Satisfied with my findings of berries, I wandered off in search of some of those pine cones that I was determined to find somewhere out here. I headed deeper into the forest, listening to the animals making their strange noises and enjoyed the occasional flight of a bird as it zoomed by me. The forest floor was covered in sticks, and as stealthy as I was, I couldn't avoid stepping on a few of them on my journey to the promising sight of scattered pine cones.
When I had reached the tree that had dropped them, I plucked a cone off of it's giant branches and tore it open, pleased to find that their seeds had not yet fallen from them. I wished that there were more than just three or four seeds inside, but I couldn't change how the plants grew, just as I couldn't change the shape of my ears or the knobby-ness of my knees. It is as it is...
A sudden snap behind me caused me to turn around, looking curiously at where the sound had come from. Perhaps an animal was growing brave enough to approach me, but instead of dinner, there stood a boy, looking as though he had just committed the worst crime on the planet. I turned around fully to look at him, placing my hands on my hips, and completing my stance with a raise of my eyebrow. "What's wrong with you, boy? Do you normally just stand around in forests with that look on your face?" I asked with a mischievous smile.

I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
And what else is there
I cut and I spear
And what else is there
