The eevee's sharp teeth bit down on his vine again. This gave him the perfect chance to use vine whip again.

Niji spat the vine out and leapt away, too slowly though. A solid slap landed against his side. "The food is mine!" Niji snarled, sending out another blast of stars.

As more stars pelted against him, he felt himself grow dizzy and little white spots clouded his vision. The last thing he heard before fainting was the snarl from the eevee.

Niji stared at the Bulbasaur for a few moments, tail twitching as he waited to see if it would get up again. When it seemed to be down for the count Niji darted over to his hiding spot, dug up the berry, and darted off to find a safer place to hide it, leaving the Bulbasaur behind.
