Hel knew she couldn’t win…but she was proud of herself. She had hung in there for quite a few rounds with the Heir to Conquest.
She grit her teeth as Invictus grasped the blade of her spear once more, stilling her, just within the reach for another gravity field. The valkyrie fell from the air and landed on the ground with a loud thud, hissing as her fear shield gave way and the field held her pinned to the ground for a bit longer. Her spear dissipated, and for a long moment she stayed where she was before slowly pushing herself up to a knee.
The ghoul’s shoulders heaved from the exertion, and she looked up to the victor of this battle. “…When I become stronger, we will battle again.”

Invictus did not move to help her up - not out of disrespect, but out of his own version of respect. He would not deny her own ability to stand even at the point she stood..kneeled at now. It was sort of twistedly ironic, but in that way he'd sort of.. 'earned' it? But, she had spirit, if nothing else.
Her challenge for a rematch was refreshing as well. Normally the Horsemen garnered enough fear to not want to do battle with them again. Even the Moon Hunters had wanted the Hell Pony left home the next time the students met with them. Not that he regretted letting lose and rampaging upon them in a sea of 50 foot pony, stomping, and flames. It had been too long since they'd done that last.
"I look forward to it then. I'm sure you will not disappoint."

Eventually Hel was able to push herself to her feet. She wobbled a bit, but she held her ground. She was too stubborn, too proud to stay kneeling in front of the Horseman. The reaper was glad he didn’t extend a hand. That would have just been embarrassing.
“I don’t ever plan to.” She replied with a small smirk. “I’m sure you won’t either.” Hel paused for a moment before holding a dark hand out to the Horseman to shake. A promise for a rematch that was what it was.

Well, as much as he would have like her to stay kneeling, he did know that all good things had to come to an end. He didn't look disappointed, however, just as he hadn't seemed to be enjoying when she was kneeling. The same mild emoting he always had. So mild it almost didn't exist.
"I will try not to." he replied, taking the offered hand and squeezing it firmly - albeit not in a crushing manner. It was a handshake, not a 'kill each other with hand crushing'shake. If nothing else, at least he didn't have the dead fish handshake going on. That would have just been awkward. "Keep improving and I'm sure you'll knock me down someday." he added. Really, it was a matter of experience and luck that determined everything.

While the reaper couldn’t pick up on how the Horseman was feeling, let’s just say she wouldn’t have been surprised if she found out that he enjoyed seeing her kneel.
Hel was pleased when he returned her hand shake, and she shook his hand firmly before releasing it. The ghoul then placed her hands on her hips briefly, and looked a bit taken aback by his words. They were…oddly encouraging, and something she had not expected to hear coming out of his mouth. Hel still looked surprised, before a small smile crossed her lips. “I’ll train every day, aspiring towards that goal, then.” The reaper gave him a firm nod of her head.
Well…her business was done here. It was time to return to her dorm for another bout of rest and recuperation. “I’ll be seeing you soon enough, I’m sure.” Was her parting before she left the gym, with new thoughts and aspirations to mull over. Okay…so she still thought that the Horseman had a serious ego…but after that exchange…maybe her opinion of him improved. Just a bit.

Oh, he hadn't expected to mend any bridges through battle, even with his own opinions on things. However, it was sort of cruel to expect someone who was named, essentially, 'Invincible', or rather 'Unconquerable' to actually be very humble. Yet, he didn't rub his victory (the expected and overwhelming, unfortunately) in the Valkyrie's face. Instead, she allowed her to take her leave of him, before he set about on his own way to sit in his room.
He had some things to fuss with and a hand to bandage, after all.. and perhaps a few things to mull about.
