Cross looked around the room, taking in the different doors and simple table. He didn't flinch or even become concerned with the door behind him disappearing. He had his share of things like this before, and he almost expected it right from the start. He tapped the ash from his cigarette, listening to Dominik read the note aloud to everyone.

As soon as he had finished, Cross immediately thought of a certain Noah who loved to play with her food before devouring it. Just as the thought crossed his mind, the Noah of Dreams made her presence known to them all, and he chuckled under his breath; she could be quite predictable sometimes. He watched her carefully, their eyes meeting for that brief moment. Both of them knew things about each other that undoubtedly, no one else in the room did, not even his apprentice.

He could tell from how the Noah surveyed him that she remembered him well, and didn't care to let him forget it. None of her cute, playful antics could fool him. She was probably one of the most dangerous of all the Noah, her ability flawless, unsurpassed by any other. She could do whatever she wanted in this world.

As she finished her self-introduction, Cross took one last puff from his cigarette before putting it out between his fingers. With a flick of his wrist, he sent the butt flying towards Road's forehead.

"Bravo!" he clapped his hands, giving her an ovation, "How long has it been, Noah? How is the Earl, anyway? The last time I saw him, he was quite upset with me," he mocked a pout.

"You'll give him my warmest regards when you see him, won't you?" A smirk spread across his lips.

Cross looked at the others and assessed their abilities. His apprentice and Lavi he knew could handle themselves easily without him. The anxious one and the kid were a different story, but he couldn't have them holding him back.

"I'm going to follow the Noah," he addressed the rest of the group, "Decchi, Lavi, look after those two. We need to split up."

It was then that the second woman appeared from the corner. Cross knew in an instant she was no Noah, and couldn't fathom what she was doing here. She was obviously a regular human, and didn't fit the description of the missing maid or her daughter. From the way she informally addressed Road, it was obvious they were close. But she was no Akuma, either...

As the door behind them disappeared, Michiyo fought back the urge to panic. Okay, so we're trapped in here. No big deal. Even if this is how all good horror stories begin... She focused instead on the Finder who had picked up the note and read it out loud. The message made her foolish thought about horror stories sound a little less unlikely. She took the note from Lavi, only glancing at it briefly - hadn't she just heard what it said? - before she gave it to the girl next to her - darkhaired with glasses, who looked as calm as she felt nervous. Sil, that was her name she remembered.

At the sound of a voice ringing out above them Michiyo looked up, startled, to see a young girl whizzing round with a... was that a talking umbrella? Around her, she felt the group tense at the sudden appearance. The Exorcist scrutinized the girl above her. Was she an Akuma? Somehow - judging from her limited experience of course - it felt different. The darkness of her skin, and strange markings on her forehead spurred some memory in the back of Michiyo's head. Surely, it can't be... Behind her, she heard the General applaud after the girl finished her suggestion of a game. Noah!? Akuma are bad enough for my first time back in the field, but now Noah?!

She glanced at Lavi and Sil, wondering how they would be divided, when she heard a soft whoosing sound behind her. She turned round quickly, but halted abruptly when she felt something click beneath her heavy boot. One of the tiles of the stone floor had sunken in under her weight. Michiyo barely had time to let out a "Hey!" before a small section of the floor disappeared from underneath her. Tumbling down screaming, the adrenaline now really pumping she felt Kusari unwind itself from around her waist and move swiftly along her arm, shooting upwards back torwards the hole, but before it could reach the small square of light disappeared, the trapdoor closing and Michiyo falling into darkness.

