It didn't seem like Mitsu's pleading was going to help. Hel was dead set on this fight. Seeing the reaper's spear materialize made Mitsu's tail tuck between her legs. Blocking a spear was a different matter. Mitsu only knew about blocking kicks and punches. Her panic and hesitation ended up costing her and the spear neatly cut through the sleeve of her shirt leaving a cut across her arm.
Somehow the actual bleeding injury made something inside Mitsu's mind snap. That anger that had been swimming in the background clawing its way to the front of her mind. Before Mitsu knew what she was doing she lunged at Hel, her claws swiping at the ghoul with full force and landing a solid blow. It didn't seem like Mitsu was quite there though. The pleading had stopped, there was no voice to be heard, only blank eyes.

Hel had kind of been expecting Mitsu to keep on pleading for this to stop, so when she had struck out at the Lycan…only to be met with the lunging form of Mitsu instead…
Well…
This was more like it.
The reaper let out a grunt as the strike Mitsu landed on her not only sent her flying back a few places, but left a couple of nice scratches through both her apron and her tunic as well. The ghoul could see the bits of blood starting to swell at the surface where she managed to knick her skin, and just grinned. Much more like it. The valkyrie was rather surprised to see such a blow from the usually timid Lycan…but this…she’d take this, definitely.
As she lunged back at the Lycan, swinging her spear, she found she missed though, which could have very well been from the shock she had just received from such a powerful strike.
HP: 24 – 6 = 18/30

Mitsu's expression hadn't changed during her attack. In fact, she looked rather hallow. It was only when she saw the damage she had done that a flicker of emotion flitted across her face. The urge to attack was still there but the doubt she was starting to feel for her actions made her hesitate and thus miss as she tried to swipe at Hel again.

An emotion may have flickered across Mitsu’s face, but Hel wasn’t going to worry about it right now.
They had started a battle, and it would not end until one of them was the victor. So thus…until then, all they could do was battle. Hel leapt out of the way of Mitsu’s swipe, taking to the air as her wings carried her, and tried striking back at the Lycan once more.

Mitsu seemed to waver as she began to come back to her senses. Hel taking to the air startled her a little and she moved back and out of the way of the spear attack. She tried to strike again but the Valkyrie was well out of reach.

Oh no, we couldn’t have any wavering!
“This battle isn’t over, Mitsu!” Hel sneered she happened to flutter out of the lycan’s reach.
“You need to give it your all! Don’t start pulling back now, you started it, and need to finish it.” Well, technically Hel started it…but Mitsu was the first one to lay hands on her…so she started it in that aspect! Hel pulled her spear back, and then lunged down at the lycan, thrusting it at her.

Hel's attack seemed to do the trick, whatever sense Mitsu had been regaining had been lost and the lycan actually let out a snarl as the reaper drove her spear into her shoulder.
Instead of pulling back the werewolf grabbed hold of the weapon firmly, her teeth bared like she was prepared to bite. Giving the weapon a firm jerk forward Mitsu swiped at Hel again with her claws as she came into reach. She was out for blood now.

Oh my! Mitsu was getting vicious, and as twisted as it was, Hel was enjoying it.
The valkyrie was jerked as the Lycan grabbed a hold of her weapon, and the next thing she felt was a nice set of cuts against her side. Hel gritted her teeth before letting out a chuckle. Nice. The reaper dismissed her weapon so that it disappeared out of the ghoul’s hold and then re-summoned it, wasting no time in taking another jab at her.
HP: 18 – 3 = 15/30

Mitsu had tried for another attack as soon as the Valkyrie had de-summoned her weapon but barely managed to touch her before the ghoul brought her weapon back into existence and lashed out.
The spear head ended up leaving a nice cut along her face as she tried to dodge out of the way, her eyes focusing in on the blood beading up along the fresh wound. It didn't seem to phase her though, in fact, was that a hint of a smile on Mitsu's face? Hard to say as she began to move again waiting for her next opportunity.

It was barely a hit, and one she managed to dodge mostly anyways.
Was Mitsu smiling? Heh. Hel fluttered above the lycan, twirling her spear once more before she dived down upon her.

As Hel swooped in closer Mitsu didn't even bother to dodge. She moved enough to avoid the spear and came back around, claws ready for the flying reaper. She tried to dig in, find some sort of purchase at keep Hel close, a growl bellowing up from her throat.

Oh, that stung.
Hel’s brows furrowed deeply as Mitsu’s claws dug into her. For a moment Hel was caught, stunned, and about to be pulled down, until she regained her senses. The reaper out a snarl as she raised her spear high above her head, and whacked the Lycan as hard as she could with the non-bladed end.

Mitsu had managed to take hold as was starting to pull the Valkyrie toward her. It looked like she was poised to bite, her lips drawing back as a snarl escaped her throat. She was swiftly met with the blunt end of Hel's spear to the face, forcing her to let the Valkyrie go as she stumbled back.
As she regained her balance a hand lightly touched her lips feeling something wet. When she drew her fingers back she found them painted in red. Mitsu was leery to approach again, hesitant, but she still moved forward to strike while the Valkyrie was still somewhat in range.
HP: 17 - 5 = 12

It was probably a good thing she had struck Mitsu when she did. Hel did not want to be on the receiving end of those canines. Getting bitten by Red was already worse enough…
The reaper flapped her wings, staying a bit higher above the lycan now, dodging one of her strikes for the most as she struck out at her with her spear once more…only to miss.

Mitsu moved to the side of Hel's spear before she came at the reaper once again. Her power was mostly in her legs but with the reaper off the ground it was hard to get a kick in being so short. So once again Mitsu had to settle for swiping at Hel with her claws making small contact.
