"You can pick one that appeals to you the most then," She giggled, "Be warned though! They can be quite... Cheesy." That's what makes them so enjoyable though, sometimes.
"I have to agree. Let us stop here for today. I have the dress here!" She giggled again, sounding rather pleased with herself as she placed the cup of tea back down on the table and leaned to the side to grab the bag that she had brought with her. Standing up, she then pulled up the dress from inside, the hem of the dress pooling on the ground around her feet; it was clearly made for someone taller.
"Here!" She shuffled forward, carefully bringing up one of Lattice's hands to touch the fabric, "To think... This whole dress is our canvas!"

There was a pause at this, "Romance novels have cheese in them?" Lattice asked almost sounding incredulous at this concept. People put cheese in books? That was very silly indeed.
Lattice nodded a bit and watched as the ghoul brought the dress out, the Engraver set her cup aside and let Lizzy take her hand so she can touch the fabric. Her ink stained fingertips rubbed at it enjoying the feel of the cloth. Lattice found herself looking forward to wearing this.
"It shall be wonderful indeed. I wonder what kind of design we should put on it," she said thoughtfully. Half the time Lattice didn't plan what she drew she just let the ink do as it pleased unless she had a plan in mind.

"Cheese? Ah, no! Uh, cheesy is..." She paused, frowning as she tried to think of a way to explain the word, "Is... The story can be a little predictable and cliche?" Again, this was why romance novels were considered such a guilty pleasure for her.
While she was a little worried that ink would be left on the fabric, she convinced herself that it was for Lattice anyway, and that she would be happy as long as the engraver was satisfied.
"Do you have inks that will not wash off?" She asked, smiling up at the ghoul, "And it's completely up to you! What sort of designs would you like on a dress?"

There was a pause as she took this explanation in, "Oh. I see. I understand now," Lattice chuckled a bit with a small shift of her shoulders, "until now I hadn't honestly heard the word used in such a manner that I can recall. Even at the Manor."
Thankfully there were no stains left behind on the fabric after Lattice had touched it. The stains were so deep in the skin they were simply a part of her. The Engraver nodded once as she moved to get up going forth to get various vials and things to present to Lizzy, "I did some research and mixed them myself, they should work."
"I have never honestly thought about it until just now...Perhaps...something floral? O...or would that be 'cheesy'...?" Lattice asked using the new terminology brought to her.

"Ohh, I'm so excited!" Her voice increased in pitch as she hugged the dress close to her, still holding onto the top. She looked from one vial to the next, impressed that Lattice did all this herself and rather delighted that she was as into the project as she was.
"Don't worry too much about it," She nodded, reaching out with a hand to pat Lattice on the side of her arm gently, careful to avoid the needles, "Paint whatever you want and think you will most enjoy! Besides, this dress will be totally unique!" She sounded extremely happy at the fact that nobody would ever wear the same dress out, purely because it was handmade by herself and Lattice.

Lattice didn't seem to mind the excited pitch in Lizzy's tone she let out a small giggle and then nodded a bit, "Alright then, would you mind helping me set up so I can start to work on it?"
The ghoul started to set her vials and things aside first in order to help Lizzy situate the dress to where Lattice could easily get her work done with very little issue. Once everything seemed to be in place that was when Lattice began her work.
Patient quiet brush strokes were made against the fabric and every now and again Lattice would quietly ask the other ghoul to hold the fabric a bit tauter for the sake of cleaner and more defined lines. For the most part Lattice was quiet during this seeming to concentrate on making the ink do what she wanted rather than the other way around, certainly here and there she'd allow it to do a flourish that it desired but otherwise it was all Lattice.
In the end they ended up with a design that was as of the flowers, vines, and other aspects of it were creeping up around the skirt of the dress.

Lizzy simply nodded; it was their project but it was Lattice's dress and she wanted it to be perfect the way the ghoul saw it. Not her. Besides, when the painting process started, she was so focused on the task, and on observing and helping her friend, that she slipped into silence too... Classical music in the background would probably seal the deal for her right about now.
When they were done, she stood up, her own hands stained with ink that had long dried but would probably wash away given time and the right solvent.
"I think it's beautiful," She sighed, a fond smile on her lips as she stared down at the dress, "It's somehow very... You. I love the design!"

Lattice looked over her handiwork with a small smile. She had made sure the aspect of the design wrapped around the dress just so. Despite needing to pause now and again to let the ink on the fabric dry just so it wouldn't smudge but it had all been worth it. She looked over at Lizzy, "You like it? I like it too. I think I shall wear it when we go out one day," she murmured thoughtfully not certain as to when she'd wear the dress but she wanted it to be on a special occasion.
Nothing seemed more special than going out with Lizzy.

"Awwww, I better get to planning a trip for us soon then!" She giggled, honored that she would want to wear the dress for such an occasion, even if Lizzy saw going out with herself as nothing special.
"Perhaps a trip to the book store, to get you a romance novel," She grinned, not forgetting their previous chat about getting Lattice her first one.

"That sounds like a good trip after we can maybe go out for a dinner, then maybe shop for more fabric for other dresses? I enjoyed making this with you. Maybe we could make one for my Sister?" She asked curiously. Naturally the design would end up a bit different but still the fact was that she wanted to make something lovely for her Sister as well.
Lattice began putting everything away so that the ink on the dress can properly dry, "Thank you for this Lizzy, I am very touched that you would do this for me..."

"Oh! Sure! I love the sound of that!" She was gleeing, not even bothering to hide her joy as she giggled, thinking of all the things they could do with a second dress, "I would love to help you with another one for your sister! Maybe we could even be introduced!" She was sure that Needle must be as lovely as Lattice, since both Petro and Lattice spoke so fondly of her.
"It was no problem at all!" She nodded, carefully giving Lattice a hug, "I enjoyed myself too!"

"Maybe she can come with us," she said thoughtfully, "I will certainly ask her as soon as you let me know when it is best for you," Lattice said with a small smile. The Engraver was open for the small excursion at any time.
The ghoul leaned lightly into the hug, "Good, I am sorry if you got bored while I went silent. I was just very much into my work," Lattice explained softly.

"I like that idea too," She nodded, eager to meet this mysterious sister of Lattice's that she had heard so much about, "I hope she is agreeable to it!"
She shook her head before pulling away, "I wasn't bored at all. On the contrary, I enjoyed it a lot! Besides, I liked watching you work... You were so into it!" It warmed her to see that, really. She was as passionate about her work as she sounded, back during their first meeting.

"I am certain she will. I will let you know," she said sounding rather happy.
A small tinge of red touched her face when Lizzy sounded so admirable about Lattice's admiration. Lattice smiled bashfully and nodded a bit, "I was. I enjoyed working with an interesting new surface, thank you for giving me the chance. I look forward to doing more with you if you would like."

"I look forward to it too!" More than Lattice would know, actually, "Although I really should go now..." She seemed reluctant though, since she had been having fun. However, there was nothing else for her to do, and she should let Lattice continue with whatever she was working on before her interruption.
"I'll see you again soon?" Which was Lizzy for 'I'll drop by again soon'.
