Shina winced. Three clouts to the back of the head, two hits from Shadow Ball, and a Psybeam. That last Shadow Ball had hit especially hard. Tenka was not doing well. Well, everyone had off days. "Tenka, try paralyzing Trist with Thunderbolt!" Tenka, finally shaking off his confusion, zapped a bolt of electricity at the Girafarig.

Thankfully, the hard surface and his long legs made it easy for Trist to maneuver himself. When Tenka attempted to paralyze him, he dodged the blow and aimed a Shadow Ball at the Emolga.

Tenka took a hard blast from the Shadow Ball, and careened into one of the platforms. After a few moments, the dust cleared, and Shina could tell from the Tenka's limpness that he wasn't getting up any time soon. "Tenka, return!" The red beam caught the Emolga, returning him to the safety of his pokeball.
Turning to Mina, Shina smiled wryly. "Well, that was embarrassing. Taken out without landing a single hit. That confusion condition is killer."

When it became apparent Tenka wouldn't simply brush himself off, Mina recalled Trist as well, giving him a soft "Good job," as he was taken in.
"It can be," Mina agreed. "Thanks for the battle."
She felt bad for Emolga, but her previous travels with Shina had her confident that the traveler was more than prepared to care for him. The thought brought back memories of their travels, and she asked, "Do you have to leave soon?"
((Depending on the answer, can we close with 1. yes, they say tata, and it's done or 2. no, mina says let's hang out again for old time's sake homie, and then they walk away together with plans to have a picnic by a volcano or something and it ends?
Or maybe something else would work. Hmm.))

((Woo! 8D Wanna end it and continue their adventures in another thread? They can derp around for a while before going their separate ways again?
Although TBH I'll probably be suupppeeerrr slow with normal RP tags until the battle event's over. OTL))

((Taking it to another thread would probably be a good idea. Um, where the heck are we currently? Are we actually in the stadium of a town, or are we at a real volcano? If the latter, where on Zatao are we?))
"Mm, I'm not really going any particular direction right now, so whichever way you are going is as good as any," Shina said rather agreeably. "I do like traveling with people. My pokemon are wonderful, but sometimes it is nice to have a human to talk to."

((Maybe somewhere near Clockwork Wasteland? I have limited knowledge on volcanoes, but their ash usually kills stuff, then makes plants grow (<- Words that reveal my impressive intelligence holy cow)? <_> Which would kind of make sense in the Clockwork setting?))
"That's great!" Mina said. Recalling her other Pokémon, she hoisted herself on Anala's back. With an eager neigh, she took them both across the flowing lava onto Shina's side of the molten river, after which she nuzzled the human amiably, glad to finally be close enough to greet her. "Let's get going, then!"

Shina ran a hand down Anala's neck, and gave a good scratch to the spot between the eyes that often seemed to be an itchy spot for Rasha. After a moment lavishing attention on the Ponyta, Shina released Rasha, who happily nuzzled her old stable-mate. While Rasha was distracted, Shina quickly and competently saddled Rasha, then mounted. "Lead the way!" Shina invited cheerfully.
