The page came to a stop and tilted her head at him. "You're the enemy. Aren't I suppose to attack you? I mean your kind tried to destroy the Surrounding. And killed me in doing so. Can you now see why I'd try to attack you?" she said, lilac eyes calm pools of color. Bifrost really had no idea what the hell she was doing, or what this guy was doing.
And she was starting to get annoyed of not knowing what was going on. Or what was supposed to happen. It was like she was out of the loop or some thing of the sort. She really needed to figure out if she was in the right loop or not.

Remarque's eyes narrowed and his lips pressed into a firm line. "A lot of people died on the Surrounding. Why aren't you blaming the senshi for not saving you? Because, the way I see it, you're forgetting who is really at fault. We just wanted to destroy the Surrounding--to get rid of the senshi. To stop them from screwing up things for anyone else. And yet, you're not attacking them, are you? Just throwing the blame over here to us. Even though they're every bit as guilty--if not more--for the lives lost up there? The Surrounding called you there, not us. The Surrounding sacrificed you to save itself--you were there because of it and you died because it let you."
He crossed his arms over his chest and continued to give the page an unimpressed look. "You realize that, don't you? Or have the senshi brainwashed you so much that you can't even think for yourself?"

He had a point but... what about her court? Her princess? The rest of her knights? "Technically it was your side's dragon that killed me, not the Surrounding or the senshi who guard it. And I did not let it kill me! I was trying to save a friend from flying rainbow road debris! From your stupid dragon!"
She pulled off one of her rings and bounced it in her hand for a moment. She glared at him and then snapped her hand back. She threw the interlocked ring, aiming for his forehead.
Or maybe his crotch.

Oh, so now she wanted to talk about technicalities? And throw—wait, what was that?
Remarque didn’t move aside in time to avoid whatever she had thrown at him, but whatever blow he had been expecting never came. The ring hit him with a little sting, but clattered to the ground. His eyes drifted to where it lay on the ground and then back to Bifrost’s face. “…Really? That’s—what is this?”
He knelt, picking up the ring, gave it a look over, and then raised a brow at the page. The antique dealer in him wanted to give it a closer look, but the fighter in him wanted to chuck it right back at her.
“—They give you jewelry to throw at people? Cute. No wonder you died the first time. It’s like that whole thing is mocking you. First it lets you die, then it gives you a ring to protect yourself? I feel for you guys. The whole world is just trying to screw you over. If I give you your ring back, will you just get out of here? I feel bad enough that you’ve been sent out here with nothing to defend yourself, I don’t really think it’s necessary I send you home with any more bruises. Whether or not you believe me is your own business, but at the end of the day, at least I’m not going home a fool. Here,” he said, tossing her ring back to her.
What did he have to fear from a little piece of jewelry anyway? He’d much rather her throw that piece of junk than try to kick him.

She caught the ring. "Well at least you think so. Mothra seems to just want my blood regardless of the state I'm in. You could do with putting a leash on her." She slipped the ring back on her finger. Well, at least he was letting her go. That was more than Bifrost could say for what Lesath had done, or most of his side.
"You, I like. The rest of your chaos driven side, not so much. I thank you for letting me go," said the Page as she pulled her hood back up over her head. Her shoulders fluffed, the leather shoulder pads flopping a little, and then she turned away from him and walked away.
And only started jogging after she'd turned the corner and was out of his sight line. Just because she liked him, didn't mean she was stupid enough to not pick up the past. Especially at the disadvantage she was.

Remarque watched as the girl left. Things could have gone a lot worse, but she had been smart about everything. She wasn’t like the other page of Chronos that he’d encountered—Celsus. Blindly driven and foolish in his actions. Remarque doubted much would come of either encounter, but leaving on good terms with this knight was a step in the right direction.
If there was a reason knights existed, he had yet to discover it, but this one left him wondering if all were completely useless. Perhaps it was just that she had listened when he told her to get lost, or that she had left on the note that she liked him, but Remarque found any annoyance he’d had with the girl dispelling.
She hadn’t been quite as troublesome as he had anticipated—and even if he might have a few extra bruises in the morning, if he could change her mind about Chaos, it would be worth it.
