Maybe Bix had been right all along. Maybe he had been taking himself too seriously this entire time. There was nothing wrong with being serious in a fight - in fact, it was crucial - but taking himself too seriously was an entirely different matter altogether.
The wheel spun around again, colliding against Gale's shoulders. He skittered sideways, wincing a bit, then smirked, readying the gun in his hands.
"Yes, yes I have," he said, and laughed, taking a shot. The explosion of ice and bullets ricocheted around Before, but none actually hit the other, instead shattering into tiny pieces across the ground at his feet.

Before saw Gale take aim and was immediately assaulted with the desire to stand ******** still. O.O Which turned out to be the best thing ever as maybe the younger trainee has expected he would dodge and weave and do everything in his ability to GTFO of the way?
When the pinions of ice swirled past and around him, Before once again put his faith in Vanna and spun on his heels. He twirled a few extra times (like a pretty pretty ballerina, only replace pretty with awkward and ballerina with hippo) before releasing her.
Aaaaand there she went, his beautiful spinning wheel of DOOM aiming to clock Gale on the noggin. Oh s**t. Did Before just make his weapon's equivalent of a headshot? "After! U-uh, what say we end it here?" he suggested, running up to his Bro.

Weapon Charge: 3/3

Clearly he was losing this fight - and relatively badly - but for the first time in a very long time, Gale did not really mind.
Down on his knees on the ground, he attempted to get the air back into his lungs, his chest heaving as his head spun round and round again. He only vaguely heard Before's voice, his vision swimming in and out, and for a moment he didn't reply.
Then he twisted his head up, the smirk still in place, though it was a little wavering.
"I think...that's a good idea."

Before desummoned Vanna as he slung Gale's arm over his shoulder. "I don't think I've ever seen you fire that before! Wouldn't mind seeing it again. When you're not... uh... all banged up," he made a sheepish face at that, considering he's the one who gave Gale all of these bruises. "C'mon, Bro, let's get you outta here and patched up. Wouldn't want to give Dr. H a test subject, now, would we," he chuckled as he helped Gale out the Gym. As the passed through the doors, a distant look flickered across Before's features. But it was momentary and quickly replaced with concern for Gale's welfare.

"Probably because the last two times I've fired it in combat, you were blinded in some way or another," said Gale dryly, letting Before haul him to his feet and half carry, half drag him across the grounds.
"And no, I'd really like to not have to work under Doctor H, so getting patched up sounds good."
