Al-Janah paused for a moment, trying to decide if her attack was cooler than his [no, he thought, not really, because he had a ******** spirit companion] and in that time she could easily get up behind him, to catch him behind the knee, to send him down with a graceless squawk and tumble. Entertaining sight for her, certainly, and she could tease him for it later.
After the initial shock of it, though, he was done crumpling and giving in. As she kicked at him, he grabbed after her leg, working to tug her down with him. maybe he wasn't the greatest fighter in the world, didn't really know what he was doing, but he'd make up for it with enthusiasm.
"...so you're saying, win-win situation for me..."

Oh she would definitely tease him for it later. Leto's attack wore off just as he grabbed her leg and her heart instantly began racing the second she felt it. And almost instantly, she tumbled down with him. Well that didn't quite go as planned. She looked down at him, her dark red eyes wide and her cheeks flushed when she realized that she was on the ground half on top of him. Getting an idea, she moved slightly so she was now on top of him entirely. "Only a win-win situation if you wanted me to kiss you," she said as she leaned in over him, her hair draping around them. She smirked and pulled away, lifting and rearranging herself so her left leg and knee were across his chest, putting pressure on him and pinning him to the ground.** This was the most ridiculous training ever. **Like this: here except opposite legs since her right is still braced and can't bend that well. XD

It knocked the breath out of him some, left Al-Janah blinking. for the moment, he just went still, not quite sure what would happen if he wriggled or tried to fight her. A slip of the knee could slide to somewhere really painful if he wasn't careful -- if she wasn't careful -- and it was already a bit bruising. Why court trouble?
Instead he just blinked up at her, his mouth shifting a little, like he was really thinking about that. When it split into a smile, maybe she would be surprised enough to loosen up.
"...I'm male, and you're hot. What do you think?" He wiggled his eyebrows and finally shifted, just a little bit, carefully. Checking to see how stable she was. He was unwilling to punch back, even with his jaw still throbbing. Trying to turn the tables other ways was a different story.

If she was blushing before, there were no words to describe the shade of red that her cheeks turned as she stared down at him. When he shifted her body swayed slightly, too distracted to remember to keep herself balanced and the pressure eased on his chest. With a simple movement, she could probably be taken down.
She blinked.
...
And the blinked again, her head cocking to one side just slightly. Okay yes, he was male. But her? Hot? What? "I think you're crazy and hit your head a little too hard," she said, eyebrows raised.

"Maybe." Poleaxed; her expression was poleaxed, and he took thorough advantage of it, reaching up to catch her around the waist and flip her off of him. Knee no longer at his throat, he grinned helplessly as he scrabbled for her hands, trying to reverse their positions.
Al-Janah had no real training, so he couldn't elegantly settle in with his knees just so, nor put her in some kind of proper hold. He could, however, work to catch her wrists and pin them against the grass and the dirt, settling across her sideways with just a brief flick of eyes up and around them to make sure no one was watching. "...point to me?"

Within what seemed like mere seconds, Leto had Al-Janah's arm around her waist and she was hitting the ground with a soft thud. She squirmed instinctively when his hands caught her wrists and pinned her to the ground.
Her dumbfounded expression cracked into a grin and she laughed and nodded. "Point to you." Her eyes caught his looking around them.
"Worried someone's gonna catch us?" An eyebrow raised at the question.
Okay, so maybe two teenagers in an empty field wouldn't look good to an onlooker. Particularly with her pinned under him... Although the two of them practice fighting was likely the last thing they'd imagine they were doing.

"...more worried someone might interrupt us." It was teasing but in a careful way, a deliberate way -- testing the waters, maybe, his attention easing back down onto her. Maybe this wasn't much of a training session, but he had learned something, at least. Amber eyes took in the way she sprawled, looking for tension or some shift that indicated another blow to the face, or a headbutt, or a cruel shift of knee...
He licked his lips and dragged up another grin, both eyebrows raised. "Uh. Say 'uncle' and I'll let you up."

