"I imagine she's probably used to it from being a cat her whole life." Aurora mused aloud, wondering how many other people were in his same predicament as he was. Trying to deal with not having hands... ughh.. the very thought sent a sudden wave of sympathy over her, not really able to imagine what she would do if she couldn't use her hands.
"Just try to keep your hair out of it" She teased softly, pulling out the plates as the chicken drew nearer and nearer to being done. It was only a few more moments before she doled the food out on two seperate plates, carrying it over to the table for the two to settle in to eat. Not before she could fret over him a little more though in that soft motherly tone. "Don't eat it just yet, it's still a little too hot. Do you need me to cut it into pieces for you?"

Niflhel shook his head, "Iunno how anyone can be use to this when they have the ability to turn human. Granted she does throw off a rather large energy signal." His tail flickered as he thought and watched as the chicken finished.
"I don't shed..... er... well I don't think I do. It's winter." He frowned knowing that Merlin didn't shed nearly as bad in the winter as he did in the summer. "If you're worried about that you should've brushed my coat."
His tail flickered again as he followed her to the table trying not to get under her feet but it was a little too tempting. He was watching the plate and jumped onto the chair sitting down looking over the table at the chicken. "Uh.... maybe cut up? I dunno. Hygiea fed me a cinnamon bun and the little old lady gave me tuna. Those were both kinda soft...."
He frowned if he had thumbs he could've cut the chicken up himself. It was slightly embarrassing to have to depend on someone else. I don't see how cats can be so damned proud of themselves having to be waited on like they're useless.

"I imagine she was a kitten as a child and the first time she became human was awkward for her but you know..." She thought for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "I actually don't know a lot about the guardians, so I'm not certain how that worked."
She'd met a handful of different cats over her time and had been even been awakened by Astraea, powered up by Derpaline, and again by Cora. But she'd never really taken much time to actually find out much about them. Perhaps if she'd had she might have some more clue about what was going on in the city.. Maybe she'd have to hunt down some information soon and remedy her uncertainty. But that was a thought for another night.
"I'm not worried about it" She laughed a little as he mentioned the brushing, before picking up a knife to begin cutting the chicken into bite size pieces for Niflhel. "If you'd like to be brushed before bed though I'd be happy too. Otherwise we can just go to bed."
"Are you tired?" She paused in her cutting to look at him curiously, almost as if she were inspecting him for clues to answer her question. She imagined he must have been tired running around all day so small.

Niflhel rolled his shoulders the best he could as a cat. "Maybe, but still." He sighed and shook his head, "I wonder if anyone knows anything about them besides like.. them."
He was watching Aurora as she cut the chicken, "It's whatever you'd like to do. I'm the cat. I certainly won't scratch you if you decide to brush me or whatever." He nicked a piece of chicken from the plate while she was cutting it, trying not to get in her way and chewed.
"I'm just hungry right now, but I'll probably be sleepy after I get something to eat. I worked it all off getting over here." He answered mouth still kind of full so his speech was a bit muffled any crumbs though he did at least lap them up. "Did you sit out a place for me to get water at? I'm not drinking out of the Toilet. Just because Merlin does, doesn't mean I will."

"Oh yeahhhh" She teased, offering him a mischevious smile. "So I can dress you up all pretty? And play with your itty bitty whiskers?"
She watched his face for some sign of displeasure, even though she was quite clearly joking.
Finishing with the cutting she stood up long enough to procur a bowl and fill it with water, settling it on the table. "If that's not enough for the night you can just wake me up. I'm a pretty light sleeper."
It didn't take her very long to eat her own food, waiting for him to finish before she would take their dishes to the sink.

Niflhel watched as she teased him, lofting a brow. "You're baby talking me again." He said almost indignantly. His tail flickered as he ate the chicken, "I guess if you really want to dress me up I can't really stop you."
He paused, "It just better not be anything frilly frufru, or pink." Swallowing the chicken in his mouth he added, "I have a reputation to hold up."
He tried to puff out his chest to look semi-important. Which probably didn't work, he polished off the chicken as fast as he could and lapped at some of the water. "Alright, if I need it I'll wake you." He nodded with a slight yawn. Yup his tummy was full, now was a good time for a nap.

A hand reached out mildly, fingers scratching gently at the scruff of his neck as a smile spread across her face. Despite the tease, she had no real desire to dress him up, or atleast... not a desire that outweighed the obvious unhappiness it would bring him.
Plates put away she returned to the table, holding her hands out in case he wanted to leap out into them, if he wasn't too proud to walk. His yawn was echo'd in her. "Bed time?"

"Mmm... bed sounds good." Niflhel seemed to ponder for a second before walking, "You know if you wanted to carry me all you have to do is pick me up." He added as he headed for her room.
He wasn't willingly going to jump into her arms to be carried, he was still able to at least do somethings. However, if she picked him up he couldn't very well protest.

Pride. She wasn't surprised, nor really offended by it. It had been a strange and overwhelming day for her, she couldn't even begin to imagine how it had been for him. If he wanted to hold onto pride and independence then that was probably a good thing. Far better then simply lousing around and feeling sorry for himself. They'd need his strong attitude if they were going to figure out how to fix what had happened.
"I'll keep that in mind for the future" She mused softly, hiding another yawn behind a tanned hand.
The canopy was drawn back on her bed, and she left it simply tied up tonight, not wanting to trap him in. Pulling back the blankets, she adjusted and fluffed some of the extra pillows around, giving him a fairly large space to stretch out on.
For a moment she paused, usually now by routine she'd change into her pajamas. But... Maybe Azzo really didn't need to see her nighties! Instead she simply slipped into bed, unbraiding her hair before she finally laid down on her side, watching him for a moment.
"Goodnight."

Azzo stretched a bit before looking at the bed and the hight trying to judge it before jumping after she'd opened the canopy. One thing he wasn't use to, even though he'd been a cat for a little while, was cat reflexes. He almost over shot his landing spot and crashed into something else. Of course, it didn't help that he couldn't really tell what was on the bed for sure.
His tail twitched as he watched her with his head tilted. "You're not going to wear your pajama's to bed?" He asked curiously, watching her lay down. Now of course sleeping in normal clothes was something he'd do when he was too lazy to change, but it was something he thought Aurora wouldn't normally do.
He eventually laid down nestled in some of the pillows, it was weird really. Curled up in a ball on her bed instead of in his own bed. He watched her as she said goodnight. "Yeah... goodnight." He felt a little awkward as he tried to get comfortable, eventually getting up walking around in a circle like he'd seen Merlin do on many occasions before laying back down. He felt so small compared to the pillows.
