Normally Castille wouldn't be a part of anything that caused trouble or was illegal. That simply wasn't her nature, aided by the fact that her father spent his days and nights making sure that illegal acts ended with someone behind bars. But in the almost year that had passed since becoming a senshi, Castille had learned that sometimes you had to break a rule to enforce it. If Nate had tried to get her to do some trouble making a year ago when they first met, the blonde would have denied completely. But now, it would depend on the trouble...
And right now, that trouble was a taller boy with a paintball gun firing at her. She squealed instead of responding to him calling her "Red". Paint attacked her all over her front and she backtracked, searching for cover somewhere away from the flying paintballs.
She tried to fire back at Nate while she ran, and ended up running into a haystack, rolling over the top of it. The wind rushed out of her lungs as she landed on her back, her mouth open in silent laughter. The paintball gun lay in in her limp hand while she tried to catch her breath, practically rolling with quiet mirth.

Nate was struck a few times as she fired wildly at him, laughing as he charged. One paintball even hit his goggles, emphasizing the importance of wearing them, and blinding him by blue on that side.
Seeing her hit the hay, and not in a metaphorical, sleepy way, he let out a hoot of a laugh. She rolled over it with all the grace of a leaf caught in a hurricane, and he ran up to it a short time later.
He leaped, clambering on top of the hay bale and looking down at her as she rested against its side on the floor. His feet were touching her back, on either shoulder.
"Nice move," He grinned at her, but he didn't hold the gun forward.
He wasn't going to shoot her now, as he would likely get thrown out of the park and he liked it going there to unload some stress on complete strangers. He had not really visited with a friend before, and found that it was a thousand times more effective.
He took a breath.
"I'll call that a match. Unless you want a paintball to your head to settle me as a winner."

The pressure on her shoulders and the words Nate said made her open her eyes. She tilted her head back, smiling up at the now very tall looking Nate that filled up most of her line of sight. She knew that her landing wouldn't get her a 10 from any of he judges. Now that she had her breath back she could talk. "Hey I was running from you. I couldn't see where I was going. Though it looks like right now that may be your problem." she added, noting the blue paint across this goggles.
Castille dropped her paintball gun, holding up her hands like she was being arrested. "All right all right, ya got me." Standing was pretty easy, even with a now sore back, and she stood up, feeling his feet leave her shoulders and the still a little twitchy muscles in her back stretch and relax. Still holding her hands out to her sides, she turned and faced him standing on the hay bale like some kind of SWAT guy.
"Blue's a good color on you." She remarked, seeing a few paint flowers adorned other parts of his armor.

"Would be a better color on you," he countered as she stood, defenseless. He lifted his gun and aimed at her, but he didn't fire. He grinned.
She had done well enough to warrant a peaceful treaty forged between two weary battlers. Instead of a coup at the end, when that peace had only seemed to be formed. He hopped down from his position over her.
"Good game," he said, at length, then clapped her hard on the back.
He had seen her wince, he just chose not to address that kindly. In fact, he just pretended he hadn't noticed it at all, and certainly had not taken it into consideration as he patted her. He laughed.
"I think we'll have to drag you out here more often. You seem to be a natural."

A flicker of panic jumped across her heart as he pointed the gun at her. Was he really going to shoot her from this close? Luckily her panic was unfounded, because he lowered the gun and instead hit her on the back. The wince came unwilling, but she quickly fought against the throbbing that accompanied the clap and smiled "You too. And blue is an alright color. I prefer red though." It was true, half the things she owned were red, including her laptop, bed spread and curtains. There was something about the color that made her think of wildness.
"This was a lot of fun, and I think I only got a couple of bruises. Sorry about the whole shooting-you-in-the-eye thing. Hope it didn't hurt too much." Her hand reached up to take a swipe and the blue spot, finding the paint still wet. She examined it. They really were just filled with paint. Like if someone had taken the extras from redecorating their living room and siphoned it into tiny capsules. Interesting.

