Much in Bix fashion, despite saying it was let go, he continued to talk about it. "You're my bro. I'll dive in front of bullets.. or fire.. or claws.. for you. I would do the same for Gale or Tika or any of you guys really. Except Marcus. He can roast, I don't care." He snorted.
"But.. how about.. I'll try my best not to just dive in front of everything next time?" Bix smirked and poked Before with one of his socked feet.

The brunette wasn't disappointed that Bix continued the topic. He was actually glad for it! Yay for closure! Or, y'know, the closest thing either of them could get. Before let out a surprised squawk at the poke and scooted out of reach. Perhaps too far out of reach as he fell off the bed with a thud and a groan. He was... ticklish, which he hoped his bro wouldn't use to his advantage. "You either do that or give me the chance to do the same!" he winced from the ground, slowly sitting up and rubbing the back of his head.

"Ahahaha!" Bix cracked up when before hopped away from him and ended up on his butt on the floor. "What was that all about?" Bix was too manry for a tickle fight, for fear it seemed gay, but he definitely would be interested in knowing that little tidbit.
"I'm sure there will be plenty more battles where we will both almost die." He hoped not, but this was their life now. Bix offered his bro a hand to pull him off of the floor.

"Nuffin'. I'm just ticklish," Before muttered beneath his breath as he accepted the proffered limb. "But I'm good at tickle-fights, just so you know." he warned, puffing his chest up in an attempt to look serious. "You can ask After, he knows how good I am at it," he grinned as he climbed back onto the bed. "More battles, huh? You know, I don't have a prob with the whole killing those things. Not even... not even when we're facing against those huge-a** things and everything seems like it's hit the fan and we can't bail. I think, I think I can take that too." He sighed.
Shiiiiiit this convo was taking a turn for the depressing. Before clapped his hands against his cheeks, trying to snap himself out of it. Being mopey and sad sucked especially when he was with someone.

"Ooooh ticklish eh?" Bix waggled his fingers and laughed but he didn't attack, not when Before looked so sullen. It wasn't like his friend to behave this way. "Of course you can take it." Bix poked him with his socked foot once more, but this time only in the leg so that his friend wouldn't toss himself off the bed. "You are badass. You are tough. Why ssssso serious?" he did a horrible Joker impression. "Don't get all mopey on my bro. It's my job to do that stuff and your job to throw a shoe at me. Just don't throw your shoes at the monsters anymore."

Before immediately tensed in anticipation of a tickle attack, hands flying up to shield himself. When he realized Bix wasn't being serious about it, he gave a deep sigh of relief. He gave the pale-haired trainee a wry grin in response to the serious question, unfortunately the impression was so bad Before failed to get it. "You're prolly the first to ask me that. A whole lotta people say I don't take things serious enough."
Teal eyes darted elsewhere as he recalled a certain female Death trainee. He was still so confused and upset as ******** over it but it wasn't Before's style to try to work things out with someone who had cut off all ties with him. It wasn't his call after all. "I think I'm done with the boot-slinging. They're going to start charging me for every pair I lose," he half-heartedly chuckled. "Besides, I have Vanna, and she's aces!"

"Well you don't take things seriously." Bix smiled. "But I like that and it throws me off when you get all mopey and serious. It's not a bad thing. We're surrounded by awful s**t and I admire that you are so happy." He looked away when he said it because their bro-love was forbidden! "Vanna is good for you." Bix tapped the happy face pin lightly and hoped she didn't mind. "I don't know her but I think she's awesome." Mina on the other hand.... MINA WHAT? She hissed. Bix ignored her but had noticed Before's darting eyes. "You cool then? Anything else you wanna tell me? Any gossip? GIRL STUFF?"

The pin's expression changed from it's neutral 8I to a visibly pleased *w* at the praise. I approve of your continuous friendship with this one, Before, the weapon-in-pin-form beamed.
The trainee, on the other hand, simply gave Bix a bright, grateful smile. "Hey, we may be surrounded by awful s**t, but I least I got you, Bro!" Again the mention of girl stuff had the brunette inwardly wincing. Should he tell Bix about Ariane? Teal eyes closed as he laid down on the bed, "Nah, it's all good. Just need a place to hang out without Judy breathing down my neck."

Bix was sort of amused by the pin. Why didn't Mina do anything cool? "Jude?" Bix blinked at that. He barely knew Jude but he seemed pretty sour. Bix didn't know Before spent any time at all with the guy. "He seems pissy all the time. Is he bothering you?" Bix wasn't much a 'charge down the hall and fight' kind of guy but he would be wary and defend his bro if it needed to be done.

Before didn't want his Bro to worry too much about Jude. The death hunter trainee may not be all sunshine and roses, but he meant well. Sorta. "Eh, if you can call not letting me stew in my own emo-soup "bothering", then uh yeah?"
This Judy of yours had clearly good intentions. And it was amusing to watch you two "spar", silly Before. Vanna giggled. It had been an interesting spar to say the least. What with all the hair pulling involved.
