Clarice was just glad she had opted out on wearing her nice clothes and coat this time. She would also be taking a very long bath after this, "Try not to breath in too deeply. The smell isn't just bad, it's also bad for you." She sounded a bit strained, but powered forward, just one last step and then they would get to...take on more risks. Yeah, the tower was a place where the fun just doesn't stop until it stops you.

Out of flags, she gently tapped the next tile with her foot...

And the sound this time wasn't a click.

It was a buzz.

Or buzzing to be exact.

"Oh s**t BEES!"

Clarice desummoned Raeg and picked up the body of her fallen comrade. The ladder was...not quite easy going, and Harrison wasn't exactly a lightweight. But it was that or bees. And one just didn't leave their companions to bees. Unless there was grudge involved, of course, but in the Life Division that went without saying. She eventually carried/dragged/shoved his body to the safety of the next floor, and proceeded to apologize to her unconscious partner, "Sorry. I'd try to carry you down myself, because then I'd feel a lot better about the whole...bee thing. But I think that'd probably maybe kill you, so a couple of the guys in observation will get the honours this time."

Giving him a small pat on the head, Nice try, she climbed the steps to meet her princess, "Alright Princess, let's go...oh. Well. s**t." Maybe she would get to rescue Harrison after all.

Ohhh, Princess Harrison was a feisty one. Clarice smirked, "Yeah, just one sec, my lady." She studied the locks for a moment and then nodded, "I'm familiar with this set, so chances are I won't blow off one of your arms." Both sides clicked open easily enough, leaving the two unscathed.

"Now, would you like me to carry you off in my valiant arms, princess, or do you think you can manage the walk down?" This was actually a fairly valid question. The varying personalities pulled up from the p-database had a pretty wide range, and finishing this course was a lot easier if you could get the princess's cooperation in not passing out, throwing a tantrum, or declaring undying love at unfortunate moments.

Grinning, Clarice patted the princess's hand, "I'll carry you across any such villainous muck, wouldn't want to ruin your shoes. And I'm Clarice Sinclaire, brave and stalwart Knight of Life and Love." She liked to make a suitably grand impression when possible, "But you can just call me Clarice." The hunter led P!Harrison down to the next level, and glanced down at the real deal. He seemed okay for the moment, "Right then, just climb down the ladder, and we'll get you past those nasty traps."

Clarice sighed and climbed down after, "Tell me about it, princess. My heroes tend to be either taken, gay, or overpowered jerks." Reaching the bottom she paused, "Well, there is..." There was always Ben, who she should really, just maybe...naw. It's been so long, saying yes to him now would just be awkward. "...you, and you look so nice in that pink dress, so I can't complain, really."

She summoned Raeg and readied herself, "Okay, princess, let get you out of here." A set of ninja stars sped toward them, followed by the remaining bees and she swung the sword up to block, quickly ushering the princess along.

She beamed at the princess. They were the best. Okay sometimes they were horrible and trauma-inducing, but for the most part, Clarice just loved the princesses. "Well, everyone needs a hero now and again." With an extra bit of flourish, she kicked open the door to the shadowy staircase, "Stay close, these things are pretty grabby." Grasping the princess's hand, the two raced to the bottom, the hunter batting away shadowling as they went, careful not to hit her charge.
