Having seen Yang sway along with the music Mitsu reached up to gently scratch the bird's underbelly. She was taking a liking to bird, he was adorable. " Yes, I had only gotten to play with my brother before and then Xiu for practice for the music club. This though...this was different." She smiled. " I think I enjoyed this the most." With an enthusiastic nod she grinned at the reaper, " Yes, I would like that very much." As she thought of another song her fingers idly hit keys in a soft melody which was mostly background noise. It was too soft to actually be a song. Then as she finally seemed to settle on something the notes started to pick up in volume as she hit the keys earnestly. The tune she had been playing lapsed into the actual song she had in mind seamlessly and once again she closed her eyes nodding her head in time with the music.

Yang coo'd as Mitsu scratched his underbelly before fluffing out his feathers to get comfortable again. Shun watched them with a hint of amusement. The white falcon definitely seemed to have taken a liking to the wolf girl. Much more than Yin, who tended to prefer to be off on her own, or stick close to him. He waited patiently as she situated herself to begin another song. This one, he knew. He had played it a couple times before. Once he got the timing down, he began to play along, working carefully to stay in the same beat with Mitsu. After a few notes, he too closed his eyes and allowed himself to get lost once again. It really was something.

That warm feeling was there again as Shun joined along side her, playing his guitar in sync with her piano. The harmonizing made her feel closer to the reaper somehow, not unlike when they hugged or kiss. It was different but still the same.
Her fingers continued to drift along the keys, playing the song to the very end. When it finally came to a close she did like she did for the last and let the last few notes fade out softly, the last note lingering until it fell silent. Opening her eyes she looked at the reaper first with a smile before she turned to Yang to give him another pet for being such a good bird.
"Is there anything you would like to play?" Mitsu asked curiously. She wanted Shun to have a chance to play something he wanted to play.

The bird fluffed happily as he was patted again, remaining where he was. It seemed that he was pretty content where he was, watching the girl's fingers work the keys. The sight was intriguing to say in the very least. It was similar to what his master did, yet different all at the same time. It wasn't until the song came to an end that Shun reopened his eyes to meet with Mitsu's. A soft and subtle smile touched his lips as he gazed at her. Rather than say anything, he just nodded slightly before taking a moment to think. A few seconds of silence went by before he began to strum out the first few notes of their next song. The tempo was quicker than the past two, but he had little doubt that Mitsu would be able to keep up.

His smile, while small, still lite up his face. It made Mitsu's heart flutter at the sight of it. She still wished to hear him laugh, maybe someday she would get to hear it. A true laugh not invoked by tickling...not that she wouldn't secure her revenge from the last tickle session. Yes, victory would be hers.
Tilting her head slightly, she watched Shun carefully as he contemplated the next tune, her ears turning toward him as he began to play. It was only seconds before her mind processed the first few notes putting them into place and matching them with the song. It was a bit more upbeat than they had been playing and she was fine with that as her fingers touched down and then danced across the clavier matching Shun's pace and rhythm. This time, however, she did not take her eyes off the reaper. She watched him as he played getting lost in the music that they were making together. She sincerely hoped that they could be together like this, able to play and enjoy each others company, for a long long time to come.

Midway through the song, Shun glanced up from his guitar to see Mitsu gazing at him. His expression softened, and he continued to play along while staring right back into her eyes. He never thought he would enjoy this sort of thing so much, but the Reaper found that this love thing was just full of so many new things.
In the back of his mind, there was a small sort of dread however. It was very slight, and right now it was incredibly easy to overlook it. But he realized there could be certain.. complications regarding his relationship.
A complication named Kaitou.
But, that was not a concern right now. Not an active one at least. It was there, nestled away in the depths of his mind.
For now, he just enjoyed this experience with Mitsu without too much of a care in the world. And before too long, he hit the final note, letting it sound out as he hit the strings.

Shun had caught her eye while they played and Mitsu didn't look away as she stared back into that dark brown gaze. It was almost surreal for a moment, not a worry in the world as they continued to play. Not school, homework, training, or even hunters were on her mind. Just Shun and the music they were making.
Hitting the last note Mitsu's tail began to wag happily as she set down her keyboard gently since Yang was still sitting on it and scooted closer to Shun. Leaning against his leg gently she smiled up at him. "Thank you for playing with me." It meant so much that he would do this with her.

There was still that sort of smile lingering in his expression. Since their jam time was over, it seemed, he went on and set his guitar aside. Looking down at her, he lightly ran his fingers through her hair.
"No. Thank you," he said softly.
The young falcon shifted his wings as the keyboard was moved. Once on the ground, he hopped on off and went elsewhere in the room for the time being.
"You really are a talented pianist, by the way," he complimented.

