"Shiny are very hard to find, not only for the natural wild coloration but that unique kind of radiance that they give off." she said, tilting her head as she watched the Ponyta come closer, Kiss Kiss leaning forward to sniff lightly back at the Sonata.
"Unique coloration are human made, all of it stems from human controlled breeding, and even if they bred a Ponyta to have blue flames, it lacks that sparkle that Natural shiny have" She grinned slightly and looked back to Inigo. "Its pretty complicated when it comes to pokemon breeding, and how people get the desired affect, my mother used to know a lot about it, I don't even know that much."
She shook her head slightly, mostly to get the snow off of her face. Not that she would have to put up with it for too much longer, since Inigo was prompting them to go inside, something she was not against at all. "Thank you~" she said, as she stepped in. "Ohhh I know this place, its really homey and comfortable."
Kiss Kiss hopped off of Rosie's shoulder as they stepped in, and bounded over to the large fireplace set up toward one side of the building.

"Really? I didn't know that," he admitted. He was even more glad he'd kept her now - but he was still more grateful for her docile behavior than any special colors or anything else. It would still be weird to train pokemon other than grass-types, though...
Careful breeding - or laboratories. Those were a lot easier to create the patterns people wanted. "I don't really know anything about breeding," the teen chuckled as he walked inside after Rosie. He'd been in this place once or twice, he was surprised at himself for forgetting it before now. He waved Fantasia off towards the fireplace as well, and the slender Deerling ran after Kiss Kiss towards several large, comfy chairs situated before the crackling fire. Nice and warm...
The tinkling of the bell hung on the door attracted the attention of the woman at the register, and she smiled cheerily at the pair and waved them over. "Hello! Nasty weather out there, isn't it? What can I get for you two?"
"Hot chocolate por favor," Inigo said with a lop-sided grin and a chuckle as he headed over. "A hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, and can I get a few extra big marshmallows on the side too, please?" The teen turned to Rosie as a hand slipped down to his pocket to pull out his wallet. "What would you like?"

Kiss Kiss curled up by the fire, feeling much more happy to be close to the warming glow. When another pokemon joined her, the Pikachu lifted her head, pushing herself up with her fire paws. "PikaChuuu~" She greeted.
"I'm not a breeder" rosie said, agreeing with him about now knowing much about breeding. "I know stuff that's been told to me, Hee hee, but I'm a trainer. And I want to be a good trainer."
As they were greeted Rosie nodded her head, listening to Inigo's order until it was her turn. "I think I'll have the same thing please." She told the lady, nodding at Inigo, He had picked something that sounded great. At the same time, she also reached to get her own wallet from her pocket.

"Rreee," the Deerling bleated in return, plopping down onto the floor near the deliciously warm fire.
Inigo chuckled a bit. "You're a better one than me, at any rate, so that's gotta count for something." Or maybe it didn't - he really wasn't very good anyway, so a lot of trainers were probably loads better than he was. That didn't do a lot to boost his confidence, so he pushed the thought aside for the time being and focused on the cashier again.
After she repeated how much it'd cost, he started pulling a few bills from his wallet to pay for both cups.

Kiss Kiss hopped down from the ledge of the fireplace, and trotted happily to sit herself down in front of the Deerling.
Rosie shook her head when Inigo told her she was better then him, lifting her blue eyes back over to her friend. "You love your pokemon, that's the most important thing." There was no reason he could not become one of the greatest.
Noticing that he seemed to be paying for both of the drinks, Rosie blinked, holding her own card to pay for her own. "Oh... well thank you Inigo, I'll get the next one then!" She said with a smile, having no doubt they would hang out again sometime.
Once the lady finished taking their money, and orders, Rosie lead the way over to where their pokemon were already sitting by the fire. "Ohh~ good choice you guys." She said the her Pikachu and the Deerling, gently putting the case down on the seat, and removing her snow covered coat, hanging it over the back of her large, squishy velvet chair that faced the fire.

Since the Pikachu didn't make any attempts at further communication, Fantasia was content to curl up on the rug near the fireplace and fall asleep.
"Thank you," the woman at the counter said with a smile as she worked the register. "I'll bring your orders over to you in just a minute, okay?"
"Gracias," he told the woman at the counter, then, "ah, I guess so," he agreed to Rosie's comment, slipping his wallet back into his pocket after he collected his change, then followed Rosie to the seats their pokemon had picked. "Y lo siento," the teen added with a chuckle as he put his own jacket on the back of his chair before he flopped into it. "Force of habit. Whenever I go out with my little sister I always buy everything for her. Of course it sorta helps that she's only nine, but.." He shrugged. The grunt hummed thoughtfully for a moment before he pulled out Leilani's pokeball and released her. Luckily there was plenty of room for her, and she crooned happily before laying down with a heavy thud near Inigo's chair, and the teen reached a hand out to pat her head.

