Phina shook her head with a smile looking Jude once more and admiring his style. In her eyes he looked simply adorable and she really wanted to just hug him, but well that wasn't entirely appropriate and she had the feeling he would freak out. She hoped when she finally decided children were a necessity she hoped she could instill such style in them.
"No need to apologize or thank me. This is after all a clothing store, people try things on all the time. Now I have something for you," she said holding out the bag with the shirts in it to him.
"This is for you," she started, "but you can't peak into the bag until you get home. It's a thank you, so to say, for you interest in my shop." She smiled, "I hope you like it."
She hoped he would take it because quite frankly if he didn't Phina would eventually find a way to give it to him.

Phina had to have been a child of privilege, just offering like that -- and Jude stared up at her like she'd just grown a second, or maybe a third, head. His hands, tucked in around his coat, stayed exactly where they were, without so much as a twitch toward the bag. If anything, he retreated into himself a bit, huddling the coat in tighter.
"Um. What? Why?" He tried not to sound suspicious, but he could barely help himself; it crept out of him, heavy eyebrows knitted together and shoulders tensing beneath his jacket.

Phina gave a small laugh, she had kind of expecting the reaction, even if its not the one she wanted. "Relax, no need tense up. No catch, really."
She turned slightly looking out over the shop, "it just something I do. Ever since I opened the shop and of course before. It makes people feel more welcome and you know its just something nice, like being the 100th or 1000th customer, only I do it because I want to."
Phina looked back to Jude, "I don't mean to be rude or to upset you, but you just seemed like you could use a welcoming gesture." She continues to smile and offered the bag once more.
"You know I want all my customers to feel welcome and to come back. You're the same. I promise, however, next time that I won't bother you. I can't promise that I can keep the girls away however."

Jude stared at the rest of staff, stuck in the precarious position: his pride or his manners? He could either refuse and come across as rude and ungrateful, or accept, flinching a little, and be left feeling uncomfortable with the idea of a hand out.
He ended up somewhere in between -- uncomfortably reaching out to take the bag, eyes tracking the movement of his hand as if it was a traitor. He opened his mouth to reply, to say something, and was left too flustered to get it out.
Instead he beat it, retreating out the door. And god only knew if he'd be back.