User Image Chaoe felt a sudden sickness as the door disappeared. What have I let myself get into this time..? She watched as everyone else was passing the note around but got distracted by looking around. The house didn't look all that scary now that she looked at things more closely, just a bit unloved by whomever was supposed to be looking after it.
She stopped her search when she heard voices and looked up, suddenly tensing. The marks were a dead give away, this was one of the Noah she had heard people talking about. Dread started pooling in her stomach, Here I thought this was going to run smoothly- wait did she just say something about a game? He eyes narrowed slightly, she did not like the sound of whatever this Road girl was talking about.
She glanced at the other woman who stepped out, she didn't look like a Noah but that didn't mean she couldn't be hiding it. She eyed her warrily.
Chaoe was about to open her mouth when she heard Michiyo and turned around, watching helplessly as the girl fell through the floor. She quickly went over to look inside to check if she could see her, but it looked like a bottomless pit. This early on and we're already being seperated, I hope she's okay... She looked around at everyone else, a sudden worry passing through her. This is going to be hell.

User ImageAt the sight of the spritely girl Noah, Sil openly frowned at her. With her childishness and adorable but dangerous attitude, she had an urge to stick her tongue out at the girl, but she had heard enough stories to warn her against such a flippant attitude. Cross had warned her about all the Noah, and she had personally come face to face with one of them; Lulubell, the Noah of Lust. That meeting alone told her how despicable the entire Noah Clan was, and remembering the moment where she looked back at Lulubell into her own eyes sent a cold shiver slithering down her spine.

“Oh great, a Noah,” she said with disdain thick on her voice, though her expression soon folded into a mischievous smile. “Tell Lulubell any time she wants to come back for round two, I’ll remind her why she ran away the first time.” Needless to say her time as General Cross’s apprentice had led her down paths into danger she never wanted to come face-to-face with. The story was honestly an exaggeration; her own suicidal luck had left her worse for wear and she knew that Lulubell could have easily destroyed her had she knew what to expect.

Insuring the Noah wouldn’t get a hold of it, Sil cleanly folded the note and tucked it into her front pocket and activated her Innocence. The fabric of her dark gloves melted away, the skin of her arm glowing a gradient green as the scales spread from fingertip to elbow, glinting dangerously silver in the evening light. The scales separated slowly, spikes protruding along the back sides of her arm like the spine of a razor backed dragon, falling into a fighting stance as she expected Akuma to burst through the wall any moment. An extra moment was spent staring at the human who accompanied Road, quirking an eyebrow at her. She didn’t appear to be a Noah, but as far as she could tell she was no Akuma either. Was the Earl enlisting regular humans to do his bidding along with his children now?

“You’re on the wrong team,” she stated in a haughty retort, her gaze sharp on the blonde. “Just thought I’d let you know.”

However, she was quicly distracted by the startled cry as Michiyo disappeared through a chasm on the floor, the hole swallowing her and disappearing as quickly as a starving mouth devoured food. “Oh shi—“ she started to say, though at the notice of little Chaoe she stopped her swearing mouth before she could finish the word. She checked the floor for seams, slamming her fist against it, but it didn’t give; Michiyo had disappeared.

Cross’s words, however, came across as strong as a command; she and Lavi needed to take the others and search for the Innocence. As it was, they couldn’t do anything to stop the Noah as their Innocence was useless against the form of a human, regardless if The Order truly saw them as anything but evil creatures. “Okay, we don’t have time for this. Everyone pick a door, and keep track of the way you came through! The stupid Noah just turned this into a race, so let’s show the brat who the winner is going to be,” the Italian woman called. “Look for Michiyo! She has to be somewhere!”

With that last call, she ran off towards the north door, shoving it open with a rough push; she motioned for any of the Exorcists who wished to follow her to do so.

The room which the North door lead to was just as barren as the foyer had been. It spanned at least a 100ft square, and had no windows, nothing on the walls, and only one door on the far side of the room, directly opposite the one the Exorcists came from. Once the three of them entered the room, the door from which they came again disappeared, cutting them off from Cross, the Noah and the human.

