"Ouch." Attor laughed rubbing his shoulder before jumping to his feet. He need something to help him forget his troubles. A sparring match with Von might just be the cure for now. "Let's go then?" Attor said start with a little foot work till she got up to spare with him.

Von smiled knowing she didn't put enough power behind the punch to hurt anyone. " You sure now? Cause I'd hate to beat your butt and have you call do overs on me." She stood up and dusted the dirt and grass off her clothes before taking her stance. " Though if I lose horribly just know that I didn't get to practice this summer. Just letting you know." Her smile settled firmly on her face, she was going to enjoy this oh yes she was.

"Yeah and its ok win or loose is a distraction just do me a favor and avoid the palms of my hands....they still hurt." Attor said dancing about her waiting for her to make the first move as always.

Von nodded her agreement and started to circle him, weighing his stance and moves. She knew he'd wait for her to attack fist so she took her time studying him. It had been a long summer and it took awhile for her brain and muscles remember what they'd learned the year before. She thought she saw an opening on his left arm so she feinted towards his right hoping to get his attention there so she could bop him on the left.

Attor might have seen this before, but he was no where near his tip top shape. Between bouts of not eating and a night here and their with no sleep his attentions weren't high enough for such a sport. So she got him square on. He huffed and countered with an upper cut. Trying to get in the move before she drew her hand back into a protective position.

Von couldn't believe it worked though he got her back the next moment. She needed to focus and not get distracted. She circled with him a couple more times before trying the opposite move. She figured if she got him with a simple move like that it might work again. Though if it did she might stop the match cause he obviously hadn't been taking care of himself since his family situation. Then without thinking she blurted out her bad news. " My folks are splitting up. And they're having me stay here over the breaks. And I'll be own my own for finding somewhere to go this summer." That was only half the issue seemed they blamed her visit this last summer for being the straw that broke the camel's back.

Attor saw this move coming this time, but her sudden outburst of new made him look away just long enough to be hit in the side. Perhaps this wasn't the best idea for them to be doing as his knees buckled and he fell on his arse. He blinked before rubbing a hand on his bum. "Perhaps....boxing isn't the best idea for me right now....I've...not been taking care of myself at all...."
Attor then looked up at Von and frowned. "I'm sorry to hear that Von, I wish I could help but as you know Im not in the position too...." Now Attor felt helpless. "To bad neither of us are older, I could totally afford to rent a place, but who will rent to a 12 year old." Attor huffed finding that money wasn't doing him any good for once.

Von wasn't expecting to blurt that out or actually hit so when Attor went down so did she. With a umph she landed next to him and nodded in agreement about them not sparing anymore. She scooted close enough to lean against him as she pulled her knees up. " It's not so bad, not like they ever wanted me before, but they did at least find people to watch over me. I'll probably stay with Vi, that's where I spent most of my time this summer any way." She refused to let her parents' selfish nature ruin her life. " Why haven't you been taking care of yourself? You know that just makes the problems worse, right? Come on let's go to the Great Hall and get you some food." She stood and reached down to grab his hand to help him up. " We'll sit on the end and anyone who says something we can deal with together."

Attor smiled at Von as she leaned against him, she was a good friend too, wasn't she? He place one hand on his red hair and pulled at it slightly he was tired of being so tired and stress. Why were parents so selfish causing such trouble for good kids like Von and himself. "If you need some money or something Von just let me know...I can at least help you in that way." Attor said moving his hand away from his face and putting it on his knee.
"I don;t know...the thought of food makes me sick. I keep having nightmares so sleeping isn't going well. And sometimes..." Attor looked down to his feet. "I just want everything to stop...so I just lay in my bed staring at the ceiling hoping I'll wake up and be in my room, with my snake...my mom cooking breakfest and everything is just normal again. But it never happens...." Attor sighed and soon noticed her extended hand. "If you insist." Attor sighed the Great Hall being a place he had been avoiding. If the Slytherin's had to see his scars so be it but he wanted to avoid as many people as possible, which honestly didn't seem to be working any how. He took her hand as she helped him to his feet. He felt a little dizzy so perhaps forcing some food into his gut would be a good idea. "Ok I guess I can do it with you their Von....." Attor blinked looking towards the castle full of doubt.

