The reigning and defending Intercontinental Champion wasn't exactly in much of a position to defend himself against the knee drop, being busy trying to break Harli's leg, and all. He had little choice but to release the hold as he grabbed his throat and began coughing and wheezing.

Harli rolled out of the ring while holding onto his knee, perhaps he may have injured his knee or maybe he is planning something sinister.

Fueled by rage, and an unyielding will to win, Major Devastation refused to let a sore throat and terrible coughing fit keep him down and kicked out emphatically as the ref counted two, trying to toss E-Rock off of him in the process. Of course, if he was successful, the sudden effort would likely end up bringing on another coughing fit.

*E Rock was surprised by the man's strength as he found himself a couple of feet away from the Major. Smirking, he tried to pounce on his opponent by locking in a reverse chinlock in an attempt to keep the pressure on the champ's neck and throat.*

Harli then rolled back into the ring after giving his knee some time to recover. He watched as E-Rock and Major where fighting it out. Harli then noticed E-Rock trying to lock Major into submission, Harli rushed towards E-Rock and tried to bring a foot down across his head to break up the hold

E Rock then rolled out of the ring, holding his head in pain.*

Harli then looked down at Major as he backed away giving Major some time to get back to his feet

Still coughing and rubbing his neck, Devastation started working his way up to his feet after Harli's boot to E-Rock's head broke up the attempted submission hold before it could be properly locked in. Things weren't exactly getting off to a good start for the champ, and he would have to put his discomfort out of mind, focus on the task at hand, and start fighting back if he was going to keep the Intercontinental title around his waist.
Looking warily at both of his opponents, Major would try to catch Harli in the jaw with a big right hand. If the punch hit its mark, the Devil Dog would quickly attempt to follow up with a right hook to the ribs.

Harli hadn't taken his eyes off Major after giving him enough room to get back to his feet, When Major threw the punch towards Harli's jaw. Harli caught Major's fist and attempted a few kick towards Major's left knee.

Major allowed the first of Harli's kicks to connect so that he could try to hook his free arm under his opponent's leg, so that if successful, he could then attempt to send the Aussie crashing to the mat with a Snap Fisherman Suplex.

(Major retain by pinning E-Rock. Thus Major will be the one to face Rebz in the Best of Five Challenge. )