5 seconds passed, and the room turned to pitch black, not even Innocence able to penetrate the blinding darkness. 10 more seconds passed before the lights came back up. A mere half-second after that, before the Exorcists could even do a head count, two hatches released from the ceiling. Thick rope plummeted from the unknown, weighed down by something. As the rope became taught, it was reveled that at the end of the two ropes, hung the bodies of the Finders Nathan Daye and Corbin Bailey.

The scent of fresh blood could be picked up easily, and each corpse began to drip thick, red liquid onto the hardwood floor. The source of the blood was found to be none other than sinister, sharpened candles lodged in each Finder. The first Finder, Nathan, had nearly 15 candles stuck in his abdominal cavity; his entrails were dangling from his stomach.

Corbin, the second finder, had candles penetrating his pressure points. The expression on his face, twisted in a grimace of immense pain, made it obvious he did not die instantly like Nathan had. Both bodies were still warm to the touch, fresh from the kill.

Nothing could be heard behind nor ahead of them, except the drip, drip, drip of the Finders' blood. After a minute, a creaking began, and the easily detectable sound of gears and cogs turning cut the quiet like a sharp knife. The floors began to shake and vibrate, and suddenly, a four-foot wall of spikes sprung from the floor, a mere inch in front of the group. The wall descended over the course of a few seconds, only to spring back up again. The loop continued, and several more of the walls sprung up as well, spaced across the room, each on a different time loop of ascension and decline.

Before the Exorcists could make a note of the spiked walls, from the ceiling dropped sharp, serrated, spinning, blades. The blades began to swing back and forth on thick arms of iron, like pendulums of death; each full swing lasted only a second in length, making the speed of them quite high. Another minute later, and the wall behind which the exorcists stood started to shift....it was closing the room. It moved slowly, but at a rate that forced the Exorcists to make a hasty decision.

This room was a literal death trap.

* * *

The East room wasn't any less disturbing.

Cross, Road, and the human walked in on three bodies lying on the floor, the door yet again closing behind them, so there was no going back. Two of the bodies were at one side of the room, opposite the third. It appeared that the two bodies on the left side were definitely dead, but the one on the right was clearly alive, the chest of it rising and falling with its breathing.

A pool of blood had welled underneath the two dead bodies. Their faces were nearly indistinguishable, having been completely crushed by some unknown force. Skulls shattered, their eyeballs dangled from thin shreds of tendon-like cord. The brain matter of each of them had already become a thick, clotted mass of dark pink goop. Though they had been completely annihilated, they looked oddly peaceful for being dead. Their heads, or what was left of them, were turned towards each other. Their hands were also clasped, fingers laced in a familiar hold. They almost looked like twins, mirroring each other perfectly...

And they were...for there lay the bodies of Debitto and Jasdero, Noah of Bonds; death had struck them.

On the opposite side of the room, the third body stirred, the form of a young lady now obvious. The girl had blood splattered up and down her clothing, and on her hands; She had been completely unharmed.

Michiyo Saruwatari had been found.

Eyes widened, Road recognized the wild clothing still attached to the bodies of her siblings under the Earl. It was strange, though their bodies were dead, it couldn't have been up until they went into the room that they'd died, as that was the pint in time that tears started to fall from Road's eyes. The normally cunning look was replaced by a solemn one as her annoying umbrella flew over to the bodies, weeping and crying. "ROOOADDD SAAAMMAAA LERO! JASSDEVVVI LERO LERO!" Even if she'd seen death, even if she'd caused it, she'd never seen it like this. In fact, she'd never seen it on a family member for such a long time. It brought back memories from when the others died...

