Xalcorsh stopped very quickly when he heard the strange sound, both swords seeming to appear in his hands as he spun around to find the source of the noise. The creature that appeared was very strange, and he wasn't sure what it was. He watched it as it circled around him, not letting his back be turned to it, and maintaining perfect balance to either run or fight. His eyes were hard, and he kept the blades low, and slightly crossed so that he could defend, or attack. He noticed however that the creature was acting playful, almost childish, and he frowned, but he didn't let his guard down as he waited to find out if he would be fighting, running, or something else.

The ground beneath the castle, with no warning, began to rumble and shake. Strangely, it did not feel like an earthquake, or anything natural for that matter. The shaking came in pulses, much like a heart beat. Slowly, the ground before the great ornate doors, began to rise. The stones that paved the castle floor, cracked, a dim glowing light escaping the fresh gaps in the ground.

The glow slowly changed from a faint yellow, to an angry red, heat soon following the change of colors. A burst one wind, shot up from the cracks, hissing as heat filled the great hall. The hissing subsided as the steamy wind dulled. When things seemed as though they calmed, molten rock began to bubble from the floor, not much at first, cirtainly nothing that would harm the sons of Xan'Thran. But as the seconds ticked by, more began to rise.

It began to pool around the mound that had risen. Something moved under the risen floor, something large. A final crack split down the mound as a large, almost human shaped creature erupted from the ground. It pulled it's self free from the ground rather quickly, standing before the brothers, at nearly ten feet. It's body was covered in magma, hiding any flesh. Piercing yellow eyes glared down at Titus threw the magma, almost daring him to make some sort of move.

Titus froze, watching what was happening curiously, and as the creature appeared he smiled up at it in recognition. She had certainly changed in the centuries since she had disappeared without any notice, the only thing they had known, was that she was safe. He laughed out loud and Xilp relaxed his grip on the two swords on his back as he saw his bother throw open his arms as if to hug what came from the ground. "Welcome home sister!" Titus shouted happily, "it's been a long time!"

The creature tilted it's head almost curiously at Titus' reaction, almost as if it were disappointed. With a shudder, the molten rock fell from it's body, hardening into black stone when it hit the ground. Ipa stood tall over her brothers, her body more masculine than feminine. Her chest was flat and broad, body lacking any sort of curve. Heavy armor covered her daconic form, the metal still having a faint glow from the heat.

For a moment, she said nothing, she didn't even smile. "Strange that you would recognise me. Not only has my form changed, but it's been.." she paused for another moment. "Time passes differnetly in my home, we have no concept of it. However, I would presume it's been at least a millenia." She rolled her shoulders, body glowing for a moment.

In a small burst of flames, her large draconic form, was reduced to a human size and shape. She looked like hte mirror image of her mother, save her hair being significantly shorter, and body more muscular. "It is good to see you as well brother." She threw open one arm, catching her brother in a hug.

"Appearance may change Ipa, but smell doesn't." Titus said with a laugh and hugged her back, ignoring the heat that still emanated from her armor. "You look just like mother. . .interesting that you would be the one to most resemble her. Xilp, you don't recognize her, but this is your sister, I[a." Titus said, turning to Xilp and motioning for him to come closer.

"Ipa? The one that vanished a millenia ago without saying a word and we haven't heard anything since?" Xilp said rather doubtfully, looking at his sister that he didn't remember, being to young to have remembered when she had left. While Ipa resembled their mother, Xilp resembled their father almost perfectly.

Ipa looked over at Xilp, just as unsure as he looked at her. Her gaze hardened as she looked him over, she seemed...unimpressed. "This whelp is our brother?" She asked, in a rather...disgusted tone. He looked like their father, but she could tell the sublet differences. Xilp lacked the stern gaze she remembered her father having, among a few other small things here and there.

"I may look like what mother once looked like, but I promise you, I look nothing like her now." It had yet to dawn on her that her bother's wouldn't know about their mother, and what had become of her. "As good as it is to see you, I was sent here for a very specific reason. Mother is concerned about the state of this world. Tell me brother, are her concerns founded, or have I come all this way for nothing?"

Titus's expression changed very quickly and became almost dark. "Mother's supposed to be dead Ipa, what do you mean she's concerned about the condition of this world?" He crossed his arms and sternly faced his younger sister, some of the family stubbornness now showing in his stance.

Xilp simply stood there and looked confused, first at his sister, then his brother, then back, clearly at a loss and not understanding. "Ipa. . .mother's grave is just outside. . .where's it's always been. . .how can she be concerned about anything?"

Ipa sighed, shaking her head. Her brother's time on the mortal plane, among humans had closed their minds, or so it seemed. "Don't be foolish. You think our father was the only powerful being that were were related to? Brothers, we are the decendants of the Dragon God. Death is not something that would stop our mother."

She turned from her brothers, waving and arm over the floor she'd destroyed. The cooled rocks tumbled over one another, evening out the hole. The still glowing rocks began to spark, small flames igniting around the opening. Ipa walked around, to stand behind the hole, bringing her hands up to her face, locking her fingers together, leaving her thumbs pressed together, facing up. She closed her eyes, furrowing her brows. The fires grew, spinning around the circle, until the entire hole was lit on fire once again.

Rather then some strange creature emerging like before, this time an image began to form, it was a little fuzzy at first, but eventually the dark figure began to clear. A deep, rumbling growl eminated from the portal, shaking the ground as if the creature were actually there. It was massive, or atleast what could be seen of it. "Who disturbes me?" The voice was deep, lacking any form of femininity. The was no scent coming from the firey vision, no hint of who the brother's might be talking to.