Her smile never faded as his hand ran through her hair. Nuzzling her cheek against his knee she grinned proudly. Somehow hearing it from him meant that much more. "And you are wonderful with the guitar." He really was, especially since he didn't use sheet music and probably never had, at least without difficulties. For him it was all by ear and it was extremely amazing.
"I brought a book too, do you want me to read to you?" Mitsu asked curiously. "We can sit together while I do. It's a pretty good story." It was rather interesting with its action and adventure. It certainly kept her attention.

"I'm just alright, really," he said quietly before looking at her curiously. A story? Now, when Mitsu read to him, it was generally informative things. Textbooks, newspaper articles, and other pieces along that same vein. Due to his little disability, he never really got into literature. Even with the presence of audio books, he just never looked into them.
Granted, a part of that was likely due to the fact that there wasn't much he was able to indulge in.
"What kind of story is it?" Shun asked. It was a little weird in a way too. He'd never been read an actual story. His mother wasn't around and his father certainly didn't take up that mantle. Any stories he heard were.. well.. actual accounts of things that happened.

As soon as Shun asked about the story Mitsu stood and made her way to the bedside where she had laid her book down. Picking it up she showed him the cover to help with her explanation. It looked to have a girl on the front facing a strange brightly colored world. Clocks were distorted and had wings, the roadway was patched to look like a chess board and the bushes with roses looked to be bleeding red. The distance seemed to have multiple destinations, one being a theme park, another a mansion, and the last being a castle. The whole image was rather surreal looking.
"Its about a girl in a strange world where they don't seem to understand the concept of good or bad. The three places are at war with one another so there are lots of battles and action but the girl is trying to help them sort out their differences. The only safe place is the clock tower that is set in between them all. Night and day don't really follow any sort of pattern and there is this odd concept called a season where the weather changes constantly." It was hard for Mitsu to understand because in Halloween they only had one season, always constant though it did range from warm to cool it was never too extreme. Not like in the book where there would be summer and spring and even winter with snow.
"I have only made it so far into the book but its rather fun to read. They treat their plane of existence kind of like....a game I guess. They all have roles that they have to play whether they want to play them or not. I had just gotten to the Ball that they all had to attend." It wasn't hard to see the enthusiasm behind Mitsu explanation despite how hard it might be to follow. She had rather enjoyed the book and hoped to share it with him. "What do you think? Do you want to hear some of it?"

This story sounded like an odd one, and yet it intrigued him. A part of him was a little apprehensive, though. In a way, it seemed almost silly to him. Shun stared at the cover of the book for a bit, then looked up towards the girl. He supposed it couldn't hurt to listen to a piece of the story. Mitsu seemed to be pretty excited for this after all.
"Alright," he said quietly before crawling further into his bed so he could lean against the back and relax.
"I've.. never been read a story before."

Pleased with his answer Mitsu held the book close in one arm while she used the other to help her crawl along the bed toward the reaper. There was a pause for a moment while she decided where to sit. She enjoyed being close to him though and had liked sitting in his lap, perhaps he wouldn't mind..
There was only a little hesitation in her movements, waiting for some sort of protest as she settled herself on her knees in front of the reaper, his legs on either side of her almost like armrests. She leaned forward for a moment, just enough to press a light kiss to his cheek before she turned and relaxed into him. Yes, this was nice.
"You've never been read a story before?" Mitsu would have been surprised but taking into account what little she knew of Shun's history there wasn't much surprise to be had. Though, honestly she couldn't remember being read to either, she was always the one doing the reading. Her parents might have read to her but that was so long ago she couldn't remember. "I'll just have to do my best so that you enjoy it."
Comfortably in place Mitsu opened the book and leafed through the first few pages until she was at the beginning. Chapter one. The beginning wasn't anything exciting, more of a build up of character and a background of where she had come from. It seemed normal enough but near the end of the chapter the white rabbit appeared or rather a man with rabbit ears. He spoke in nothing but rhyme and before the chapter was over he had kidnapped the heroine and had taken her down the rabbit hole to a strange new world.

For a moment, Shun tilted his head as Mitsu crawled up to him. He didn't mind where she decided to sit and just remained where he was. It was comforting to have her close anyway, and he was sure she felt the same.
"I haven't," he affirmed before glancing at the book as she began to find the beginning, "I'm sure you'll do just fine."
As the story began, he listened carefully to the words read to him. He tried to follow along with his eyes but... that proved to be rather difficult. After awhile, he gave up and just took in the story. The rabbit character was.. an odd one to say in the least.
"Speaking only in rhymes seems.. more trouble than its worth," he commented while blinking.

After the first chapter was done Mitsu paused for a moment as Shun commented on the white rabbit. "It is odd at first but the more you get into the story its just a part of his character. It seems to suit him." Mitsu wasn't sure if she liked the white rabbit or not. It was hard to determine since he brought the fabled Alice to this new world so that he could be close to her, but he had kidnapped her to do so.
"It picks up from here though," Mitsu smiled. "Do you want to hear a little more?"
