Pair two damage IF Hiru wants it.
You do not have to combine their attacks into one.

Hoshigaki Hiru ((For the critical hit is it instant death? Is it a countdown thing? Is there a fortitude check for the infection?)) ((Critical hit isn't 1-hit KO for Zombies attacking people alive. It's just the standard double damage. Critical Hits are "headshots" though for Shinobi.))

Level: 4 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 20/20 North Side Team
The first member of his team had shown up followed by their appointed captain, "Hey Keon-san and Shinzu-senpai! Well I would have to say my Gamibuyou and my ninjutsu, although that won't really be much help... I haven't really trained with any weapons, but I'm pretty fast!" He didn't realize the amount of danger this mission held. He assumed the zombies would be rather dumb and pretty easy to avoid, he was fast, but he was only starting his ninja career. "You like it? I picked it because it sort of called out to me. I think when this is over I'll practice with it. So what's the strategy commander?" He sheathed his blade and buckled it around his waist. He felt rather important with the weapon at his side and having a team with him.
Katana Damage: 4 - 12 + 1.5x str. mod. (1) = 4-12 Range: Melee Special: Always a master work item. Causes a Bleeding Wound upon a critical hit. +4 to blocking checks.

Masaraku nonchalantly walked up behind Batsu. "We have another Hoshigaki on our team too, but I don't know the other kid." Her hand remained on the blade at her side. Samehadamaku. "He has been in the academy for quite some time, from what I was told. Still hasn't earned a headband yet." She looked out over the city. "So we keep cutting them down until we meet in the middle I suppose."

Batsu looked over at Masaraku and immediately doom lines were across his face along with a look of utter disdain. One Hoshigaki was enough. Now he had to worry about the possible attitude of a second one? Just great. Batsu's head soon dropped down and his eyes squeezed shut.
"Yes Masaraku. We just need to stay on our toes.We are, most likely, the two strongest in the group. So if this kid is still an academy student then we have to keep watch over him. Hopefully he won't be too much trouble."

Rai held the decorative Kyodai Sensu across his chest. The thing was huge but his family isn't ninja's so this was the closest thing they had. 'Maybe I could swing it some how. It will be useful... I hope." He looked around and picked what looked like a deserted route. He watched over his shoulder. He hoped everyone was okay. He only had a pocket full of candy left. He ate almost all his candy last night and his stomach had felt the damage that morning. He pulled out and unwrapped a sucker. He hoped the candy would calm him down. He took a left at the end of the block and hoped it was the right way for anything positive.
Kyodai Sensu "Temari's Tessen" Damage: 6 - 16 + 1.5x str. mod. Range: Melee and Ranged. Special: +4 to Dodge Bonus and Reflex Save. +4 to blocking checks.

"Sh-shirayuki Kaede of Konohagakure r-r-reporting," the girl then bowed her head several times profusely. "U-uhm... I'm... I'm... I'M VERY SORRY FOR MY TARDINESS. IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN."
Kaede was a haggard mess by the time she had located and reached the spot where she was supposed to meet her assigned teammates. Not only did the complex and sprawling layout of the metropolis, a place of which she had absolutely no familiarity with, confuse the poor girl but she had gotten lost along the way. Her panting and her hair matted with sweat were proof of her troubles.
When Kaede lifted her head so that she could nervously peek at the faces of her teammates behind her bangs, her anxiety levels would increase. There was not a single familiar face to be found among the group of boys, a gender she could not say she could easily adjust to interacting with. Not to mention that all of them were from other villages and the girl did not know enough about foreign relations policies to trust herself to talk about anything other than mission-related topics. Well, at least they were around her age so that was slightly comforting for her. Though... perhaps this sign of inexperience shouldn't be a good thing either? The girl was too conflicted to decide.
Though, if she didn't know these boys at all then the same would go for them about her... probably. It would be considerate to tell them more about herself either way.
She bit her lip, "Uhm, I'm still an a-a-academy st-student so I still... h-have a lot to learn. But I do kn-know the basic j-jutsu mostly... except for the K-k-kakuremino no Jutsu... and the Ji-jibaku Fuda: K-k-kassei... Uhm, th-there isn't anything that I-I would say I'm p-particularly good at e-either. Since I'm st-still learning and a-all..."
...
And now that she reflected on her words, she was beginning to feel stupid.
Way to make a good first impression, Shirayuki you idiot.
She wracked her brain thinking of what to say to redeem herself. What she had said was the truth so it wasn't like she could take it back. And when the one - whom she assumed was the squad leader going by how the others addressed him 'senpai' - had inquired for how to combat their objectives, she drew a blank. Kaede didn't have any experience in fighting against the undead, much less devising strategies to combat them but...
"Well, uhm, I brought k-kunai... with me i-if you guys would like to t-take any. Th-that is... I don't mind i-if you do."
She was understandably distressed upon learning of the dangers of engaging in close combat. The thought of succumbing to the infectious disease and turning on her teammates... or her teammates turning on her was something she wanted to avoid if possible. Of course, there was also the problem of the limited amount of projectiles that could actually thrown. If they were all gone then what would be left that could be used to defend oneself? So she had opted to decide on a weapon that could be used for melee and ranged combat. How well this idea would work in the long term was something she was not looking forward to finding out.
Kunai (20) The kunai is the most famous weapon in the Naruto series and a favored weapon by all ninjas. The Kunai although not designed to be a throwing weapon can be thrown to a distance of 50 ft. Karasu was nervous upon arriving at the West side of town. This infection was a dangerous virus right? What would stop him from catching it? A foreign environment with 'foreign shinobi'. He didn't like this, he didn't like it one bit. As he approached a Suna shinobi he braced himself. He saw some sort of transformation in it. Was this an infected person that was going through some sort of mutation? "What the hell?" He exhaled a somewhat shaky voice. He held a Naganata that he had found in front of him. Thinking he could use the shaft to hold something off.

