He snorted softly. "Certainly not a pet. Though yes, in general Thralls are either mothers or nannies. Female reavers have a hard time mothering their own cubs so they need a helping paw." Pausing he considered all the female reavers he knew. "And some of them just don't want cubs. Taking thralls is also the way we bring new blood into the pride, I have lost count of how many half-siblings I have in the pride." Pausing he considered her for a long moment. "The other choice is to fight for your place and become a reaver. But then I could not protect you. Oh, and I do hunt.. I like to make my own kills, I was just describing what most thralls do, since I've never actually had one myself." He shrugged faintly. "So we would hunt together, and eat together."
He tilted his head and met her gaze. "Out here you hunt and you protect yourself, alone. Without companionship, without comradeship. Come with me and I promise, you wont be alone again. Yes, to the pride you will belong to me, but I want a partnership, not a servant." Sighing softly he crossed his paws as she ate. "If I just wanted a baby-maker, I could take any of the pride thralls, or capture some random female... but that doesn't interest me. I want a partner, someone who is my equal, and who isn't afraid to tell me when I am being a complete idiot." He chuckled softly, staring at the ground in front of him almost bashfully. "Since I put paw in mouth often enough to make my reavers nervous."

Brìghde stared at him a long time, considering him and what he had said. He was handsome enough she supposed, and she did get lonely out her more often then not, her stomach thought it was a good idea, but this Thrall stuff got the back of her neck fur up.
" Once more question, the rest of your Pride, how do they see these Thrall's and how do they treat them, because I can promise you the first one who orders me to do something or cuffs me about the ears is going to pull back a bloody stump for a paw."

He grinned at her words, blue eyes warming. "I am rather counting on that. Of course there are some who consider thralls to be lesser, but you would be mine and any who try to take advantage of you will be answerable to me." Pausing he smiled. "And frankly, if they manhandle someone who is mine, they deserve all the pain they get."
Dropping his gaze he quieted for a long moment, then looked back up at her almost as if nervous, or hopeful. "Will you come with me?"

A Pride offer...a place to belong. Somewhere to always be warm, to always have food. To have someone to talk to...and maybe, just maybe, when she was settled, and not so thin, and didn't have to think about the next meal or the next attack that might come out of nowhere..she could look again for her brother. Maybe ask this male to help her.
Brìghde chewed the inside of her cheek. It would mean giving up some freedom, but she could live with that. It was a trade off. Food for freedom, and as she had thought before, he was easy on the eyes. Oh he wouldn't be rolling her in the savanna grass anytime soon, no matter what he thought. If he ever got that far it would be on her terms when she decided. She wouldn't give up that much freedom.
Taking another delicate bite, she chewed, swallowed and met his blue gaze with her green one, " Well I bloody well don't have much of a choice do I? Its the only way to keep you from stalking me!"

Later he would never admit to being nervous, but as he watched her think, slowly chewing on the meal he had gifted to her, his stomach had tied itself into such knots he was unsure if it would ever be able to unravel again.
Then, suddenly.. she agreed! Albeit rather grumpily, but it was an agreement and he had been so sure that she would have refused that for a long moment, he blinked stupidly. Suddenly a huge grin broke out across his muzzle, blue eyes surprised yet delighted. "Nope, not really." He grinned in agreement, wanting to shout his joy at the sky above but managing to hold onto what dignity he had left.
Pride and relief filled his chest, making him want to leap about, to feast and to pounce her all in one go. Yet he stayed put, managing to calm the manic grin into a slightly calmer smile. "Once you have eaten and rested, and if you are ready, we can start the trip home."