Suddenly the movement from Michiyo's chest caught her attention, and her widened eyes shot over to the girl. Ribbons materialized themselves from seemingly nothing and tightened themselves into spirals, and then even lit themselves into the familiar candles that came from Road. Pink and blue spikes danced around the dark haired girl until they shot out at Michiru. The only thing that saved her was the blindness that came from the Noah's tears in her eyes. Just grazing the girl's own cheeks and chest, Road stomped her foot and wiped at her face, frustrated with her lack of grace at the moment. When she couldn't call back the candles, and she couldn't see very well, even her nose getting stuffy from the double loss of family members, Road dashed forward with speed that caused her to slide on the ground. It wasn't in the direction that Michiru was, however it was in the way that Lero floated and wept. Her hands choked at the pink golem's ruffled throat, and it wasn't until she had a firm grasp that she ran towards the girl. She wasn't going to let exorcists get a handle over her and surprise her. If there was indeed a game being played, and her siblings were indeed lying dead across the room from where she was; she needed to tear them all apart.

With the rod pressed against Michiyo's throat, threatening to crush it, Road's eyes lit with an ominous spark she didn't have when she was just 'playing around.' "What did you do exorcist?Answer me...NOW! Killing you would be too fun but the Earl would wanna know what happened first...so tell ME.. my family means a lot to me" her usually calm voice screamed and with her voice raised, one could hear the squeak of anger that came with loss of control. Was she surprised to find that some of her own were dead? Was it because flashes of what had happened before with past Noah? It was as if she could see everyone else dead along side Jasdero and Devi....

Liv covered her mouth with her hand, a silent gasp escaping her as she recognized the twins. In an instant her eyes welled up and tears spilled over her cheeks. Her body shook with emotion, and she dropped to her knees, shaking her head in disbelief. How could they die? How could they really die? She turned her face away, her stomach starting to heave from the sight of their faceless, splattered heads. She was in shock, and it was obvious Road felt no different than she did about the sight of her family's mangled bodies.

"R...Road..," Liv reached out to her, but it wasn't any use, Road had already lost her temper.

Liv watched as the Noah went from playful to deadly in a span of mere seconds. She wished in that moment, more than anything, that Tyki had come along with them. He could have calmed Road down, better than anyone. Liv knew it was no use to try and stop Road when she was like this, and continued to sob to herself over the twins, helpless. Taking a moment to turn her head around, she looked up at the General.

"Look what you've done....look what you've done!" she yelled at him, bitterness and resentment poured over her words.

Liv is available to continue the game around 1:00 PM Eastern Time. I have work tomorrow, so I'm not sure when I'll be on, so Liv will be narrating for both groups until I get home tomorrow. (This will absolutely be no later than 2:00 PM PST). If I'm too late, she's been instructed to incapacitate Sil or whatever. :'D *Beats up own character.*

Liv went ahead and finished splitting everyone up into rooms, so the two seperate groups can start posting at the same time, and ignoring the other groups post order for now.

Group one:

Road
Liv
Michiyo (we love you, our unlucky pawn. <3)
Cross

Group two:

Remembering Cross’ words earlier about splitting up, Lavi glanced towards the West door no one had entered yet. Cross was going to follow Road and the mysterious human woman, who were moving towards the East door. With Michiyo having suddenly disappeared through a trap door in the floor, only he, Sil and Chaoe were left. Although he knew Sil could take care of herself and despite her youth, Chaoe was a lot tougher than she looked, something about this mansion and the appearance of Noah didn’t feel right. Lavi didn’t think it’d be wise to let someone go off by themselves in this still unknown situation. Cross would be fine by himself, as a General. Sil was already through the North door and Lavi didn’t know if the door, like the large double doors behind him, was going to disappear as well, so he made a quick decision. Grabbing Chaoe’s little hand in his, he made for the North door like Sil had, pulling the young Exorcist along with him.

