All the while, Riley listened. There was a reason why she knew having a meeting would yield the highest results, and watching the council work as a well oiled machine, offering their services in conjunction with each other in fluid motion, made her eyes slit in satisfaction.

Finally, her hand lifted and she spoke.

Christof, make the fliers. Just.. have it typed out normally. We don't need them to look like kidnapping notices. The notes should attach to a cloak, and say nothing but the time, and place. Also mention that they should not enter the field uncloaked. Do not discuss why. Her eyes flickered to Jericho and Shehk. Use the kobolds and the subspace. They are intelligent enough to know what they're doing. The subspace is an excellent idea, we don't want kobolds running around the hallways suspiciously. Work together to get them to their destinations.

She sat back in her chair, her eyes furrowing in dismay. I hesitate to inform any staff member of this juncture. I know you have faith in Cricket, but to tell her what we're doing is to put her in as much danger as we put ourselves in. We are students. She, however, is a staff member and an adult. She has far more to lose.

Riley paused, and took a deep breath. I will take a vote on whether informing her is the right choice, and move from there. But first, are we all clear on our roles? This matter must be dealt with discretion and haste.

"Cricket?" Junko blinked. She had missed when Cricket had been informed of Red's death so she had no idea how close she and Red truly were. She didn't know how she felt. But if Shehk wanted them to talk to Cricket then they'd see what they could do. She smiled. "Okay. I've never..personally spoken to Cricket before so I'm not sure what I'd say if it were me." She scratched at her cheek a moment, a habit that was terrible for her face while it was trying to heal. A section of hair grabbed her wrist and held it in the air away from her face. Ugh. Right.

Christof's idea could work! Students put up fliers all the time! This would just be a different kind of flier. "A flier works. Scatter the information...I'm sure there're some students who will pick up on what they mean, and then they'll tell the right people. And those people will tell the right people!" She clapped her hands and looked almost excited. This could work! Totally! But then the question of delivery came up and Junko visibly paused. Er...delivery? She hadn't even finished them yet. She didn't have time to deliver them. But Riley agreed with the idea and Junko frowned.

"I don't want the cloaks to be delivered." Junko began, trying to sound stern yet..gentle. It wasn't easy. "I don't want anyone having a cloak before it actually happens. I need time to make them, and with my hands like this it'll take awhile even with Xiu and Lizzy's help. It'll take a few days at best." Junko was a perfectionist. They were cloaks but she was putting a lot of effort and care into these cloaks. They had to be perfect. "When they're finished I'll pack all of them up, sorting them by size, and we can take the boxes to just outside of wherever we decide to do this. When the students arrive then they may take a cloak, and one of us can keep an eye out to make sure anyone who shouldn't be there arrives. Heck, even a couple of us can stay with the cloaks. I don't know...but..I really don't want anyone having the cloaks ahead of time. I'm paranoid something could happen."

Junko sat down again, pushing her empty mug aside. "I vote that Cricket is fine. She doesn't seem the type to go tattling on us, and Shehk does have a point with her having eyes and ears everywhere. I swear I saw one of her bugs at prom."

The plan Riley laid out sounded pretty good to Jericho. However, it seemed that Junko had a few other ideas. Looking over towards her, he realized that yeah, this was going to take a little while to execute. There were a lot of cloaks that needed to be made.

"Are you sure you can make them all?" he asked with a furrowed brow. He was eyeing her hands in specific. She was getting help, sure, but he had to wonder how long it'd take three girls to make ALL THE CLOAKS. The school wasn't exactly small and all.

"Also my vote goes to yes to Cricket as well. It shouldn't be hard to inform her either. Just gotta find one of her bugs," the dragon inputted. He then paused.

"So... since I'm not helping with distribution any more, what exactly do I need to do know?" he asked. Granted, he did already supply the fabric, which was fairly crucial. Even so, he wanted to know if there was anything else he could help out with. There had to be something, he figured.

Shehk bit her lower lip. It was true that as an adult, Cricket had a lot to lose. However, it seemed two out of five were for it.

"I have a feeling as though she would find out anyways. However, who isn't to say we couldn't be asking her about Red about her likes, dislikes, and the like? We could make up a pretext for why we're doing it if we need to." the pricolici was sure the nurse was a smart woman and would figure it out, but.. "As long as we don't flat out tell her our intentions, she can claim innocence for all I care. It's simply that if we're going to do a memorial properly, we need to know more than we actually do. She doesn't have to be anything more than information.