Rosie giggled softly as she nestled back into the squishy chair, stretching her arms out. "I didn't know you had any siblings, You must love your sister a lot then, to want to spoil her so much."
Rosie was happy to see Leilani again when the boy let his pokemon out, "It feels much better in here, doesn't it Leilani" Rosie said to the pokemon, a content smile on her face. "I think Fantasia and Kiss Kiss are going to sleep well with that warm fire." Kiss' ear twitched at her name, but she stayed where she was, too content. This drew another giggle from Rosie, who reached down to get Pastin's ball again, following Inigo's lead and letting the Ponyta out of it right next to her.
"Thanks for bringing us here Inigo," she told her friend, tilting her head so she could look over at him. "I think we could all enjoy the company... and to be honest you kinda look like you could use some company too." She had not forgotten the sad look on his face before... and the tone that suggested that there was something wrong.
Rosie didn't want to pry, but she watched the young man quietly, with gentle blue eyes as she leaned over to wrap her arms around Pastin's neck, warmed by the mild flames on his neck.

Inigo chuckled a bit as he pulled out Sonata's ball again and released the shiny Ponyta. "Si, I do," he agreed as he pocketed the ball. "She's adorable, I love taking her places." A vaguely guilty look passed his face at the thought, and he reached a hand out to stroke Leilani's head, while Sonata turned her gaze onto Rosie and the other Ponyta, to which she softly whinnied a polite greeting. "I haven't taken her anywhere in a while, not since I moved away from home." He couldn't help but wonder if his family missed him... It had been so long since he'd seen any of them. His parents were probably ashamed of him, but what of his baby sister? She must miss him, right?
Her question of him needing company pulled him from his thoughts, and his usual bright expression faded a bit. "Why d'you say that..?"

It was really sweet hearing him talk about his sister, even though there was that bitter sweet quality, of him not being able to spend as much time with her as he used to. She knew the feeling, Rosie herself missed her big sister terribly, she was always gone. Rosie had to be understanding though, and supportive, Faleen was off doing great things. Rosie would try and do the same for herself, make her sister proud.
A more serious tone changed the conversation, Rosie wasn't nearly as perky, though her kindness didn't fade. "You have a sad look in your eyes." She said, making direct eye contact with him. "And your voice... when you talked about your friend." she didn't know what it meant, but she knew that when someone was feeling sad, sometimes it was good to spend some with someone.

He wished the conversation could go back to being about his sister, or about shiny Pokemon, or anything really. He didn't want it to go this direction, not at all. In response to Rosie's statement, his green eyes couldn't help but shift to Fantasia briefly - she was still aslee - before he looked at his hands that had somehow appeared between his knees. Funny, they were doing something a minute ago. His throat tightened slightly but he swallowed once to fix it; his jaw worked a bit, tensed, but all he could say was, "oh."
The woman at the counter chose that moment to bring both of them their mugs of hot cocoa and extra marshmallows. Inigo thanked her with a quiet, subdued "gracias" before he gave the extra marshmallows he'd asked for to Leilani. All of the light in his expression was completely gone. "Si," he sighed heavily at his mug of cocoa, staring into the chocolatey drink with a solemn expression. He really didn't want to talk about this right now... "She.. Ah... She.... She died. A few weeks ago," he finally said, his tone more strained than he would have liked, but he didn't look at Rosie just yet. Actually, he hadn't looked into her eyes since she steered the conversation in this direction. Aila was still a very sensitive topic for him.

Not a word was uttered from Rosie after he said that... Not a single word. She knew the moment his face fell that it was something more serious then she suspected, and then to learn that a friend of his not only died... but died recently.
Rosie own smile drifted from her face, staying in her seat for a few moments with an expression that was hard to read, but alert she her blue eyes searched the boy's face.
She knew what he was feeling... She knew that look, and she knew the pain that was beating through his heart. No one...Should ever have feel that pain.
Rosie couldn't say anything, finding words just seemed to numb in her throat. All she could do, was sit forward, reaching out and putting a hand on Inigo's arm.

The gentle touch to his arm took him by surprise, though it didn't startle him, it was more.. unexpected. In retrospect he should have expected at least something - this was Rosie, after all, one of the sweetest people he'd met - but at the moment he'd been lost in his thoughts and had almost forgotten where and when he was.
It took a few moments, the grunt simply looking down at the hand on his arm with distant green eyes, but after the pause he gently patted her hand with his larger brown one. He offered her a smile as well, but it looked - and felt - forced, fake. It was kind of funny; smiles usually came easier to him than anything else, but right now it was one of the hardest things to do. That, and talking. His throat felt so tight. "Don't worry about it," he said quietly, patting her hand again before moving his arm back to rest it on the arm of the chair. He heaved a heavy, uncertain sigh, green eyes shifting first to Fantasia, and then to Leilani. Concern was evident in her large gold eyes, so he patted her head and offered her a similar smile. His voice dropped to a softer tone, his accent a little thicker than usual. "No preocuparse, mi amor bonita. Todo está bien."
