert assigned himself as wingman and proceeded to be enthusiastically helpful. Which - well, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but Robert was lacking some key pieces of information.
"Uh - I don't know, dude. I'm, er. Not exactly a ladies' man." He peered at Robert sheepishly. Was he turning red again? Probably.

"******** YEAH I'm relieved. It would break my heart if you didn't even know what it felt like to be kissed, boss. That would be like.. like the worst hell I could think of. No man should ever go without feeling that. And the other stuff, too. But kissing is a big deal."
Jordan's humble proclamation made Robert roll his eyes. "Bullshit. I mean, it's nice that you're humble and all, but you're the guy every girl wants to date. Like, you're the best, okay." These cookies sure were making him feel weird. Like, all warm inside. "The best. I think Maddie wanted to climb up on that at one point, and I don't blame her, but that would have been weird I guess."
This whole conversation was weird. These cookies were weird. Robert snickered under his breath, and he didn't know why. "You even have good sense in clothing and hair n s**t. Stuff girls like. Please, boss. You could have any pick of any hunter on this goddamn island. Name it, and it's yours."

Okay, so the leap of logic Robert had made earlier wasn't going to be repeated. "Uh." Jordan was definitely blushing now. "I appreciate your confidence, man, I really do, but - wait, Maddie?" He blinked. "I didn't, uh. Uh oh," he muttered. If he'd managed to give Maddie the wrong idea about their friendship ... well, he'd just have to ask Robert to kick his a**, because he really hadn't meant to.

"Nah, nah, don't worry! I think she's totally over it, dude. Plus, I think I wasn't supposed to tell you that. Technically, she never told me nothing, so I could be wrong, you know? What the ******** do I know, I'm the idiot."
Not an idiot, the idiot. Robert knew what people thought of him.
Still, even that couldn't bring down his mood. He took another cookie, and made a low groaning sound. "I am SO GLAD I TOOK AS MANY OF THESE AS I DID I am going to eat like all of them if you don't stop me, boss, swear to GOD. So, okay. How are we going to get you some a**."

Jordan finished the last of the cookie he still had, put his hand over his face, and found himself giggling stupidly. It looked like he was going to just have to spell it out for Robert so that elaborate plots and plans would not be wrought for nothing. At least he was still feeling really good, and he could count on Robert's mood likewise being fantastic right now.
"Dude," he said, not quite able to make himself take his face out of his hand and look at his friend. "You should probably know. Pretty sure I'm gay."