Titus watched, frowning and thinking of what his sister had just said. When the image appeared his frown deepened, it didn't sound like mother, but there was something about the presence. . .something about what he could see that reminded him of her. "Titus, prince regent to the throne of Xal'navir, I presume however, I am speaking to the queen of Xal'navir, and my mother." He said the last part softly, staring at the image.

Behind him Xilp said nothing, merely watching curiously, not even sure what he would say if he were to speak. He was being his usual self, quiet, calculating, and calm.

The massive creature shifted in it's domain, shaking it's cavern, jaring several stones loose as it moved it's head closer to the portal. Glowing yellow eyes glared at the mortals that disturbed it's realm. "Watch your tone boy, you speak to no queen, you speak to Asiirus of the Stone Flame." The creature drew back it's head, spreading it's massive wings.

Asiirus' tone seemed harsh, agitated, very much like Asaduan, but for all the wrong reasons. "I will over look this disrespectful assumption, as my vassal appers to have failed her duties."

Ipa's brow twitched, but she said nothing at the comment.

The massive dragon godess moved again. "Prince Titus, it has come to my attention that a darkness is decending upon your land. I have sent forth my priestess to aid you in the upcoming battles. I can offer nothing more, as your world is no longer my own, or of my concern."

Titus didn't answer for a moment, simply watching his mother, then he turned so she could see Xilp. "You never got to see Xilp as more than a baby mother, but I think you might like to see him. Whether you are queen, or goddess, the highest honor I can give you is that of mother." He studied her for a moment longer and sighed, shaking his head. "To be honest, it's probably best you aren't here, it's hard enough trying to figure out what is going on without you tearing the planet apart looking for father."

Xilp studied his mother, neither speaking, nor moving. Despite everything that was going on, he clearly hadn't made up his mind on what to think of his mother, especially this first impression she was giving. However, the resemblance between Xilp and Xan'Thran was very uncanny, except for his fathers strong presence, Xilp looked exactly like his father.

Asiirus watched both her sons for a moment, then a large grin spread across her maw, hardened magma cracking and falling from her face. She let out a rumbling roar at Titus' comment of her. "Very well said my son." She said, lifting one massive paw, slamming it back down to the rocky ground. A burst of flames surounded her body, disbursing to reveal her human form in her draconic's place.

She was clad in rather....revealing garb. While ornate, it only barely covered her. gold bands wrapped around her ankles, wrists, and upper arms. Her outfit very much resembled a bikini, if they were made of rare gems and metals. A gold band wraps round her neck, connecting thin veil like cloth to her wrists, and from her wrists to her ankles.

Her firey red hair was drawn back into a pony tail, like it had always been before. Even in a human form, her aura would feel imposing, and frighteningly powerful. "Ah yes, Xilp, your were but a hatchling when last I saw you, no more than a few weeks old. You hadn't even figured out how to change into a human form, though I see you have mastered it."

She crossed her arms. "Forgive me for not giving you a hug. Even if I wanted to, I am contained withen this realm. If I were to leave, the forces containing my power would erupt, and destroy countless lives that I have sworn to protect. Just as your father chose to bind himself and his power to his swords to protect your world, I have bound myself to the very elements of fire and stone. My presnace here is what keeps the elements from running rampant."

When she heard Titus mention his father, her eyes flashed a bright yellow, flames igniting from their very core. "Do not say such falsehoods Titus. I am more 'civil' in my human form, but I will not tolerate lies. Your father died but mear days after I shed my mortal form, do not disrespect his sacrifice by saying something so foolish."

Titus went to speak, but this time it was Xilp who spoke. "Titus is not disrespecting Father's memory mother, he's stating a fact. Father has returned, we just don't know where he is. . .what he looks like, or anything else at the moment. Do you remember Sanroth? the old historian? Well, he says he's seen Father, but Father doesn't know who he is, where he's from, or how he got here. . .We don't know the details, only that Father is apparently alive, somewhere." He turned, looking at the massive, ornate doors behind him. "The swords have been reacting to something too. . ." He said softly

Titus nodded and looked at his mother again. "Xilp is right Mother, Jr. is out looking for Father at the moment. . .has been for a few years, leaving me here to run things. It's not too bad, but we are going to need Jr. here soon, we cant' have him running around when the seals finally fall completely, I've already sensed one powerful being that has broken through, but I don't know where." He scratched his head and sighed, shaking it. "We thank you for sending Sis to help, if she's gotten as powerful as it looks, we'll need her experience and power until we either find Father, or he reveals himself."

Asaduan's eyes returned to normal, as she calmly listened to what her son's had to say. She seemed....un-naturaly calm. That was until she snarled, the ground around her rumbling again. In the same burst of flames as before, she returned to her draconic form, roaring, enraged by the information given to her. It couldn't have come as a surprise to her boys, she was the imbodiment of the two most violent elements.

After a time of thrashing, and reducing the innards of her temple to rubble, she finally calmed. "To think that the great king and all of his power, would be reduced to an amnisia stricken wanderer! In such a dier time!" She raored, slaming her great tail to the ground. "Very well, it seems the task of protecting your world lies in your hands my sons. You were never granted boons like your sister. But the time has come, that I shall bestow upon you, the elements of fire and earth."

Flames spun from the portal, wrapping around Titus' arms, as molten stone wraped around Xilp's. They did not burn, as the power seemed to fade into them. "Fire and stone are yours to command my children. These are the only gifts I can give you."

Titus nodded his agreement and bowed again. "I hope we will get to see you again Mother, when we find Father, we will send your regards to him and tell him what has happened to you." Titus said calmly and nodded to his sister to let her know that when she was ready she could end the spell.
