February 23, 2006Journal!~ Well, things have certainly been more interesting since Kama appeared. My dear landlady spotted the flowers in the window, and brought me over a cake. A cake, of all things. With fat sugary roses. She seems to think that I must have some new love in my life, and surely her advice worked. I haven't introduced her to Kama yet...how exactly would I explain him?! Come to think of it, I've never really tried...some things defy comprehension. Perhaps, in part, like Kama himself. He's taken to music, these last few days. I have an old record player, which he simply adores. Perhaps it's simply rewarding to lounge about all day, I don't really know. Either way, he looks content. Certainly doesn't take much. Sometimes he seems a little startled by how much I have to sleep, drink, and eat. He dabbles, but nothing as...well...normal as I'd expect. He's something else entirely, if only I could find that lanturn vendor and ask him to repeat his dire yet unheeded advice! Well, we're off to the park again. We go almost every day the Market is open. Nothing quite so exciting as the first trip, but I have to admit... I'm not quite as lonely as I was before. T.

Tea for Two!Tugging his coat closer, Tea shivered...motioning for Kama to hurry. He'd conviced the boy to wear one of his long coats, but two banded feet still trailed from the bottom. No matter how hard he tried, Tea just couldn't quite convince the lad to walk. "It should be around here. Let me know if you see it." Tea paused to sneeze into the crook of his elbow, sniffling before trudging on. Kama nodded, raising his little lanturn higher. Peering this way and that, he tried to spot the pink haired man, and the booth Tea claimed should be nearby. He didn't see any lanturns, but a fluttering scrap of paper caught his eyes. "There. Tea?" He didn't call the young man 'dad'...it hadn't ever seemed like the thing to do. Instead, Kama simply pointed, and drifted a bit closer across the quiet street. Tea turned, and stared for a moment. That was it! But...why was it empty?! "Great! But...what's that? What does it say?"Kama simply gave him a level and quiet look. They hadn't exactly covered reading yet. Hurrying forward as he realized, Tea chuckled nervously and leaned forward to read. "It's an invitation! To...a tea party!" Blowing into his hands to warm them, Lime continued to read. "Not too far from here. Hey! Maybe we can meet some other local singl- er...lanturn owners!"At that, Kama actually laughed...eyes bright with brief merriment. Shaking his head, tucking a section of dark bangs behind his ear, the young soul nodded. "Okay. Let's go!"

March 10, 2006!Dear Journal~ Well, it's certainly been an exciting week! Kama and I have stopped by the market twice more now, he really seems to like meeting all the new people and seeing all the new things. It's odd, but Kama seems happiest when others are happy. I've tried so hard to find something that's 'his thing'...something that makes him as happy as the people he likes to see. Easier said than done, though. I've never seen him more excited than 'mildly happy.' I've been feeling about the same as well. That tea party we went to though got me thinking. So many of the 'guardians' were young, AND pretty!! Kama got to meet a bunch of other young ones like him (I wonder what they're called?! They are kinda see though, some of them, and they drift...are they spirits? Fairies?) and it's probably a good thing that he wants to make some friends. Maybe I can find another party! I'd never be able to have one, no idea where to start, but I'm sure they don't only have one get together a year! I'll have to check around, and maybe soon- PARTY TIME! Girls and friends and free food. Life is good! ~Tea

Easy Come...Yawning as the sun warmed his face, Tea rolled over for the fifth time and covered his head once more with the pillow. Ever since Kama had moved in, he'd taken to sleeping in pajamas, so he flopped about in his bed like a lazy plaid blob. Why was it so bright?! One green eye finally opened at the corner of the pillow, glaring up at the window. It was sunny, that was why it was so bright! But why was it sunny? Probably because it was early afternoon, at least according to the clock... Tea grumbled. He loved sleeping in, but he hated missing breakfast. Ever a quandry! If he had his way, he wou- Breakfast. Missing breakfast. Kama!!His slow thoughts suddenly because a rush of panic. Bolting out of bed, Tea stared at the clock once again. He'd promised to take Kama to breakfast!! "Kama, are you awake?! Don't bother cooking, I'll still take you out like I promised!" Yelling as he struggled into pants, still wearing his pajama bottoms underneath, Tea ducked into a sweatshirt and stumbled into the living room. "We can go to that place, down on the cor-....Kama? Kama?!" The house was silent. No sounds from the kitchen, the bathroom was empty. Where was his friend? Turning in a slow circle in the middle of the room, glasses crooked on his face, Tea finally realized he was alone. The only clue was the back door, open the tinest bit. Kama always said that doors should stay open, and Tea always argued that wasn't the point of doors... Staring at it, worried and sad, Tea swallowed heavily. Kama was...gone. Not a note, not a word...just gone.

April 30~It's been quite a month! I've learned that you just can't keep a good guy down. Kama refuses to sit and loaf...and just HAPPENS to be one of my favorite things to do! A few weeks ago, I woke up, and he was just gone. It took me hours to find him! When I finally did find him, I was more relieved than mad, I suppose. He'd found a quiet place by the pond, and was watching the fireflies dance by the shore. That, or he was totally watching the couple in the parked car making out. It's hard to say. Regardless, things are better now that I know what he needs! Being cooped up inside isn't good for anyone, me especially he says. So every evening we go for a walk, and Kama has started to make some friends along the way! I still can't convince him to wear clothes, and most people seem to think he's a girl, which makes things even more interesting, but that doesn't stop him. Though he rarely speaks, Kama is always ready with a wave or a wink, and I'm beginning to think the little spirit lad is good luck! For everyone but me, that is. For example: We were walking down to the tea house, and Kama spotted a young woman on a bicycle. He waved, cute as pie, and she was so caught up in giggling and waving back that she didn't see the curb! Over the handlebars she went, and right into the arms of an intimidatingly large young man that was just leaving the florist. The flowers were for his mom, or so he said. Anyway, he catches her, rose petals fly EVERYWHERE, and a week later I spot them in the park hand in hand. Why everyone but ME, Kama?!?! sad ~Tea
