"Oh, I really like this. I have never heard music like this before." Chuppi was so used to singing accapella that she couldn't help but nearly jump in place at the sounds that came from the guitar, her eyes wide and bright with excitement over each note. there was no real way for her to add her vocals in without ruining any of it so she merely stood there in silence until the last of the notes faded away on the wind. Any passerby would certainly be curious as to the musics that were being played here, and that was okay with her.
"That was amazing! you think to be singing is something so cool, but what you've done is far more! A voice is natural, but you have talent there. I would say I wish I could play a musical instrument, but I have claws and not fingers. i would destroy all I touched." She was silent for a moment before she looked up at the sky, her eyes narrowing. "Actually, I have one more song I would like to sing for you. Would you mind? Then would you play for me again?"

"A voice is an instrument too," Roch told her. "Just like my guitar's a part of me--" he held out his hand, letting the guitar dissipate, the FEAR gathering around his body again, "your voice is a part of you. But I did have to take some lessons."
When she offered to sing, though, he sat up straighter. "Yeah! That's a definite deal!" he said eagerly.

"This song, it's one sung in our family. It's not a lullaby nor did it come specifically from my pack, but I have always liked the words and the melody of it."
Of course the song was horrible and sad, she didn't feel the need to tell Roch all of that, and she closed her eyes and opened her mouth to sing once more. she swayed a bit to this one as she allowed only her vocals to carry the tune, no need for any background noise or tapping or her foot to keep time. Every now and then she would open her arms and move them around, as though she were dancing, though mostly she stayed in one place and kept the song going.
When it ended she held onto the last note and opened her eyes, a sad smile spreading over her lips once everything was done. "I think we learned this song from the humans, but I'm not so sure. No one really knows how we first heard it."

He looked like he wanted to cry. A hand came up, running over his face briefly before he shook his head. "You're amazing," he told her quietly. "I've never met someone with this awesome of range, and perfect pitch... jack, that alone is a thing of beauty," he told her. "I mean, Hel has a gorgeous voice, but not this depth of range..." He leaned back, thinking for a moment. "I don't think I know it either," he admitted. "I would have to ask Bones if he knows," he said. "That's possible. That old skelly's been around for forever." Then he sat there, picking a song to play for her. There was one, he thought with a little smile. One he thought she might like. He started the soft, sweet song with a content expression on his face.

Perhaps it wasn't too out of character for the Chupacabra to do so, but instead of just standing there and listening she found herself reaching out and placing her small hand on Roch's face. The touch was light and brief, but it was a bit of affection that was completely unplanned. She pulled her hand away and went back to sitting down at his side, her eyes closed to listen to the rest of the song.
It was one thing to be able to sing and move people, but there was something magical about having an instrument to help you do so. To know so many different songs was an amazing thing as well and her little selection that she knew seemed so limited in comparison. Still, it was wonderful to be near someone who loved music like she did - even if it was just a passing interest.
"That was a lovely song. It helps ease your feelings, doesn't it? I think when people make their music they put a bit of their soul into it - which is why I think mi madre once warned me to never stop halfway into a song. It leaves your soul open for danger!"

"Yeah... but I don't have one," he said a bit blankly. "So I should be fine." A little smile pulled at his lips because of the touch. Then he launched into another song for her, intent on trading music for as long as he could get her to. Over all, not a bad way to spend the day, if you asked him.