He lifted the goggles off his face after she swiped off some of the blue paint and held them to get a look a the splatter from the other side, turning them over with his hand. a bit of blue remained on his forehead and cheek, which was fine by him.
"That's what the goggles are for," he said, holding them up thoughtfully. He grinned. She had at least had some good accidental aim, though her actual aim hadn't been that bad either. And accidental aim was just as important in the game than anything else. Sometimes there wasn't any time save for random shooting.
It was just making that random work.
He walked her back to the gear dump, as he called it, where they could drop off their stuff if they had borrowed it from the place. He hadn't, but he had gotten her gear here. He rested his gun against his shoulder, smirking. He had to admit, this was fun. Just hanging out, like an almost normal kid, was fun.
Even if he did have to be shooting at people.

She followed Nate to where she was to return the gear, wrestling it off while they walked. She was sure the goggles had left a wonderful ring around her face, just as they did in the chemistry lab at school. Sure enough, when she felt where they had sat, there was a small indent in her skin. There was a splatter of paint on her arm, and a few on her jeans, but she didn't mind much. Castille was many things, but concerned about remaining clean, especially considering their location, was not one of them.
The gear was returned, and she fished out her phone, checking the time. Her family hadn't given her a curfew, but she had some homework to do before heading out for patrol.
"Well, what are you gonna do now?" She asked, putting her phone away and looking back at Nate. A shower sounded pretty ok with her right about now, but if he wanted to hang out longer, than she was more than alright with sticking around. But maybe he had other plans, or friends to hang out with.

Nate wasn't worried about the paint on her clothes, either. If she hadn't come wearing clothes that were meant to get painted that was her problem.
He looked at her when she asked about his schedule for the rest of the day. It consisted of doing nothing and then later, to shake things up, not doing anything.
"I was going to go home," he said with a grunt, shrugging his shoulders. There were video games to play until night fell, then he would go out and patrol. "Chill before 'work', you know the deal."
He called it work, but for him it was anything but. He wouldn't do it if he considered it work: he only did things he had fun with. Things he wanted to do. He did not believe in responsibility and certainly would not bear it if there wasn't some sort of pay off for himself. In being a senshi, he found he actually enjoyed training people, as much as he enjoyed the fighting and the general awesomeness that came with being an eternal senshi.

"Oh I see. I was planning on 'working' tonight too after I finish up some school work." Luckily it wasn't math, so the rest of the paper and Spanish vocab wouldn't take her very long to complete. She was eager to get out on patrol. Lately she was finding it easier to fight, and felt like she was getting better at controlling the feathers and their biting edges. Better control meant easier fights, and more youma dusted to keep people safe.
Maybe she would run into Chaonis while she was out and about.
"Chilling sounds nice, but a hot shower sounds better." The temperature joke was lame, and she knew it. But Castille was starting to get a mild feeling of awkwardness that poked her brain in an irritating fashion. It was a misplaced feeling; nothing about their adventure today had anything to be awkward about. And yet, she found herself searching for something to talk about for just a little longer...
Her brain failed her, and she looked down at the ground, mumbling "I guess we should get going then."

"Better than a cold shower," Nate grinned, clapping her heavily on the shoulder and leaving his hand there. He walked next to her, glancing at her with his cocky, sideways grin firmly in place. He didn't feel anything awkward, of course, but generally failed to recognize that as a legitimate emotion.
As most emotions also failed to register, outside of Awesome and Confident.
"I'll see you around." He made to walk off, giving her shoulder a playful shove as he did so. hands shoved into his pockets, he glanced back at her and grinned, winking. They might run into each other later, on patrol, or whenever he felt like it.
It depended on if he thought it wasn't pushing it, or if he could have some more fun with her so soon. He didn't want her to get too used to him, after all.
He waved as he wandered.

She looked up and laughed, attempting, then failing to ignore his hand on her shoulder. Even as a friendly gesture, she felt her cheeks get a tiny bit warmer, but she managed to wrestle down everything so that when he said 'I'll see you around' she could say "Yeah, see ya."
Her hand reached out to shove him back, but the force he used was enough to make her take a step back, and so kept him out of reach. The wink caught her off guard, so the harmless stumble became that much more difficult to recover from. The heck was her problem? She was doing so well until now!
Ah well she thought, waving back as he walked away. Better leave it like it is. Her brain agreed with the thought, but something else just didn't quite like it. A frown crossed her face momentarily as she turned to go on her own way.
