"Heh heh, oh well. Maybe someday, if we get a chance to go back into civilization, we can stop by a restaurant or something." Not likely, but still..it was nice to think about sometimes.
Glancing out at the jungle once again, she clicked her tongue a few times before standing to her feet. "Well, I think our shift is up. Its about time for us to start heading back." That ought to be fun, what with the fog and it being nearly pitch black out. At least they had some form of light. Next time, she would be sure to bring along a flashlight or something. That would have been the smart thing to do.
"Well then!" She turned to her with a grin. "Your talking to the right person! I have more of these--the glow sticks" she paused to point to one of the glowsticks hanging from her goggles. "back in my dorm room. If you'd like, when we get back, you can stop by my dorm and take a few."

"It's a date!" Reine winked at Kat, before bursting into laughter again. The outside world.. what were the chances of going back, other than for missions? It was a nice thought to entertain, though. Something to look forward to for the future.
"Yeaahhh," the life trainee agreed. "I just hope we.. you know, make it back." Her hand went to her pocket instinctively, where Ally's unsummoned form was. Just in case she needed her weapon for that walk back to the compound. Thank god for the lightsticks hanging from Kat's goggles, at least-- "You have more of these?" A grin lit up her face, even in the darkness and fog. "Way cool!"
For better or worse, the journey back was somewhat uneventful. Reine had been expecting things to pop up at some point in time, but more often than not she was scaring herself by walking into twigs or the like, and by the time they'd reached the compound, she found herself almost disappointed that they hadn't defeated some kind of amazing monster.
Oh well.
