He expected a place a little less swampy and crawling with crazy animals. This was definitely not the place he wanted to be at. Carefully he took a step by step through the swamp, making sure the ground was solid below him so he and Morrigan wouldn't fall. While fumbling through the mud Tao came across some worms, they were perfect bait for the fish. He was already thinking of the dinner he was about to have as he heard his stomach growl loudly. "Morrigan? Mind if I go fishing? I'm starving!" He said honestly. He couldn't believe how hungry he was.
Tao plopped down beside a small little lake and used his fishing line with hook and fishing net to capture some fish. About an half an hour later he had captured five fish with the worms and four from his net. He was ecstatic, you couldn't wipe the smile off of his face. He also managed to find some vegetables called Katniss nearby too. So he was set! As he waited he ate all of his apples, two berries, two fish, and drank away the rest of his canteen! He didn't realize how hungry he was!
As he was finishing up he looked over in the distance and spotted a small sign of smoke rising up from a part of the wetlands. His attention immediately went to Morrigan. "A fire?" Tao said in a low voice, as he felt his body crouch below the high grass to hide them. ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Sew me into the background, then I will thrive.    Dottie had spent the last few days, wallowing over the fact she didn't have very much water left. What was she going to? She was already extremely thirsty, and she could practically feel her body groan for lack of water. She had to fix it, she had plenty of food, but no water. But today, she was going to fix that. She hadn't made a fire in days, so she was pretty sure she was safe. She walked quietly for several hours, her throat could've cracked from how dry it was. She grumbled to herself, slightly mad at the world for not having any water. But then she took a breath and stopped, it was no one's fault. Simply her own for not working hard to find water. Her surroundings were grass. And a lot of it. She made her way through, suddenly, spotting something. They were plants. But they were pretty tough. She poked them, it was almost like poking a tire. Until she figured something out. They were filled with water. Too thirsty to really care, she drank until her thirst was gone, happy with her decision until she realized her canteens, had been left, empty. So once again, she walked around for another good hour, until she finally found a stream, in which she filled her canteens and went back to the spot she had under a tree, leaning her head on the bark, a small smile on her face. Maybe she had a chance after all.

┗━━━━━━━━━┛ The last few days had definitely had their ups and downs. For one, I had broken out with a nasty case of hives after eating dandelions, but at least I now knew I was allergic to them. They've mostly cleared up now, but there's still a few pink blotches over my body, but they are no where near as itchy as they first were. I'd managed to find some new weapons for myself, most likely some tribute dropped them before dying, or they were gifts from the Capitol. Either way, a trident and a second sword were okay to have.
I'd run out of water recently and although I had just finished off the last of mine, I was quite thirsty. I didn't really mind though, for I knew I wasn't dangerously close to dehydration like I had been the first few days of the games. Cleaning out the fish I had caught earlier, I nodded in response to letting Tao go fishing. It wasn't really too far away, so I would know if he needed my help, not that I'd been of much use lately in terms of fighting.
When he had returned, he showed me a nice supply of fish that he had caught and I smiled at his luck, but stopped when he pointed towards the smoke. "Do you think they're alone, Tao? I'd hate to say this, but we should consider beginning to eliminate our competition. We might have the upper hand in this fight." I asked, wondering if he would be willing to try to fight more after had already taken out a few tributes. It must've been hard for him, but there was only six tributes left and we'd be home free.
Before Tao could answer, I felt a horrible pain on my leg, and I was pulled to the ground. I felt myself being dragged away and I fought to distance myself from what looked like some nasty large reptile with big teeth. Luckily I had grabbed my sword from the ground before I had gotten too far away, and swung it straight into the beast's head. Once I was sure it was dead, I pulled my leg from it's teeth and examined the damage, turning to Tao, who had been in pursuit of the beast as well. I didn't even have to ask him to help me, for he helped me get back to my supplies. I quickly applied some salve to my wound as well as some bandages, then turned to Tao, who was looking at me with grave concern.
"Okay...on second thought...maybe we should wait until morning to make our move...I don't think I'll be going anywhere tonight. It's not too deep of a wound...so I should be up and about tomorrow...this Capitol medicine works wonders..."

