Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • was rather surprised to hear that Juno was a teacher and not a student. He didn't seem that old. Was he that old? Would it be improper for her to ask how old he was? A while ago she had found out the hard way that you shouldn't ask an older female how old she is. They get touchy over the subject. Would a male do the same? Maybe, she just wouldn't ask for now. She did catch his wink at the end though and it made her cheeks burn slightly. Why did he have to do such things?
"Ah ok." It made sense for everyone to have powers. I mean, this school was really hard to get to and find after all. "Aye. as far as oi nu oi can manipulate de cowl. oi don't really nu much else aboyt dem though." Avalbane probably knew as much about her powers as Juno now did. Although she had been born with them, learning how to use them properly or what exactly they could do was a big question.
The cafeteria? What was that? The word sounded familiar but at the same time she couldn't recall if she actually knew what it was. If he was suggesting she would want to know then, she would agree. "Umm, sure. i'll proobably nade ter nu wha de cafeteria is." The word cafeteria was awkward coming out of her mouth. It was obvious she had not said it often. Since all of her stuff was on the bed, she didn't need to worry about bringing anything with her. Moving away from the bed, she headed towards the door, ready to follow Juno around again.

Juno took a slight moment in order to decipher her sentence. It seemed her accent was a bit stronger that time. After a moment though, he smiled. "Don't worry, you'll learn as much as you can about them here." Though perhaps that seemed a bit of a lie considering that even now after years of practice with his own abilities, he had never tested the extent of how far he could drive them. But it was true for other current heroes that had attended SA, right..? His smile faltered.
Pressing forward, he opened the door for the young lass.
"Well off we go!" He said adventurously. "I'm a bit hungry as well so this little detour will be convenient." He laughed.
Now on their way to the cafeteria, Juno decided to strike up a little conversation.
"So if you don't mind me asking, where're you from?"

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • felt better hearing that. At least she didn't have to worry about not knowing how to use her powers or controlling them. That last part was her main worry. Especially after what had driven her family away from Ennis. She might have been young at the time, but part of her felt like she could remember the whole ordeal perfectly. It was something that use to haunt her in her dreams when she was younger. Now it was almost a distant memory, especially with all the new things and people she was learning about and running into. Maybe if this kept up, that memory would be wiped from her mind forever. That wouldn't be too bad. At least that is how she felt.
Seeing his smile change, Avalbane got a bit worried. But as soon as it had happened, it seemed Juno was heading towards the door and out of it. Maybe he had just stopped smiling for a minute. Taking a break. His mouth proably got tired of smiling all the time.
Avalbane had followed him out the door and down the hall like a little puppy. As soon as the area opened up and there was a lot of room, she found herself walking next to him. Trying to keep up with his pace. Her metal leg would hit the floor below with a bit more of a thud then her other foot. Their footsteps were slowly starting to get in tune with one another and as she stared down at their feet, she started smiling. It was funny how simple things could make someone happy. She realized, however, that she needed to be paying attention to where they were going. She didn't need to smack into a wall.
Looking up to take note of how to get to the cafeteria, Avalbane heard Juno start to speak to her. Looking up at him, she thought for a moment. Did he know she was an alien or was this just normal causal conversation. "D-du yer mean wha oi wus born or wha oi live nigh? Cause...umm..they are completely different places." Which was true. She didn't really wait for an answer, she would just talk. Most people couldn't' tell she was an alien. The glowing eyes and freezing temperatures did give off some hint that something was up, but she did have powers. They could easily come from that. "Oi'm actually not from dis planet." That sentence felt weird coming from her mouth. It would be the first time she had told anyone that. "O-oi came from a wee planet called Ennis. Umm..oi live in ronth nigh though." She had told him that just in case that is actually what he meant.

As Juno was taking an extra moment to decipher the youth's strong accent, she'd already begun to answer her own question.
"Ennis is it? Can't say I've heard of it. Would you mind telling me about it? And how do you like Ronth so far? Curiosity getting the better of him here. He did wonder how a girl like this would like it in a place like Ronth. Its dreary atmosphere wasn't all that inviting and her abilities would make things seem even colder. Though that was only his personal logic working.
It wasn't long though until they turned a corner to find the cafeteria's doors.
"Oh, well look at that. Here already!" Juno noted brightly. "Think you can remember the way? It's pretty straightforward." He smiled brightly down at the very interesting foreign youth.

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • nodded when he asked about Ennis. He managed to get the name right, which was usually hard for others to do considering Avalbane's accent. "Ennis is really wee. De lan' is frozen an' de air is cowl. Most people from dare 'av powers. De ones dat du not are de odd ones. Unlike dis planet. so'tiz barl perishin' dare." She realized there really wasn't much to say about her home planet. Most of what she remembered was when she was younger. Those memories were probably faulty anyway. Her parents would know more about it than she would. Maybe Sharp Shooter could meet them, they could tell him all about the odd planet. "Ronth is nice," She started, thinking on her new home, "Whaen oi first got 'ere we lived on de streets. Oi didn't fend oyt dat wus unusual 'til oi met another wane. De place is kind av fierce but oi really loike it. It reminds me av 'um." In an odd way, it did remind her of her old home.
As she talked, she didn't realize they had already made it to the Cafeteria. Avalbane turned her head and looked at the large double doors that were in front of her. There was a sign above them, one she couldn't read. Through assumption, she figured it read cafeteria though. "Ah!. Oi can mind dis." It really was a pretty straight path down. There was no reason she could get lost now. Though if she did, maybe wondering around would be enough to find something familiar. Guess it was time for her to wonder back and stare at Sharp Shooter on her way to her room. But before they parted ways, she had to ask him something. "Waaat is yisser rayle name?" It was something Ava wanted to ask him since almost the beginning. She knew his hero name, probably heard of him on the TV once but wasn't sure, but his real name that was something she wanted to know. If he didn't tell her that was fine, but Ava was curious.

"Ah, I wonder what it'd be like to live on a planet where powers were completely ordinary...." Juno mused momentarily, tapping his chin with a fingertip. He supposed it would be nice not having to hide it? Though privacy and secret identities... What would happen with all that? "I would have never guessed a young lady like you would enjoy a place like Ronth. Juno chuckled, she was such a sweet kid. Fancying Ronth wouldn't seem to be on the top of her list.
"Alrightie then kiddo! I hope you settle in nicely." Juno gave Avalbane a friendly salute and half-bow. "And maybe see you around a bit more, eh?" he winked as he turned to waltz on to do hero-y business and etc when just then he was stopped by another inquiry.
"Ah, sorry Avalbane. But I don't give that away on first meetings. Maybe next time." Juno grinned and gave her a pat on the shoulder before turning again to be on his way.
