"Alright. Maybe we can find out why there's sand here." Alexa replied walking away from the tree. She looked around and picked the direction they had been heading in which led to more of the woods and more sand. "Shall we go this way?" She asked pointing.
((Where do you want them to encounter the quicksand?))

((They don't even got to do that. Just stepping and struggling will make them sink))
"Okay." Alexa said with a grin. She began walking that way, noticing more sand. In fact the sand seemed hard to walk in. Almost as if it was sucking her feet in. Must just be muddy underneath. She shrugged the thought off and kept walking. "Hey look. That tree has so many vines hanging off of it." She pointed to a tree a little ways away.

Flint was having similar trouble with the sand, he looked at the tree with mild interest " yeah, i just hope none of those vines are actually snakes" he said with a small grimace.

Alexa nodded. "I agree. It would be terrible if there were Ekans hanging out there." She paused lifting a foot up. There was sand stuck to her shoe and her other foot began to sink. "What is up with this sand?!" She exclaimed taking another step. She ended up slipping on the sand and fell down.... and proceeded to slid a bit as if on a slope. "Flint! I don't think this is normal sand!!!!" She yelled trying to get up. The sand was trying to suck her down which quickly made her realize that this was quicksand.

Alarmed Flint tried to pull one of his feet out of the sand but was met with Failure. Loosing his balance, he fell as well " s**t! " he cursed as he impacted with the loose sand. " how does stuff like this even happen?" he growled as he attempted to pry his feet from the sand. He was doing his best not to panic.

"I don't know! But things like this always happen when I'm with you Flint!" She yelled before turning her head to look at him. She saw he had also fell but was trying to get free. "I think it's quicksand.... only with you would I discover a woods that had quicksand!" She snapped. She had managed to stand up again but her legs had sunk into the ground, up to her knees. "Is there anything you can grab to pull yourself out? I'm too far from anything."

Flint growled " oh yeah sure, blame it on me! your the one who suggested me explore!" he said and cast his gaze around for something- anything- he could grab onto. His eyes fell on a particularly think vine that hung a short way away from him. Giving up on his efforts to free his leg he stretched as far as he could hoping to reach the vine. He huffed in annoyance when he realized it was just far enough away that he could only graze it with his fingertips and couldn't get a grip on it

"Yes I'm going to blame you! You're the one who led us here! So even if I didn't suggested exploring we still would have been sucked in." Alexa said trying to keep her balance as the ground suck her in more. She wanted to yell in frustration when Flint wasn't able to reach the vine. She looked around again hoping to find something to help. As she was turning her head part of her scarf slapped her in the face. "..... stupid scarf.... FLINT! My scarf! Can you use it to get something?"