Sew me into the background, then I will thrive. After being attacked by two tributes, Dottie could barely manage to get up. But she wasn't going to die. She was going to get up and run. It was her only talant truthfully, but it would come in handy at this point. She had an axe, but she was already hurt. She wasn't going to risk it. She scrambled away from her, grabbing her stuff and running like only she could. Her heart wanted to crawl out of it's chest as each step dug into the muddy earth, each threatening to have her killed. She didn't want to be murdered. If she was going to die, she was going to do it herself. By choice. Her own decision. Not anyone else's. Ever. Although it'd only been a few minutes of running, she was already out of their sight, gladly leaving the Wetlands. She knew she'd have to stop soon, her wounds ached far too much... Hopefully a place would be close. [Exit to Rain forest]

They were almost done! Though the Gamemakers must be getting aggravated. Their hasn't been a death in days, this could mean trouble for them.
Though before Tao could say anything a large scaly creature crawled out from the water and attacked Morrigan's leg! It startled Tao so much that his heart jumped out of his chest! For a moment he froze, not knowing what to do. This thing was huge! Though it was hurting Morrigan...and this made Tao furious. With sword and axe in hand he got being the creature. With as much force as he could he drove the axe into it's tail and stabbed it in it's butt. The creature hissed and growled loudly, then went limp and released Morrigan. He looked to her and saw she was also fending off the creature with her sword. She must have stabbed it in the head because it wasn't moving anymore. With a quick sigh of relief he hurried over to Morrigan's bag and brought it to her. While she tended to her wounds he dragged the creature away from them and let it sink into the water.
He returned to Morrigan and eyed her bit wound, he was immediately feeling concerned for her. She broke the silence, she was able to keep the conservation light and didn't seem to worried about the bite. He smiled to her, was glad she was alright. "Good call..." He replied, not feeling to talkative after the quick and shocking event. He looked over a little way over and saw he left his bag over near the water. He got up and went over to get it and spotted a pitcherplant. He smiled at it and picked it from the ground and drank deeply from it. Immediately he felt his thirst fade away, it was very refreshing. He also managed to catch and kill two frogs too.
As he returned to Morrigan he downed the fresh frog meat and went through his bag for more food. He found his last rice cracker and four fish and ate them like he hasn't ate in two days. As he looked to Morrigan he began to feel like a pig. "Do you need anything? Water? Food? Anything?" He offered to her cheerfully. ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

┗━━━━━━━━━┛ "No, I'm alright on supplies. Though, I think I need your fishing line again." I said to Tao with a smile, and holding up a bunch of worms that I had found a little while ago. "Gotta find some fish before these little buggers dry up. I'll stay close by though. Wouldn't want any of those stupid crocodiles coming after me again." I said to him, only half smiling this time. When I had been attacked, I had felt numb, very much like how I had been when I had killed Alchemy. It was strange how all emotions turned off like that when I was attacked. Even when I knocked out that boy from district four, I had felt fear because of nearly dying, but hitting him with that rock had been without emotion. However, it was obvious the Gamemakers wanted me to fight again, for I received a meal from Velocity, our mentor. She had left a small note in it that told me to Keep it up. It had been a nice surprise for my ravenous stomach, and after Tao assured me that I didn't have to share with him, I finished it, slowly, but surely.
After Tao hands me the fishing line, I walk to the closest body of swamp water and begin fishing. Seven fish later, and I begin returning to where our camp was, and it's the sudden rush of water that makes me turn back, only to see a giant wave coming our way, and fast. "Run! Hurry! Head towards the mountains!" I scream to him, causing him to turn my way from where he sat at our camp. However, once he saw the rush of water, he was quick to gather up our things and begin running after my urging him to keep running. District five wouldn't have a victor if he waited for me and I was drowned. He'd die with me and I didn't want that one bit. I'd catch up to him shortly, knowing that I was a fast runner.