Once through the door, the first thing he noticed was the lack of items inside the large room, much like the foyer they had just left behind. As he had guessed, once the three Exorcists and Finder (he noticed Domonik had followed them as well) had passed through it, the door melted into nothingness behind them. Then, all of a sudden, darkness. He could still feel Chaoe’s hand in his, and he held onto it tight, afraid she’d be pulled away from them, like Michiyo had. The darkness didn’t last long, light returning to the room after just a few seconds. Lavi started to look around to see if anything had changed during the dark, but his attention was immediately pulled to a strange sound coming from the ceiling. Two hatches opened up and two large bundles tumbled out. As the ropes were uncoiling, it was difficult to discern what was hanging from them, but when they came to a halt and were swaying slightly back and forth, the sight shocked him. It was two dead bodies, horribly injured. The gruesome wounds weren’t what shocked Lavi though, he had seen worse, but the fact that it was the two missing Finders. Their blood still dripping plentiful onto the floor suggested they had been murdered more recently than they had been reported missing. The sharpened, colorful candles that were the cause of their wounds could only have belonged to one person… Road.

“So it was Road’s doing, after all…” he growled, noticing he’d still been clutching Chaoe’s hand firmly, letting it go before he cut off all blood circulation. Then the room began to rumble. “Oh… this can’t be good…” he muttered. And indeed it wasn’t. In rapid succession, large walls covered in deadly looking spikes sprouted from the floor, joined quickly by large blades swinging from the walls, creating a deadly obstacle course, keeping them from the only exit: the door on the other side of the room. As a swinging blade suddenly appeared in front of them, he stretched out his arms and pushed the three others backwards along with him, keeping them from getting decapitated. “Eh… this looks like fun…” he laughed nervously, gulping audibly.

Cross had been wholly unexpecting the scene he walked in upon. Dead bodies already, and they had only just split from the other Exorcists. He stared at the mangled bodies he also knew to be the Noah boys. He noticed the smashed skulls, and quickly came to a conclusion. It became obvious that Road was playing no game here, and the culprit had to be an outsider. For a brief moment, Cross felt for the Noah girl, sure that this shock was for her, something she could never have dreamed of in her world.

And then Road's temper flared. He should have expected it, but his desire to determine what exactly had happened in this room had distracted him. His reverie was broken when Road started to scream, her piercing anger filling the entire room. Cross stared as Road attacked the body on the right side of the room. As the form of the young lady stirred, he realized who it was. He didn't yet know how she had gotten into the room so quickly, but it seemed Road didn't care to think of that. It was obvious Road was under the impression that it was Michiyo who had caused the death of the twins. Cross knew already that there wasn't the slight chance the green Exorcist could have done this to a Noah.

Cross called forth, reciting words of a spell,"On...Abata...Ura...Masarakato...On Gataru! Grave of Maria...limit release! Magdala Curtain!"

Grave of Maria rose from the floor behind him, a tall, black casket wrapped in chains. As the chains unraveled themselves like a coiled snake, from the casket emerged the corpse of a woman, who in her waking life had been an Exorcist herself. Opening her lips, she began to sing, and a glowing, white seal appeared on the floor beneath Michiyo and Road. As an invisible shield washed over Michiyo, she disappeared before Road, hidden by Maria's defensive power; it was an illusion. Cross had used it many times before to evade anyone and everyone. Michiyo was safe from Road for now, as Cross called himself to her attention instead.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Noah," his tone was serious and he made it even more clear for her, "Tyki Mikk....how is he doing, anyway?"

Of course, he was reminding her of the last time he had come into contact with a member of her family. Tyki Mikk had awoken fully, completely taken over by the memory of Noah. Cross had fought him, using his second anti-akuma weapon, Judgement. And if your precious Earl hadn't interfered, I daresay Tyki Mikk would be dead now...

Cross barely spared a moment to address Liv, "You should probably just stay out of this. Pitiful..."

User Image Chaoe stared at the floor, unsettled by the idea of splitting up. She kept a straight face though, scared she would worry a teammate or make them think less of her. She looked up when she noticed Sil walk through the north door and blinked when she felt Lavi grip her hand and lead her through it. She pouted slightly at that, but still, she felt a bit more secure knowing that if the floor was to open up there would be less of a chance of her falling through it like Michiyo.

