Jove simply stared as arcs of electricity crackled off the black dog, eyes wide with surprise. Wow. Maybe he would rethink that tactic later, it appeared he had lost his grip just in time!
Snorting with amusement at Tybalt's comments, Jove darted forward and nipped at the outside of the black dog's legs. He could practically feel the residual static electricity on his fur... That would have been some attack if he had gotten caught up in it!

Tybalt blinked at Jove for a second. He could have sworn Jove wasn't this poofy looking before... Maybe his attack did more damage to himself than he though and his vision was playing tricks on him..?
When Jove moved in for his next attack, Tybalt snarled. Those needle like teeth were sharp and he could feel every single tooth sink into his leg again. Though this time, he whipped his own head around and bit the little wisp, prying him loose.

Jove yelped as teeth closed on his fluffy body once more, but this time it hurt enough to make his head spin. Those giant teeth dug through the fur and cut into his skin, tearing and bleeding on his the left side. He forgot all about attacking and struggled to get loose.
He might have clipped Tybalt's jaw with a little foot in the process, but dealing damage was not the foremost thought in his mind while trying to free himself from the painful grip.

Tybalt growled, at the kicking, but instead of biting down harder, he spun around and flung the wisp across the arena.
He didn't like attacking him, but if he chose to pull his attacks, it would hurt Jove more than any physical damage he caused him. Something which, the black dog was sure the little wisp would not forgive him for. Besides, this was to help each other get stronger, there was no point in holding back!

Jove flew quite a distance across the arena, bouncing once with a slight splat noise before rolling another couple feet. There were dark red marks where he landed, a smear of ghostly blood that was already beginning to evaporate oddly.
But even though he was tired, the little pup sprang to his feet and charged his friend. With that much warning he knew it would be hard to land a hit, so at last minute he darted to one side, nipping rather than grabbing on and making himself a stationary target.

Tybalt grinned as the pup charged him.
"Great spirit, Jove! Keep it up!" He called, running to meet him, trying to snap his jaws at him again. Though this time, rather than catch him, he missed, making it easy for the pup to dart past him and n** at his sides. It stung like usual, but at least this time the pain was brief.

Jove grinned with little daggers as he whirled around, only spurred onwards by the encouragement. He was like a little puppy that just didn't know it was time to lie down. He zoomed forward, and instead of delivering another well placed n** to Tybalt's legs, the pup had somehow closed the size gap and gave the black dog a rough body-check.
Suddenly it wasn't a little puppy Tybalt was facing, but a much larger pale dog, with long flowing fur and bright glowing eyes. It grinned a gap-toothed smile, almost as though saying "I bet you didn't expect that one!"

Nope, he definitely did not expect that! He stood there stunned for a brief moment as he eyed the larger dog that had replaced the tiny wisp.
What was this? Some sort of growth spurt?
Whatever it was, he didn't have the strength to face it. He already felt weak, his legs shaking under his weight. It wouldn't be long now until the battle was over. Just one good hit would do it...
One good hit...
Ah that was right, he still had a little something of his own up his sleeve. He was going to lose, yes, but he wasn't going down alone.
He grinned, as the sparks flew about a second time. Not quite as strongly as the first time, but strong enough to charge enough power to unleash one last attack on the pup and it was. A single bolt of blue lightning lashed out, this time striking him dead on. Though just as he had predicted, the recoil took the remaining bit of whatever Fear he had left; knocking him back onto the ground.
He was unconscious.

Jove's feeling of triumph was short-lived, he recognized that grin on his friend's face. Then the sparks flew, and Jove had not a moment to run before the giant bolt of lightning struck him, sending his fur fluffing out dramatically.
It was too much for what little strength he had left. Jove passed out, poofing into his small puppy form and falling to the ground without leaving a trace of his earlier transformation.
