Leto squeaked irritably when the Joltik striked next, the sparks of electricity running through her body and causing her muscles to spasm. She had experienced something similar just earlier that day, and she nearly drowned for it!
Without waiting for further command, she threw herself at the spider-like opponent, paw glowing red as she attempted Rock Smash once more.

Alycen watched Aminah attempt to evade the incoming attack, on damaged legs, and instinctively stepped closer on her platform to see better. Alycen saw Ami just avoid the attack and thrilled silently, hope for victory churning inside her. "Quick, Ami, try another Discharge!"
Astonishment and relief coursed through Aminah as she barely missed the Rock Smash coming towards her. She quickly shook off her daze, grounded herself, and released more electricity around herself.

Her anger making her brash, Leto pelted towards the Joltik but found her attack easily dismissed, and another jab of electricity got her in the back.
"<<Hey!>>" she cried angrily, turning to face the Joltik with another Rock Smash. "<<That hurt!>>"

Alycen looked back and forth between the two battling Pokemon, only realizing that Aminah's opponent was attacking on her own. That's not supposed to happen, is it? She glanced at the opposing trainer on the other platform, wondering at her lack of reaction. Focusing her attention back on the battle, she noticed that Leto was still paralyzed.This was their chance! "Ami, use Bug Bite!"
Adrenaline rushed though Aminah, upon realizing that her opponent was paralyzed and that the battle's end was drawing near. Either result, they were almost done. Revitalized briefly by the adrenaline, though she knew it wouldn't last, she sighed her relief as Alycen finally gave her direction. She dashed in, fangs bared and took aim.

Genesis continued to watch the battle, but she didn't seem too worried about the fact that Leto had begun to disregard her. They had not completed their training together, and Leto would have had to learn to act on her own anyhow. Still, she pretended to be afflicted with a cough for the other trainer's sake.
Offended that the other hadn't deigned to reply, she tried to attack him again, only to be frozen mid-stride by a paralysis that froze her limbs. It severely halted her path of motion, and the Joltik just barely missed.
Once she had possession of her movements again, she tried Rock Smash once more.

Aminah hissed her frustration, livid with herself and her missed attack and watched Leto struggle with her paralysis. So angry that she was, she missed the Rock Smash that sent her hurtling backwards, tumbling over and over until she landed in a heap. A cry of overwhelming pain and frustration escaped her as she tried and failed to get to her feet.
"", she screeched at Leto. This wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to win! She tried again to get up, her legs trembling beyond her control and collapsed on her side. Her vision graying, she focused on Leto as best as she could, still thoroughly shocked, and cried faintly, "" The gray eclipsed her vision completely and she fainted.
Alycen sighed and grimaced as she returned her fainted Pokemon to her pokeball, knowing that Ami's frustration and anger would be great and she wouldn't lightly forget this defeat. Herself, Alycen thought they'd both done great and relished the experience, even if she was a bit disappointed from the loss. She looked across at the other trainer and quirked a smile. "Thanks for the battle...and congrats! You both did great."

When Genesis looked back up, she saw Leto stood victorious above a fallen Joltik. They were pretty evenly matched, so the outcome wasn't one she could say she was truly interested in, but there was still an act she had to put up.
"Thanks!" she returned, wearing a small smile of her own. "You two did, too! Mine didn't even listen to me all the way," she said with a nervous laugh, recalling Leto. "I hope we'll get to see you around again," she finished before giving a final wave and stepping off the stage.