The other side of the door, to her slight displeasure, was as baren as the foyer they had come from. She gulped and looked over her shoulder at the disappearing door. Her head immediatly snapped up when she heard the hatches open and what fell through made her turn away in utter fear and disgust. The two finders that had disappeared before, their dead bodies in terrible shape. She trembled slightly, she couldn't stand to look at it. She clung to the older redheads hand, the sound of blood dripping was making her feel sick. She didn't even bother to look any longer to see what was sticking into them, sure that the others would see enough to know what had happened.

She looked up at Lavi, Road..? The Noah girl that we saw not too long ago? Is this what she ment when she said 'game'..? She held back a small growl. She felt Lavi's hand retreat from hers and flinched when she heard the room start to rumble. An earthqua-. She clutched her weapon tightly and paled when she saw the objects appear from the walls and ground and gave a small yelp when when she was pushed off her feet. She gave a deep sigh and brushed some of her bangs from her forehead. "Yeah Lavi..very fun.." Oh how she wished she stayed back.

The first thing Michiyo noticed as she regained conciousness was the pain lashing through her brain. She groaned softly, keeping her eyes shut. The last thing she remembered was falling down the trapdoor, but she couldn't recall ever hitting bottom. Moving gently, she realised she was in sitting position propped against something solid, which only further confused her.

Unfortunately, she didn't have the luxury of getting aquainted with her new location gently, for the moment she started to slowly blink - the Exorcist had a feeling that light would do her headache no good - there was a loud anguished cry. Michiyo's eyes flew open just in time to see several pointy objects flying through the air towards her. There was the soft tinkling of chains as Kusari rushed to make a barrier in front of her. Luckily many of the projectiles were badly aimed, and the ones that did manage to move through the gaps in Kusari's defence only managed to graze a cheek.

Before she could try and get up to defend herself properly, a rod-like thing was jammed across her throat, and Michiyo found herself face to face with the furious Noah from before, screaming at her. She had been confused before, now she was terrified, "I..." she managed to croak, her throat constricted by the umbrella, "I don't ... know..." Over her shoulder, Kusari hovered protectively in the air, its pointed tip poised like a scorpion's sting waiting to strike, but Michiyo was too scared to even think about attacking.

A soft crying pulled her gaze away from the irate Noah in front of her and Michiyo's eyes widened in horror as she realised what was laying there. The sight of the corpses, so horribly mutilated, made her stomach turn and for a moment she thought she would faint. Strangely enough, her terror seemed to make her thoughts crystal clear. Corpses... Two of them... Dark skin... The girl said something about family? She thinks... I did this? The thought was preposterous. It showed how little the Noah knew about her. Besides the gruesome disfigurement that she would never be able to do, the idea that Michiyo would be able to take out not one but two Noah was ridiculous. What wasn't ridiculous however was the murderous look in the young Noah's eye.

She hadn't even realised the General had joined them in the room too, when a bright light appeared beneath her, washing all around her. Michiyo glanced around, looking for something to have changed, but all it seemed to have done is make Road finally look away. "I didn't do it!" the Exorcist shouted, now finally free from the contricting umbrella, "How could I have?! Why would I? I just fell through the floor five minutes ago!" It sounded even to her ears like she was trying to convince herself. Panic crept into her voice as she suddenly felt the stickyness of her uniform under hands. Bright red. Her hands were bright red. Blood...? There was no response from the other three inhabitants in the room. It was like they didn't hear her. Michiyo, however, could hear everything that was being said in the room perfectly.

Sil halted to a stop once the wall of inky darkness pressed against her senses, leaving her tense and on guard for the first sound or hint of movement that may prelude an ambush. She kept her senses sharp, noting the sound of Lavi’s familiar footsteps and the tinier stride of Chaoe with who she assumed was Dominik following behind his lead. Her eyes barely had time to adjust as the room flooded with light, and though she was blinded for a moment her vision automatically snapped up towards the sound of the roof trap doors.

