Chaonis laughed as she swiped at him, and she would have seen that his fingers had blood on them already, from her previous fighting. He didn't seem to notice or care though, as he was fully focused on this new game of DMC-kitty torture.
It wasn't cruel when it was a bad guy, and one that wasn't really a cat. And anyway, all the ads said that catnip was perfectly safe. So, really, he wasn't doing anything wrong to the animal. Person. Besides putting her in the trash can.
But that had only been for a second.
He watched as she seemed to fall into a daze with the toy, laughing all the while. Well, it seemed he knew how to keep her calm now. Something told him there wasn't any such thing as Dark Senshi n**, though.
That would be too convenient.
"See? No problems. You look like you're enjoying yourself. Why can't you just trust me?" His grin was so far from trustworthy it was like he didn't know what the word meant, "I'm a good guy." He wiggled the toy to see if she would follow it, or just roll around.

No, there was no such thing as Dark Senshi n**, sorry Chaonis. He was just gunna have to figure out a way to deal with the human Navi on his own when she was back in her own skin.
The mouse snagged on one of the cat's claws, and she pulled it closer, back feet curling up to kick at it lazily. Momentarily forgetting the other senshi was there as all her attention narrowed in on the toy and the intoxicating scent of cat n**.
She blinked when he spoke, round eyes rolling up to watch him, and his question earned him harsh little bark of laughter. "Really, would you trust you?" She didn't dare comment on whether or not she was enjoying herself, he didn't deserve the satisfaction of knowing. If she was, it'd prove him right, if she wasn't, it's just amuse him. There was no way to win there, so Navi just didn't play.
The toy moved, and her attention snapped back down to it, sharp little teeth sinking into the fabric skin. Oh God, it even tasted amazing. This thing was evil!
Her voice came out muffled around the plush body of the mouth, refusing to let it go even as she offered her retort. "Good guy my a**."

Chaonis watched her with a huge grin on his face, shaking his head. Normally he wouldn't spare a cat playing with a toy the time of day, but this one was not only cute (and she was, though he would not admit it), but hilarious.
Because he knew just what was happening here.
And she would never, ever live it down.
When she looked at him with her huge eyes he knew she was really lost to the n** at the moment. At her question he paused, then decided that, no, he wouldn't trust himself if given the same situation. He grinned with no trace of innocence anywhere near his face. Or soul,
"I miss your a**," he sighed in return, though he laughed and picked up the toy, holding it above her once he freed it of her claws and teeth. "If you're stuck like this you're going to the pound."

The grin was answer enough, and she offered a snort as if to punctuate her point. In the short time that Navi had known the senshi of danger, she had easily figured out that there was always an ulterior motive, some unspoken joke, or a desire to be a hassle. He was not an easy man to deal with.
She smirked as he lamented the loss of her a**, and she couldn't help but purr as she asked, "Just my a**?" There were so many lovely attributes to miss.
The teasing lasted only until he pried the toy out of her grip and moved to hold it above her head. She started at intently, tail twitching, then rose to her feet and made a swipe at it.
"You wouldn't take me to the pound, you like me too much." The comment was idle as she rose up on her back legs and made a grab for the mouse, knocking it twice with the tip of a paw before snagging it with a claw and tugging at it.
"And do you really think one of those cages could hold me?" She rolled her eyes as she clung to the mouse. "I'd escape and then have to hunt you down. You'd never be rid of me."

"I could just put you in the kitty hotel again," he laughed and watched her. He was almost jealous, though he imagined she would not have been so mellow if she had a choice in the matter. And he would not like to be a cat.
Definitely not.
He let her have the toy, then moved to pick her up. He imagined they should be wrapping up their games. He was staying powered up for a while and he didn't want to draw any unwanted attention while he had a high kitty to keep from getting squashed.
Aw, maybe he did care.
Or he just didn't want to deal with all that hassle.
"Now, where should I deposite you until this thing wears off?" he was more thinking out loud. He was going to take her somewhere to keep her otu of trouble and out of his hair, so to speak. Idly, his fingers skritched her ears.

Whatever smugness she'd attained from her challenge faded at the threat of being left in a garbage can with something heavy holding down the lid. It made her eyes narrow as she sank teeth into the mouse.
As he let it go she fell back against the concrete, rolling on her back to kick back feet and sharp claws into the n** filled body of the thing. She'd made up her mind, catnip was evil, and Chaonis was the devil for subjecting her to it's intoxicating effects.
Languid as she now was, she barely moved when he picked her, up rather dangled in his arms until he settled her a little more comfortably. Stuffed mouse held protectively within dexterous paws. She did look up at him though, curious what he was thinking now, but the idle question was answer enough.
"That is a very good question." She couldn't have him take her home, that was just stupid, and Grant's place was further off limits for the same reason. She frowned as she thought about it, the tip of her tail twitching gently. "Somewhere safe." Location didn't so much matter, though she'd prefer somewhere closer to home, but it had to be safe. She was already at a gross disadvantage as a cat, but with the catnip mellowing her so effectively..
Well, it was better not to find out.

Chaonis sighed. He wasn't sure what to do with her now that she was strung out and neither of them could tell the other where they lived. He carried her back to their shared comfort zone: the community center. He didn't go inside, climbing onto the roof once more and sitting down on it.
He put her in his lap, running his hand over her fur as she chilled out.
They would just have to wait out the high. He took the toy from her, tossing it away and holding on to her so she didn't go chasing after it. He tried not to smile at her, though, as that would be a little too soft of him. He was already being nice, just keeping her company.
That was more than enough.
He told himself if he got too bored, he'd just leave her to whatever happened.

Clearly Chaonis hadn't thought his little idea through, or he'd have foreseen these complications.
When he placed her in his lap she sprawled across his legs, butting her head up against his hand as he pet her. A rolling purr springing up to fill the quiet of the night around them.
This was much better then the senshi roller coaster from before.
The mouse shifted in her grip, and she automatically moved to grab it, but the hand he placed on her kept her in place as he threw it away from her. "Hey wait, I liked that.." She protested, pawing at his leg in a bid to squirm free to retrieve it, but once it was actually out of sight she seemed to calm, settling back into his lap.
After a moment she turned so she could look up at him without straining her neck. There was a softness to his features she wasn't used to seeing, but she didn't comment. It was a comforting sort of look, and she didn't want to say anything that might ruin it. Instead she curled up in his lap, resumed her purring, and waiting for the effects of the n** to fade away.