Hell, we could ask Arel for all it's worth."

She paused after a moment, looking to Jericho; "If we need to, we can pair up a celestial wolf with a kobold to move together in delivering things. Then all we need to do is make physical contact with people.

Skoll and Hati can track pretty light scents and would find people's doors through tracking either of us. But that's if that is how you want to go about it. We can also divvy them up into four individual units if we think that will go quicker." However... "I'm not sure how we'll be able to determine who or who should not be present at the event if we don't have a visual physical hint or something.

I dunno, I feel like I.."

she suddenly popped a hand into her open palm. "Has anybody here read 'The Scarlet Letter'?"

Just the letter, then. Riley amended once Junko made her stance clear. It made sense, there was no reason to argue the point. And three votes for telling Cricket means majority. Who is going to do it? That was her subtle way of saying /not it/.

Lastly, we need to choose a spot. Any ideas?
PostPosted: Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:15 pm

Junko blinked. "Well by who..should and should not be there I mean...we know the majority of the students. I'd like to think we could recognize if someone who is not a student walks up and goes, 'hey guys can I have a cloak too hahaha by the way you're all under arrest trololololol'?" Junko had had one too many of these drinks. What was in them? Too much sugar, that's what. Or not enough if one were to ask her. It had made sense in Junko's head. They only wanted students in attendance of this! Not that they hated the faculty just...they were a huge risk. But Shehk's question confused her. The Scarlet Letter? What did a book have to do with this?

"I've never read it. Why, Shehk? Also, Cricket kind of scares me. All those bugs. I get worried I'll step on one or one will get in my hair and The Mistress will eat it in self defense." Junko added quickly for Riley.

As for a spot..? "The forest? It seems like it'd be safe..."

Shehk frowned.

"The keyword in that was 'majority' of the students. We don't know all of them. Who are we to turn someone who could very well be a student away just because we don't like the look of them or we're suspicious of them? Everybody in the student body has the right to mourn." she leaned over onto the table, resting her bandaged head in the palm of her hand, though it was a slightly more casual lean than her pained one from earlier had been. "Plus, you never know how young a boogieman could look, I mean.."

She paused.

"Look at Arel." The dude was shorter than shortness and had about as much puberty in his veins as a 10 year old. Shehk was certain he was older than they were, however.

"It'll be easier for us if we don't have to be pop quizzing everybody on the school to make sure they're legit, I guess." She sat up a bit straighter. "As Riley garnered, the book 'The Scarlet Letter' basically has this lady who is found to be an adulterer marked with a Red 'A' on her so that everybody knows. It seemed..fitting. The color and that we could easily give out a message with a letter 'R' attached to it that people could pin to their shirts or whatever."

As for Cricket, Shehk made a small face, twirling her hair a bit. She'd do it if nobody else wanted to, but..."I think I have enough bad Karma with the Nurse. If push comes to shove, I'll go because I suggested it, but......" It was sort of painfully obvious that she wanted to avoid that.

"The forest could be pretty safe..." murmured Jericho in response to Junko, though he soon looked over at Shehk as she explained why she had brought up the book.

"That could work. Though to save some work from Junko, we could just say somewhere in the message to don a red R? Or something along those lines," he suggested. He wasn't sure if that would make things any easier for the lot, but there was that possibility.

"As for Cricket.. uh.. I guess I could try talking to her. I helped her out a bit at the tents so I.. might be on her goodside? Maybe? I really don't know."

Shehk had a point. Damn. Junko didn't even think of that! The ghoul couldn't help but snort a little with quiet laughter when Arel's issue of being..vertically challenged was brought up. She was quick yo reign it in, pursing her lips to just listen to what Shehk had to say. Ah, so that was the story of the scarlet letter? It sounded interesting! Maybe she'd give it a try one day, but for now the important thing was how it was even relevant to their conversation. "Ohhhh...how would we set that up though? Like, what message exactly could we give so that students figure out they need to wear the red R and not just go 'what the jack is this?'" Man, being secretly rebellious was hard. Junko did like the idea of making everyone wear something specific to reveal they were, well, students! But the problem was she could only think 'hey if a student can figure it out so can a boogeyman'. Then again were the boogeymen staying here? It wasn't as if...okay. No. This could work. As long as the boogeymen were leaving they didn't have anything to worry about.