"If anyone wanted to interrupt us, I could make us both go invisible and you'd have 30 seconds to do what you wanted with me," she waggled her eyebrows at him. He wasn't the only one who could tease, damnit!
She shifted under him slightly, her wrists still bound with his hands. "Let me up?" She snickered. "And you do realize if I wanted to be let up, I'd do it myself right?"
Boys were dumb. And she was being incredibly unprofessional. Whooops~

Al-Janah made it hard to be professional; Veer made it hard to be professional, too. His space at work was the same cluttered mess as his bedroom at home, and both Raph and Jasper had to deal with the snickering and the movies [and the occasional porn] and other inappropriate behavior while he compiled code. It was hardly Leto's fault. He was a bad influence on people.
"I dare you." There was, though, a flicker of uncertainty behind his eyes. He liked where they were right now, to be entirely honest, and was more than a little bit afraid that she might slug him again, with his jaw still aching and probably starting to bruise. Al-Janah wet his lips, nervously.

I dare you.
Well, now it was game on. You never turn down a dare, ever. And Leto wasn't about to make an exception. She chewed on her bottom lip as she thought on her next plan of action. Did she need to get back to serious business and throw another punch?
She watched him for a moment, her eyes shifting slightly. Her eyes stopped on his jaw that was beginning to bruise where she hit him. Okay, maybe no more punching.
Instead, she wrapped her legs around his waist. And with a little struggle since she was shorter than him and her knee was still sore, she pushed off of the ground and maneuvered herself (and him) so she was now pinning him down, her wrists still in his hands.
"I won't hit you again," she said with a quiet laugh.

...oh. Al-Janah swallowed, flushing just faintly, slowly -- not embarrassed exactly, but his blood was definitely flowing. His fingers shifted uncertainly around her wrists, loosening a touch, his grin faded out to something softer. Thoughtful, maybe. At least his skin was dark enough to cover the hint of color, make it less obvious.
"Um." He should joke, or something, but the twist of legs around him was thoroughly distracting. He blinked up at her, eyes wandering down briefly before he caught himself, forced them back to meet her eyes. It was much more difficult than it should have been.
"Am I supposed to call uncle, now?"

Leto nodded slowly while she swallowed back what felt like a giant boulder in her throat. While he was blessed with darker skin, she was pale and her cheeks remained flushed as she stared down at him.
"Point for me," she murmured quietly. She relaxed, suddenly incredibly aware of how tense every muscle in her body was.
If she said he needed to call uncle, she'd have to get off of him... Which would be the appropriate thing to do. Yep, appropriate is what she definitely needed to go for, clearly.
"Yessir, 'uncle' and you're allowed up."

"Uh huh." He thought about it, though; he made a point of thinking about it, with his fingers still shifting around her wrists, trying to control the flush back into his usual cocky expression. He mostly succeeded; the grin was there, red eyebrows raising in question, fidgeting just a tiny bit under her.
Most decisively not saying 'uncle'. Not yet, anyway.
Instead he licked his lips, slowly letting go of her hands and leaning back into the grass. He couldn't force himself to relax, as tense as she'd been. "And then what do I have to say to get that kiss you promised?"

She peered at him, very much aware of the fact that he hadn't said 'uncle' just yet. Her gaze went to his lips as he licked them and then back up to meet his eyes, watching him lean back into the grass.
"Oh."
That was all she could say, her heart suddenly thumping so hard and loud she could swear it had made it's way into her eardrums rather than residing in it's proper place in her chest.
She blinked a few times, chewing her bottom lip. The mention of a kiss had sent her into a silent panic. Fighting she was good at. Flirting and boys and kissing? Not so much.
"Well... I did say I'd kiss it better..." She pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes. "I said I'd kiss it better when I hit you, and I'm a lady of my word. But that's all you get!"
She leaned down, using her forearms and elbows to support her over him.
"Gotta do more than say a magic word to get a real kiss," she murmured before planting her lips on his jaw where she had punched him. Three gentle kisses along his jaw, and she was rolling off of him, grinning.

More had most certainly been wishful thinking -- and he'd definitely thought of it. For now, though, he just blew out a shaky breath, still tense as she pulled away, head tipped back into the grass. He thought that definitely could have gone worse. Field training with Leto was obviously the way to go.
It was a moment before he sat up, smoothing at his transparent vest, now spotted and stained with dirt and grass. Fingers passed briefly over his jaw, still weirdly tingly, and then he pulled a face at her. "I feel short changed, I think."
In reality, he didn't. In reality, that had been okay, actually. He levered himself from sitting to standing and shook out his clothes.
