Enyo smiled as the first place she was going was the kitchen, "Well its just a basic meat and veggie meal but you're free to share. This is just a test to see if I can cook at least decently; though watching your hungry friends is all I ask you do so they don't steal the meat I'm cooking with."
Enyo smiled as they reached the kitchens; she gave the herbs that they requested and kept the others that were for the healers. She then asked if there could be the meat to the hungry little ones. Enyo smiled looking back at Wykla as she handed her two bowls at a time to give to the four she had. Enyo looked at Wrappings and smiled, "Well if you like the shiny fabric you can have my spare pillow, its a dark blue but it has a nice shimmer. I got it for helping some one out a Turn ago."
Enyo then washed her hands as she began to gather the meats and fallow the directions written for her to prepare the meat. She looked a little unsure about touching the raw meat but soon ignored it as a cook told her to brave up if she wanted to do it right. Enyo put the meat into patty like shapes as then layered the herbs to flavor the meat. Once it was ready for the the fire she moved the meat to let it rest in on one the upper shelves of the fire pit. She was told to keep an eye on it while she started the veggies and boiled them on a heated flat rock.
(Note: I see stone pits and cooking tops as being appropriate for what I've been told these are simple times so the 'simple ovens' and 'stoves' are Fire pits with grooves cut in for racks which were used for baking breads and making certain meat dishes. while the [often black] flat rock were made for things like lightly boiling the waters and making flat cakes and breads as while as egg based dishes.)

Wykla gave a shrug, "as long as you don't ask me to help, I'm game." She had no problem with meat and veggies. Plus she had the perfect excuse not to help; feeding her flits. "I'll keep them occupied." Most of the time they were well behaved and wouldn't steal food. Pulling up a stool she nodded a thanks for the bowls of meat. She pulled the green off her shoulder and set her down on the table. Boreal went on his own, flipping his wings to his back. A moment later and she had the other two lined up.
Satisfied, Wykla began passing out pieces of meat to the four waiting flits. Wrappings looked up and trilled eagerly. "I think that's a yes," Wykla snickered. She offered pieces of meats slowly to the flits and watched Enyo. The girl nearly snorted as Enyo seemed slightly squimish about the meat. If she Impressed she'd better not be. Luckily with a bit of cook encouragement helped.

Enyo smiled as she was watching her food being cooked; she wasn't to cook over an open fire till she proved she could be safe around the flames. She added some butter cream to the veggies and when the cook wasn't looking she would put a little on some the meat to see how it would effect the food. Enyo was not trying to be rude but trying to think of ways to make more juicy meats. She tend to think random ideas when trying to learn something; mostly cause she wondered if there was more then one way to do something.
She looked back to Wykla hoping she wouldn't tell what Enyo was doing. Enyo smiled as she offered some celery to Wykla, "Snack while you wait for some food?"

She checked that all her filts were stuffed with all the meat they could eat. Once sure they were done, she pushed the bowls away from her. Wykla cleaned her hands off from the raw meat then watched passively for Enyo to finish her work. Waryily she eyed the offered green stalk for accepting with a shrug.
"So how much time do you usually spend here?" She chewed on the celery slowly. Boreal waddled from the table top onto His girl's lap to curl up.

"I spend as much time as I can with out getting in the way or causing some one trouble. I really rather like to stick to myself or think of songs." Enyo smiled as she checked the meat. It wasn't to much longer for the food to become done. She pulled the meat out and the parts that received the butter cream looked the most juicy looking and smelling meat.
Enyo gathered the food onto two plates as she let the rest cool so she could pack it for home. She asked for some the bread and butter cream so they could have a decent meal. She gave Wykla her plate with some the juicy looking meat as she made herself a plate as well. Enyo smiled, "Please let me know how I did on the meat."