A kid walked up to the pair brandishing a naginata towards them. Kory, the elder of the two by an entire minute and ten seconds, waved his blue hair behind his ear and said, "Threatening your superior's already? My my we have an attitude problem." The more sensible of the two stepped in at that point, Cord, who looked stronger physically, but was about five inches shorter than his brother. "Brother, I think our jutsu startled him is all. He speaks, so he obviously isn't infected. Just take it easy on him, he's nervous."Kory spat back at Cord and said, "I know he isn't infected, but I don't need some nervous punk pointing his weapon at us every time we do something he can't understand. Which for an academy student isn't much ..." He scanned the boy for a headband, hoping he was wrong, but found no such luck. "Just keep him out of my way brother." Cord smiled and approached the new boy, "Don't worry little boy, its our bloodline ability. We can merge with living things. Thats actually why Sunagakure sent us, our clan has a very up close and personal knowledge of the human body as well as infections. We are hoping to find the cause of the virus so that we can find a cure." His tone lowered and he said, "My brother is a jerk on the outside, but he is actually a big softy." He looked back at Kory, who was now surveying the city. "And there is one more right? Another Kiri Academy student? While we wait on her, tell us what your good for kid. Do you know how to use that naginata, or are you waving it around blindly?" With his back turned on the boy, his Aien Nakaru would be visibly tucked into the back of his belt. o- O-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-X-X-X-X-X

Masaraku rolled her eyes. "I don't think your healing abilities have an effect on the walking dead. My cure does a bit better, but its messy. And thats the dangerous part." She looked at some lost kid walking around eating candy ... "And with them walking around like that, I don't think it will take long before they get infected. Remember what they said, they're attracted by noise. So we have to get his attention without being to loud before he walks into Zombie HQ blind." She didn't even comment of her opinions of the boys attempt at a weapon. I mean wind wouldn't really hurt zombies to much ... She began to mull over her jutsu in her head, realizing that most of them would be useless to this mission. It was all combat for her in that case.

Karasu would emit a small sigh upon hearing them talk. "Thank god.." He said lightly, his voice much more sturdy than before. It's not that he was ever scared, just taking two on at once would probably be dangerous. Especially if the infection was easily spreadable. Karasu's relieve would kind of flat line when he got called a little boy. His eyes grew slightly lidded in distaste. "Was that a pun? Or..." He shook his head. Disregarding the softy comment. Then when the larger of the brother spoke, Karasu seemed to pay attention a little better. He figured that the bigger one was probably more in charge. Kind of like Karasu was with his brother.
"I am more adept in Taijutsu. But I might need the range to avoid infection." Karasu said this with confidence. When he was given a choice for weapon he actually used his brain for a change. He would turn his attention back to the shorter one now. "If you merge with the infected are you completely sure that you wont contract the disease.. If not you are risking making the infected stronger" He could feel their chakra patterns despite being nothing more than a novice himself. That was saying something.
[[Pretty cool image for the brothers.]]