The smell of death and fresh blood hit her like a sack of bricks, the familiar feel of bile rising from her stomach in utter revulsion to the horrific sight. The young woman had seen many things, but none quite as gruesome as the sight of two of their comrades dangling from the roof, void of their entrails. If it weren’t for the familiar tan coats in tattered shreds hanging from the limp corpses, they would hardly be recognizable. Death was a familiar part of all of their lives as Exorcists; after all, for an Akuma to be made two people must die and one in such a way that agony consumes them to the point of believing the lies of the Millennium Earl. However, no matter how many times she had seen it, for some reason it never seemed to get easier to choke down and swallow, and the noise she heard come out of Dominik’s throat at the sight of his comrades made her heart break.

It was soon obvious that he had not been in the order long, and as he leaned over and emptied the contents of his stomach onto the floor she didn’t blame him one bit. After all, she wished she could find even the smallest of release to get that disgusting feeling out of her own stomach. “Road?” Sil choked, her voice breaking with a mixture of abhorrence and fury as she realized Lavi knew more about the child Noah, far more than she could boast to know. The next words from her lips she wished she had managed to keep to herself, but somehow they made it past to the ears of the others: “How… could someone be this cruel?”

However, if anyone were to answer the loaded question, new distractions quickly drew attention away as the blades swung down from the roof towards them. Lavi reacted the fastest, pushing the others and herself back away from the deadly surprise of a spike wall nearly stabbing through her. She swore loudly Irregardless of the child and grabbed the Finder by the collar of his shirt to drag him backwards until his back hit the shifting wall with a defeated thud. He was shaking, not able to formulate words, but Sil’s eyes focused as she started to assess their situation as quickly and effectively as possible. They didn’t have much time.

“This is like a carnival fun house gone wrong. The blades are moving too fast to run through… I’d say we have about 20 seconds to get out of here before we’re pushed into the blades or the floor spikes,” her voice had taken a decidedly even tone, as if she was reading off a fact list. “Lavi, I think our only hope is for you to jam the blades with your hammer… and we'll have to time the spiked walls closely... to get all four of us across." She watched the spikes shoot up again, the tips of them gleaming in the dull light, puddles of blood from the other Finders creating hazardous slick spots in places where they might step.

She paused, sending a puzzling glance down at the child Exorcist, concern overtaking. She wondered if she had her timing and balance down enough to ensure she would make it across, and the same with Dominik. As a Finder he did not have the physical capabilities and the speed of trained Innocence weilders. “Chaoe, how’s a piggyback ride sound? Unless you think..." you can make it on your own. She didn't say it out loud, barely wanting to give the child the option. At least if Chaoe were up higher, there's a chance she could be quickly shifted to avoid her being hit if one of the older Exorcists miss-stepped...

Lavi listened to Sil as she assessed the situation while watching the walls and spikes carefully, memorizing their movements and time loops, creating a possible escape route in his mind. It was going to be difficult, but it wasn't impossible. He nodded as Sil suggested he use his hammer to jam the deadly blades in front of them, removing the weapon from its holster.

"Ozuchi Kozuchi, man, man, MAN." With every word, the hammer in his hands glowed a dull green and grew in size until it was twice as big as himself. Gripping it tight in two hands, he faced the blades.

"What about him, though?" he said as Sil offered Chaoe a piggyback ride, nodding towards the Finder trembling against the wall that was slowly moving towards them. "He could hold onto me as we go, but he might get in the way when I jam the blades. But guess we have no choice, he won't make it on his own and we don't have much time." He motioned for the Finder to climb onto his back and cling to his neck, glancing back at the other two. "Ready?"

Readying his hammer, he rushed forwards the moment the swinging blade in front of him moved back upwards, thrushing the hammer towards the now once again descending blade. He felt the metal push down against his hammer forcefully. "Go!" he yelled towards the others, pushing back against the blade trying to break through his hammer.