Wykla softly stroked the soft hide of Boreal as he snoozed in her lap. He was, barring Kameth, the best antidote whenever she was nervous. Being in the kitchen made her uneasy. Numerous dishes of food had been ruined before the cooks had banned her permanently from their domain. She sniffed eagerly as the smells wafted around the kitchen. It didn't seem to bad.
"Sure thing. Thanks for cooking it." She cut a bite, then sniff tested it. Still smelled good to her, and her stomach gurgled. Wykla laughed and popped the piece in. She chewed slowly to get the full taste. It was tender and juicy. The rider nodded her approval to Enyo.

Enyo smiled and ate from her plate; the buttered meat tasted like it was flavored evenly and much better then she thought it would be. She smiled eating more as she felt proud she did a good job. Enyo finished and when Wykla finished she took the plates to wash them. Once washed she was allowed to take the food she and Wykla hadn't finished home to eat later when she wanted.
She wrapped the rest of the juicy meat separate and handed them to Wykla, "Here for later if you get hungry."
Enyo smiled and started to lead them out of the kitchens, "Shall we get the pillow for Wrappings?"

Wykla finished and leaned back slightly on her stool. It had been surprisingly good. She watched a moment as Enyo cleaned up. "So are you trying to become a cook?" It wasn't a bad occupation, she guessed, if one didn't become a rider.
She blinked as she was handed the package meat. "Oh thank you." Taking the meat she scooped the bronze from her lap and slid from the stool. "Alright," she replied following and gave a whistle. Her trio of greens swirled down from the rafters and fluttered along over head.

"I'm not sure what I am trying to be, I'm just looking for my strongest traits so that if I fail to impress I wont be useless." Enyo smiled leading them to her room in the Candidate's area. She smiled opening the door and moving to her bed.
Enyo's dorm room had a simple two area design one for a small kitchen the other for everything else. Her bed was simple and many her blankets were from her child hood. On her one person bed were three pillows; two brown clothed ones and a small square deep blue shiny pillow. Her blankets were bursts of faded color and gray extra's for the warmth. The dorm had a small kitchen like area and across from that was Enyo's small shelf with three books, four simple boxes and tons of knotted string showing the results and progress of trying to be a tailor.
Enyo smiled picking up the pillow and taking it to Wykla, "Here you are, one shiny pillow for Wrappings and please enjoy the meat."
Enyo looked around and offered her one chair that was next to the shelf; the light in the room was thanks to the lamps she had strung up along the ceiling. "Would you like to sit or do you have some where to be? OH! I forgot to go by the healers and take them the herbs. Sorry you can wait or come or do what you need, I'll see you tomorrow or around later," Enyo seemed to be forgetful when ever she was trying to hard to be nice to someone though she never felt it was a bad idea to be so kind to someone that had never really wronged her in any way.

She gave shrug, "no one here at the Weyr is useless." Wykla didn't mention the possibilities for one who didn't Impress and didn't specialize. Drudges didn't liver very exciting lives, though it was better than one in a Hold. She was glad she lived in Malvren. Better than stupid Benden.
Outside the candidate's part of the barracks, Wykla leaned against the wall. Her flits swirled around the room trilling to themselves. She cast an eye on them, then decided they wouldn't buzz to close to anyone even in their excitement. Greens could be so fluttery sometimes.
Wykla called Wrappings to her as Enyo came over with the pillow. She accepted it and tested it for fluffness under the watch of Boreal and Wrappings. "Nice and fluffy, should make you a good soft spot to curl up Wrappings." The green slithered down her front to examine the pillow herself. Her trills were excited after she finished and looked at Enyo.
"Be impromper for me to stay while your away," Wykla said gruffly. "I have stuff to do. Thanks for the pillow, she'll put it to good use. I'm usually around the Weyr. You can find me." The rider gave a departing wave and headed off. Wrappings wouldn't be happy until her new pillow was safe and positioned perfectly in her stash.

Enyo nodded and made her way to the healers calling back to Wykla, "Then I'll look tomorrow for you. I think I'll try to get another lesson in tailoring set up today."
Enyo smiled and looked to Wrappings, "Enjoy that pillow ok?"