Hoshigaki Hiru rolled 7 20-sided dice:
1, 6, 17, 15, 3, 8, 17
Total: 67 (7-140)
|
Posted: Wed Nov 02, 2011 7:26 pm

Hp: 273 - 15 = 258 Cp: 140 - 8 (Mizu Kassou) = 132 Dodge: 33 -> 42 (Mizu Kassou) B.a.b.: 19/14/9/4
Hiru learned very quickly that these disgusting creatures' predatorial instincts made a menuver like the one he had just made to summon a partner too dangerous to repeat. Placing one hand on the ground and crouching down left him far too vulnerbale, what his two opponents capitalized on very quickly. In a single maneuver, two of them bunched together and landed a pretty nasty fist swipe at his head, knocking him backwards slightly.
Even though the hit had clearly not been strong enough to draw blood, Hiru was getting tired of acting as a punching bag for these guards. Firmly grabbing Samehada, launched two powerful slices in opposite directions, one for each of his assailants, hoping this would break their formation by pushing them apart.
Level 5 Suna Zombie: d20 [01] + Attack Melee [29] + 2 per 10 in Samehada [2] = 32 (instant fail)
Level 1 Konoha ANBU Zombie: d20 [06] + Attack Melee [24] + 2 per 10 in Samehada [2] = 32 (hit)
As soon as his attacks were finished he quickly knitted together a few hand signs. Water then started appearing around his feet as he apparently slid backwards, trying to distance himself from the zombies.
Suiton: Mizu Kassou (Water Release: Water Gliding) The technique is an improved version of water walking. The user condenses a thin layer of water under his feet and uses it to propel himself with bursts of speed in any direction and ignore terrain difficulties. Instead of moving his feet, the user moves the water he generates to initiate movement before he even moves a muscle. The technique is usually used on the ground, but can also be used on water for a reduced chrakra cost. Cp: 2 cp per post on water or in a water field, 8 initial cp + 4 cp per post on land Dice Rolls: 2 to initiate Damage: Add chakra mod charging attacks (started from a distance) Reflex DC: N/A Special: While this mode is active: *Replace [dex mod] in [Dodge] by [chk mod] (Dodge = [level] + [wis mod] + [chk mod]) *Replace [dex mod] in [Reflex] by [chk mod] *Add [chk mod] to any chasing, racing, or charging roll while this mode is active. *Ignore any terrain penalties to movement rolls. Owner: Hoshigaki Hiru-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hp: 396 - 26 = 370 Cp: 264 Dodge: 45 B.a.b.: 22/17/12/7/2
It became very apparent, very quickly, to Kamesori that his quick assesment of the situation had proved insufficient in the few seconds he had been given to understand what the heck had been going on. Moments after he had managed to unsheath his blade, an opponent that had appeared to have been focused on Hiru so far got behind him and knocked him in the head so hard he saw stars.
Despite the hard hit he had just took, he was pretty certain these guys weren't fast enough, so far, to warrant any extraordinary combat maneuvers. He'd try to cut them down the old fashoned way to see if this would be sufficient for now. Kamesori, in a crimson blur, launched a flurry of slices at all the opponents who had just gathered around him.
Level 5 Konoha Zombie: d20 [17] + Attack Melee [34] + 2 per 10 in Katana [8] = 59 (hit)
Level 1 Suna Zombie: d20 [15] + Attack Melee [29] + 2 per 10 in Katana [8] = 52 (hit)
Level 5 Suna Zombie: d20 [03] + Attack Melee [24] + 2 per 10 in Katana [8] = 35 (hit)
Level 1 Konoha ANBU Zombie: d20 [08] + Attack Melee [19] + 2 per 10 in Katana [8] = 35 (hit)
Level 5 Konoha Zombie: d20 [17] + Attack Melee [14] + 2 per 10 in Katana [8] = 39 (hit)
After his tempest of strikes was over, Kamesori took a few steps away from the fray to minimize his exposure to the blood that started splattering everywhere in a festival of hemoglobine a few seconds after he was done.
"They'll have to do a lot tougher than this to stop us, Hiru.", he said with a smirk.

Mizuiro arrived where others had already gathered, which was good, he didn't want to be alone in all of this. He actually saw a half eaten carcass on the way, and he didn't want to end up like that. "Hey." He didn't really feel like talking, all he wanted was to kick some a**.
