Mic blushed as he looked at his mate, "I didn't mean to be overprotective but you were the first kit that I had ever been around. And I wanted to make sure that nothing happened to you. I don't think I could have..." He shook his head, "I don't know what I would have done if anything happened to you."
Looking around her finally spotted the hole barely visible from where they were. "There...see how well it is camouflaged into the mountain. It would be very hard for predators to find it. And there would be plenty of open space for the kits to play in, don't you think?

Victorino twirled his tail around his mate's. "Well, now that you've taken care of me, it should be easier with our own kits won't it." Granted, there would still be things they needed to learn, like if they had a daughter. And no kit was the same as any other. But at least the basics would be known....right?
Vic studied the area in front of them. "Is it easier to look out of it than in? If we have a lot of kits, we'd have to try to keep track of them all. It would be easier if we had a clear view from inside the den. Though I do like that it is very well hidden." Vic started towards the hole. "Speaking of inside the den....how much space is there?"

"I highly doubt all of our kits are going to be as well tempered as you were." He chuckled, "They are going to be half mine...and I can guarantee that they are going to cause a lot of trouble." Mical grinned wickedly, "We are so going to have our hands full love." He nudged his mate toward the den.
"The only way to find out would be to go inside, duh." He laughed as he headed for the opening. it was a nice enough location, but he wanted to look around at other places as well. it wasn't like they had to decide on a place right now. As far as he knew they weren't expecting any children yet.

Vic groaned. "I'm going to lose my coloring between you and your mini-you's." Oh how he could see it now. Definitely run ragged by day with the kits, run ragged by night with Mical. Actually....that really didn't seem that bad of an idea...
Vic rolled his eyes. "I knew that." He made his way into the den, moving to the side to allow Mical to be in there as well. "Hm..." Well, it looked alright. It was bigger than their current den. Vic turned to look back outside. And by being inside he could see more than if he was outside looking in. Would it be the right one though by the end of the day?

Mical laughed, "I'm sorry love. I'm going to try to rein in the little me's. I promise. But..." He grinned, "If the babies are anything like you...then there is no hope for the world. Raising one of you was easy enough, but having multiple yous..." He mock shuddered, "I do not think that we will survive raising more then one at a time." He teased as he kissed his mate's cheek.
"I tease love so don't make that face at me." Mical walked into the den after him and looked around, "Ohhh wow..." He smiled, "It's bigger in here then I thought it was going to be."

Vic stuck his tongue out at the other fox. "I wasn't that bad. You said so yourself. Besides, the ones that take after you we'd have to keep an eye on so they don't bring stuff home with them," he said with a grin. He could see it now, kits coming home with other kits or adults and claiming they were going to be mates.
Vic went to stand next to Mical. "That's a good thing though. Plenty of space for everyone without feeling packed together." His tail swished back and forth. "It's definitely a possiblity."

Mical laughed, "They would have mates lined up by the time they were a week old." He grinned at his mate, "Though if they are as lovely as you love, then it might only be a matter of days before they are picked. If I had you pattern I would not have stayed single as long as I did."
"But I am glad that I stayed off the market for as long as I did." He grinned, "Because it allowed me to end up with the hottest male." He winked at him as he continued to look around the den.
"Yeah your right. This place is really great. But I would still like to look around. In case there is another place that we like more. Don't you think?" Mical walked over and nuzzled his mate lovingly.

Victorino laughed. "Not if you had anything to say about it I bet, Mr. Overprotective Father." He winked at Mical. "Sometimes I get the feeling you kept me by the den so much was so no one could steal me away." Victorino blushed. He wasn't as self-concious of his look as he used to, but he knew that Mical, in his love for him, had a biased opinion. No way was Victorino the hottest male. But as long as Mical was the one to think so, Victorino was happy.
Victorino nodded as he leaned into Mical. "You're right. This place looks like it has what we need, but we never know if there's another that would work." He smiled at Mical. "This is our future we're talking about. For us, and for our future children. We can't just commit to a place without knowing if something better is out there."

"Oh no...." Mical looked at his mate, "You have discovered my nefarious plot to keep you all to myself." He looked at his mate in mock shock, "Now that you know my deepest darkest secret you're going to want to go out and make friends besides me." Mic gasped as his eyes widened. But it quickly disappeared into a laugh. "I might have guarded you a little too much. But it was done for love."
Nuzzling his mate, he licked his nose.
"You're right though. There are other places out there, one that we might like more too." He grinned, "It wouldn't hurt to keep looking for another day or two."

Vic laughed. "Nefarious? I'd say it was more entertaining than nefarious." He smiled at Mical. "You're too good looking to do nefarious." That was one of the things Vic loved about his mate. Mical was able to turn anything into a joke, no matter how depressing, serious, or silly it may be.
Vic wrinkled his nose, trying to keep the sneeze back that was threatening to escape thanks to the lick. "And if it takes more than a day or two, at least we'll know we found the right one." They shouldn't take more than a couple days honestly. While Vic had not seen signs of other foxes around their old den, or along the path they took, it didn't mean they weren't there or wouldn't come after they had left.
"Shall we see if there are any more around here then?"

Mic grinned, "Well I endeavor to be entertaining for you love." he winked playfully as his tail swished behind him. No amount of teasing, joking or perverseness seemed to shock his mate anymore. Mic generally thought he might be getting lax or rusty, but the frequent blushes suggested otherwise. Victorino had just become adjusted to Mical's wicked, wicked ways. And something about that pleased him.
Perhaps it was because no one had ever put up with Mical for as long as Vic had. There was something about the attraction of love that was intoxicating.
"Sure....This was the only one that I was familiar with but that doesn't mean there aren't any others around. Honestly how hard could it be to find another one?" He chuckled

Victorino let out another bout of laughter. "I love your optimism." He curled his tail around his mate's. "Maybe it was because I was a kit and didn't know better, but if it was easy enough to find a den I wouldn't have buried under that pile of leaves and twigs you found me in."
And perhaps it was a kit. And perhaps it was going to be easy to find other dens. Was that why they hadn't seen any other foxes? Could there be so many dens out there that they would never have to run into any more? It was a thought, though Vic wasn't sure if it was a positive one or a negative one.

Mical smirked, "Optimism is all that I have besides you my love." He grinned as he nuzzled his neck. "All we have to do is keep looking and make sure that if we walk into a den that it isn't taken. I don't want to get into a pissing contest. I hate that about foxes." He shook his head, "What is it with males feeling the need to mark there territory? It is disgusting."
He made a face.
"Are you ready to start looking at other dens?" He leaned in and rubbed his head against his mate's neck softly. Smiling as he purred in contentment.

Victorino rolled his eyes. "If I didn't know you, I'd have sworn you had been out in the sun too long." Seriously. What else were they supposed to do? Claw at their surroundings to warn other foxes off? Not every den had a surface to do that to. Of course, there was the option of every fox learning to get along....Yeah right. Like that was ever going to happen.
Victorino rubbed his head against his mate's before turning towards the entrance. "Definitely. For the sooner we get finished to day, the sooner we can get started on...other things." Yeah....Vic needed to meet other foxes. He was starting to act like Mical. Not that it was entirely a bad thing, but if he started going around spouting innuendos lefts and right he was in big trouble.

Mical looked at his mate a little surprised. Was it possible that the younger male had become as perverse as him. "I'm sorry darling. I must not have heard you correctly." He dipped his head and shook it out, then he looked at his mate again.
"Were you just propositioning me for...you know?" He grinned lecherously at his mate, "Because I might be inclined to skip the den looking for a little bit longer."