Von smiled and kept her hand in his as they slowly walked to the castle. Being this close Von got a good look at her friend and frowned with concern at his condition . " Don't worry about the money, I always find a way you know that. Now lets go chow down." She let go of his hand to wrap her arm around his waist to help hold his waif like body upright and made it look casual. After all how many times had she walked with Kenny like this and no one batted an eyelash. She managed to help him all the way to the Hall without anyone interfering and once the hall doors opened she gave anyone who dared look at them the evil eye saying back off. How they took it was their business.

Attor smiled a bit Thankful for the help from Von. "Yeah, but no just getting by promise me this. What good is money if I can't help my friends." Attor said with a nod.
At first he felt weird with Von helping him to walk to the castle,but soon he felt comforted by it. At least he knew he had friends here at Hogwarts and they wouldn't let him down and neither would he let them down.
Upon entering the great hall his eyes fell to the ground. He didn't want to know if anyone was looking he just wanted to pretend there was no one there, but him and his friends.

Vonali got them safely to the table and sat him down on the very end with her blocking everyone's view by sitting between him and them. " Ha! I was right they've got a great meal today." She started piling food on her plate while keeping an eye on Attor in case he tried to get away with not eating anything. She had thought to fill his plate for him but figured that wouldn't go well with the image he was wanting to uphold." You know if you let this effect you enough that it's noticeable it could affect your connections. Good business sense is to ignore the scars and hide the depression and uncertainty. It won't be easy, but if the connections mean that much to you..." She ended with a shrug after all it was up to him to decide how he wanted to behave and react to the situation.

Attor clung close to Vonali not wanting to be in here at all, much less eat anything. He watched Von pile her plate up, she ate a lot for a girl which impressed him.
He eyed her for her comment she seemed to be trying to use phrases that would pluck at his interest in order to get what she wanted out of him. Which made him smile a little she was cunning in that way which also impressed him.
"I-I don't know if I can right now...." Attor said with a sigh before putting a little something on his plate and poking it with a fork. He was going to try and eat it since Von had put effort into this, but he really didn't want to.

Von raised an eyebrow as he put something small on his plate. " Darlin, you're gonna need a lot more then that to build up your strength. Though I guess small steps will work." She gave him one of her rare true smiles before taking another large bite. So the guy was going to be stubborn, well she could be too.
After swallowing she started talking again hoping she could draw him out though and idea had formed in her head and she smiled softly at it. " How about when we get done here we head back to the Common room and I'll play for you for a bit." It wasn't a question and she expected him to agree, after all she'd gotten him in here. Maybe she'd try playing one of the songs she'd been working on over the summer or maybe something more classical. She gave a mental shrug figuring that the right music would come to her.

Attor eyes her before actually taking a bite of the thing on his plate. He immediate pushed it to the side and picked something else to put on his plate. It didn't help that he was a horribly picky eater, but the second thing he was found was more to his liking and he starting slowly eating a way at it. Every once and a while he would look about the room. There were still a few people curious to his scars, mainly the rumors that had been made up about them. Really depended what house to spoke to, they were anything from an animal attack to a vicious wand duel of some sort. Attor looked down at his plate trying to finish the thing he was eating before attempting anything else. On his horrible empty stomach this little bit felt like he had been devouring everything in his path. His stomach lurched and ached and Attor closed his eyes for a moment hoping it would stop.
"I'm trying Von..." Attor mumbled before getting something to drink.
He poured himself something before nodding at Von. "I think I might like that...haven't heard you play since last year...sorta miss it." Attor said with a small smile
