This was getting ridiculous. Neither seemed about the gain the upper hand, but the other continued to try, and so would she. She closed her mouth for a moment of rest, before following up quickly with a shot of Ice Beam.

Had Leto heard the opponent's thoughts, she would have agreed, and for a brief, possible moment, they may have become friends through that one uniform feeling. But neither she no the other were Psychic types, and she continued her Ice Beam.

Rattata was starting to feel empty, but he dup deep and spat some really narrly stuff at her. He felt bad, who'd want to get that stuff on them, no wonder she was dodging like a boss.

Holy Arceus, either her opponent was a very skilled dodger or this Ice Beam was hard to aim. She knew for a fact that the latter was true, but she didn't think it'd be this true.
Leaping past another wave of toxic, she kept up her relentless Ice Beam.

Rattata slipped on a bit of ice and that was enough of a stop for the other Rattata to land a hit. "Ta! He let out in frustration and broke free of the ice ready for the next on slot.

Again, Leto heard nothing. Recalling that the first time this had happened, she had been ordered to continue her attack, she did just that, although by now she was annoyed that there was no change of tactics. Couldn't the other just freeze himself for her sake?!
Making doe-eyes, she aimed an Ice Beam at him.

The stadium rang with the sound of "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
Rattata hadn't recovered from the last attack with hit by the massive ice beam, he was encased in ice from tail to torso. He let out a gasp of air and started to scratch away are the icy prison.

"Finally," Genesis muttered to herself, her words lost when the girl's loud cry rang across the field. She didn't let it deter her, however, and instead said, "Rock Smash!"
Leto's female wiles had worked! The opponent now encased in ice, she threw herself at him to deal a Rock Smash.
