Beautiful again, he'd said. It was not a word she was used to hearing in reference to herself. "I wouldn't know. They are what they are. My offsprings' father had glowing eyes as well."

"Maybe glowing eyes is a more common trait then I thought in some blood lines. Its not such a recessive gene as it seems. My siblings share my red eyes as my mother has red eyes, but neither my sister nor my brother have glowing eyes. Im told my father's eyes glow though. All the better to see at night maybe? help light the way?", he was trying to be funny but he usully failed at it.

"I have never noticed if I see better or not. My sons... one of them share my eyes, the other has blue eyes like his father. I don't know that it makes a difference in their sight, either. I suppose, though," she allowed, "that it is common among some bloodlines. I have a friend who also has glowing eyes. His daughter carries the trait, from what I'vbe heard, though I've never met her."

"Oh I see, your the first I've met that has glowing eyes like me. I think it's really cool. I love your eyes, I wish mine were that color. They remind me of the stars reflecting on ocean on a clear night." he replied with a bright smile.

Darkspine could not help being put off-guard by this strange stallion. "You must see some rather odd stars. I would think they look more like the fireflies of the swampy marshes."

"Fireflies? Fireflies are pretty too..my mother has said that sometimes the way I see colors is a bit skewed. The shades I see in are off or something like that, I see thae right colors, but the tint isnt quite right. O'well regardless I find your eyes spectacular! I think I could stare at them all day...oh that's probably a little weird huh?", he gave a playful but slightly awkward and nervous laugh as he was making himself look like a fool.

"You're a bit touched in the head, aren't you?" Darkspine reply, actually laughing a little. "I find your company pleasing anyway. Where are you from originally?"

He chuckled light-heartedly with a soft smile, "Maybe so, but I live...well in the forest. I live a good ways southwest of here through the near-by forest. I was born there, but I'm always wondering off and exploring especially at night. I love star-gazing as it helps sooths my soul and ease my mind, but it doesn't compare to the ocean...nothing compares to her."

"I prefer the ocean. Was bor in it," Darkspine said, moving to look out the entrance of the den at the rolling waves. "It is calming and destruuctive at the same time." She grinned a bit. "I feel that way sometimes."

Ingram moved to the entrance of the den beside Darkspine and looked to the ocean waves. "We all have the potential for Destruction, it's our descion to act on it or not....but then new life comes from darkest ashes. Without death there can be no birth in some aspects of the world."

Darkspine nodded. "I was really thinking more along the lines about how sometimes I really feelt the need to slap others upside the head with my tail."

Ingram laughed a bit, "Oh right, we all have those moments. I've met many that I've wanted to head butt for their idiotic views and how they treat others. Going back to shunning someone jjust because they look a little different, judging one for their outward apperance alone...it makes my blood boil. Some of the nicest soquili I've met have been these so called 'different' ones. Its' nonsense."

"I only seem to knwo 'diferent' ones. I have yet to meet any Soquili that might be considered normal," the naga said, smirking. She turned to face the stallion. "How long will you stay here? I have room if you need it."

He looked to the sky from the dens entrance, "Oh it has gotten late. I knew it had gotten dark, but I didn't realize so much time had passed already. If it's not to much trouble could I stay here? I would hate to impose on you."

"You may stay," Darkspine said, moving back inside the cave. She was not used to sharing her home with another, other than her offspring before they'd left, but there was something endearing about the stallion that she wanted to spend more time with him. At least for now.