Junko looked grateful for Jericho making a point of saving her work. She didn't want to make hundreds of little red R patches to somehow give the students. "We could even just..give the Rs to those we know and trust, and give them a couple Rs to give to people they know and trust since we don't know everyone in the school. But then that also seems like a lot of work. Unless someone else wants to stop by my room and make them Rs while I work on the cloaks." She shrugged. It was up to them which option they went with. But she was glad someone agreed on the forest. That was two votes?

"The only place I don't think would be a good idea would be the graveyard. It's out in the open, and really obvious. But with any other location we could do something. Give something for the students to pay their respects to...I did manage to collect some of her ashes..." She was willing to give them up for the cause. She'd even go out and find a pretty urn for them.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 10, 2011 7:33 am

"I'm hesitant to have anybody be seen giving something to anybody else. If a boogieman saw us, it'd become obvious quick that the students were up to something and things would get difficult." Shehk frowned, knowing very well that the students weren't entirely made up of...er..'smart' individuals. She could think of at least a handful that had...problems. Wasn't there a student who plain old couldn't read? She felt like there was one. She couldn't remember, however, any specifics about it.

"What if the notes themselves were the red 'R's? Like, we did them in that shape? People who wanted to come mourn would hang onto those and they'd be unlikely to fall into Boogieman hands that way." She leaned over onto the table more. "I don't know how....plausible that is though."

Hmmmm...

"But I agree, the graveyard might be the one place that is too open for us to use."

Christof had just raised his hand to eagerly offer up the far Graveyard he liked to spend a lot of time in-

but quickly put his hand down again with a look of disappointment.

No body. No Parts. No Graveyard. What kind of funeral *was* this? A disappointing one, he sighed to himself, slumping over to put his chin on the table top.

I can make whatever is needed, and am happy to simply deliver the fliers. No one can move as silently or quickly as an Igor, he mentally murmured with a touch of pride. But if you wish to trust the whole endeavor to a bunch of *pets* so be it. As for Professor Cricket... if she is as trustworthy as Miss Shehk says, I suppose I agree. It worries me, though. I have had my fill of detentions. This is... a risky thing, Mistress. We could be taken down from the council if we anger the wrong people.

No one can move as silently or quickly as an Igor.

Riley's face plummeted and she put both of her hands up, rubbing her face in annoyance.

Right. She growled. No one can give the student body a message more silently than an Igor. She repeated, lifting her head with a deadpan expression. Except a Mindflayer.

Durh.

The fliers are out. There will be no paper trail. Everyone is now in charge of helping Junko get those cloaks finished as quickly as possible. When she has told me that they are complete, I will, ah.. inform the students where to be. You must make sure the cloaks are on the students before they entering the clearing. That is my only demand.

She stood, a little too harshly, and the chair squeaked against the floor behind her. Are we ready?

Looking between the others, Jericho stared at Christof for a moment or so as apparently there was a bit of an exchange between him and the Illithid.

"Alright. Gotcha."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 10, 2011 6:21 pm

...You had to be kidding.

Junko groaned and did almost the exact same thing as Riley, only instead of two hands it was one hand that she pressed against her face and dragged down until she was able to look across the table through her fingers. ********. Except a mindflayer was right. How could they totally forget?

"Wow. That was...wow." Riley couldn't be fully blamed for not thinking of this. At any point any one of them could have thought of that. Wow. They were making this way too hard.

Damn it was good to have a mindflayer on their council. "Okay cool...um...actually. Christof?" Junko turned to him now, putting her hand back down on her lap. "Instead of making cloaks...can you make something for us to leave mementos in? Kind of like..I don't know...a really nice box? So students can leave things in it for Red?" Even if she couldn't physically have any of these things it was the thought behind it that really mattered. Christof was good with tools. He was good at building. He was the best one for this job. "Not, like, a coffin. Just a box. And then Shehk...do you sew? I can't remember.." As for Jericho...she'd find something for him to do. "I could also used someone to help me find materials for and put together the clasp idea I had for these cloaks?" Junko was looking directly at Jericho as she said this, a hopeful smile on her lips.

Looking to Junko, Jericho nodded as she gave out the tasks for each of them to do. When she tossed one at him, he couldn't help but grin.

"Sure thing. Just let me know what you're thinking of and I'll see to getting a supply," he said. Unless she wanted brightsteel or something ridiculous like that, he could probably find and buy or gather the item in need. He could also do this using his own funds rather than what the school provided the council to help keep things on the down low.

"I could be mistaken but I think we have ourselves a plan now."
