Even though Amanda had been walking with Talna and Isiah from the Harbor, she had received a call she had to take and had shooed them on ahead of her. Of course after Isiah had taken back his bag from her. Finishing up her call she placed her crackberry back in her bag and quickly caught up with the pair. She was not a very good guide. Hearing the tail end of Talna's introduction, she had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. Calling Conor a fancy homosexual was just something that made her smile. Trying to hid her laughter she walked into the room, reappearing and hopefully being able to try again at her job of being a guide for Isiah. When she heard Conor not cursing she raised an eyebrow in surprise. She had heard from her husband, Tate, that when he met Conor the man was cursing up a storm. It wasn't like her husband to misinform, but maybe he was on his best behavior for Talna? That must have been it. With quick steps she moved away from the doorway and leaned against the wall. She didn't have anything to just as of yet, but she wanted to be able to help if she was needed.

Riley wasn't all too sure what the ******** had just happened. All he knew was that one second he was on the ground, by Conor no less, and the next he was being walked on like some piece of s**t rug? Da ********? His first instinct was to just lay there. But, he knew that would only make him look more of a little b***h. Luckily, the man was nice enough to offer a hand. "Thanks man." He dusted himself off, over-dramatically and nodded at the guy as he left down the hall. He quickly assumed that the little escapade had not gone as Conor liked or some s**t. Oh well, who ******** cared. He was back on his feet and it was about time for his break to be over. He walked down the stairs and shot a glance over at Conor, not that he'd care about this after a little while. But, for now, it felt like the dirt from Keith's shoes had touched his hair and that was not acceptable. He smiled at the two hot women that had just walked in, so they weren't that hot, a bit old, but he'd still give them the old ratatatap.

Talna nodded as Isaiah asked, not wanting to have to repeat herself when they were already next to Conor! She knew pretty well – ten years of giving him turnip-themed dishes would have her getting to know about anyone – that Conor had a temper. He always seemed like such a nice boy around her, though! She smiled at him despite his agitation and he tightened his jaw as he felt the unbelievably warm vibes from the woman. ********, it sent shivers down his spine. Conor focused entirely on Isaiah as the guy introduced himself. Not that Conor cared. He only took small note of it so he could write the guy's name down when he told him what kind of room he needed. It was good to at least somewhat be aware of who was staying in his room so he would know who he had to smack when some damages were done.

Conor. Dude, call me Conor.” He corrected with a frown – 'Mister'? The ******** were they, old men? He shook his head and opened a drawer containing various keys of the open rooms the inn had. He grabbed a random one – Room 106 – and held it up for Isiaih to see, “'Kay. Double. 106. You see the prices?” He set the key down and went on with a stare at the guy's wallet. He'd up it if he only knew how much the kid had on him, but, then again, Talna would be the b***h that she was and point it out. Damn it. “It's thirty a day for a double. Have any pets?” Maybe he could weasel some kind of deposit; he needed to go buy himself a drink or something soon anyway. He looked back at Riley as he saw the guy walk by – good, he was alive. Looked like Conor still had a friend. He put his eyes back on Isaiah again, but not before rolling them as he caught the coquettish smile at Talna and the hot blond in the background, one of the woman smiling back at him in a friendly manner, just happy that the boy hadn't tried to shake her hand or something. Two hand shakes in one day? She wasn't sure how she would view herself if that happened!

"Oh I am sorry, Conor." He said with a slightly uncomfortable sigh, shuffling his feet a bit. He nodded taking out his wallet as he pulled out the key. He thought for a moment as he asked and then stood there for a minute. Though he didn't have any pets of his own, his sister could be a different story. He sighed again, feeling like he was taking up people's time. "Um, one second..." He said and stepped to the side, pulling out his phone and going through the contacts before making the call. He sat there while it run then smiled. "Hey sis, yeah... yeah, No I'm here now getting a room... yeah... Well I just wanted to know if you were gonna bring a pet with you? Oh okay." The conversation ended and he shut the phone, sliding it back into his pocket. He walked back over to the desk and nodded slightly. "Yes I will be having a cat staying with me, do you not allow pets here, or something?" He asked as he begun going through the money in his wallet, making sure he had enough, which he had more than.

While, in all honesty, both Talna and Conor didn't have anything really important to do right then, they did feel like their time was being wasted – albeit, their 'subtle' irritation was directed towards eachother. Green and blue eyes stared at eachother as Isaiah left to go talk on the phone, Talna struggling not to frown at her friend and Conor wondering why the ******** he was doing the same. All in all, when the new man had decided to go call someone real quick, it left the pair in an awkwardly tense situation. Talna could be doing better things, like cleaning or showing Isaiah around town! Conor was just being slow about this entire process when he should be practiced enough to be able to get the boy in and out in a second! Five years after he took over the inn, Talna had lost patience with him – somewhat. She still didn't harden her expression at him in the least, a fact that made Conor wish really ******** hard that the new metrosexual kid could hurry the ******** up so he could go back to doing nothing by himself. At least he forgot his irritation towards Keith during the wait and, maybe a good thing for Isaiah, Conor had already dismissed the thought of pocketing some phony deposit on the kid over a pet.

If it's not a f – .. uh, bird. If it's not a bird, it's cool.” He said, frowning as he went on to try to cover up that stumble in his speech, “Keith likes fu – ..cats, yeah, he likes them and.. yeah.” He should probably just not talk more than a word or two, eh? He shook his head and tossed the keys at Isaiah in the most friendly manner ever – because throwing s**t at Riley was what he did to show him he liked him! That was being nice, yeah? Yeah, enough to get Talna to stop staring at him with that ******** judging look. The woman, however, had her eyes on Isaiah cheerily, “Looks like we're allll ready ta go, ain't that right? Hand the keeper 'is money an' we'll head right on out!” Then they could get started on that tour~!

((It's fine; I understand. XD ))

Isaiah nodded at him as he talked trying to catch the keys but, it slipped through his fingers and onto the floor. "Ah!" He said quickly bending down to grab the keys and then looked up and pulled out money, he had a good amount on him, and gave Conor enough for at least the next week. "Here this should cover me for a bit." He grabbed his things and turned his head nodding to Talna. "Right right..." He quickly ran his things up to his room, putting his things in there, not even taking the time to look around, he rushed back down and back up to Talna. "Okay... So there was gonna be some kind of tour?" He chuckled a bit, scratching the back of his head.

Conor had to stop himself from rolling his eyes as Isaiah failed to catch the keys, an impulsive mock on the tip of his tongue as he closed his eyes for a second. At the very least, when the guy had handed him the money needed – and then some – Conor perked up. Like anyone, the man enjoyed getting cash and ******** if he was going to let whatever s**t that had happened previously ruin his day when he just got a nice bundle of drinking money. He could go after work, pay some strippers, and spend the rest of the evening making fun of their inability to please him. ..Yeah, Keith had totally ruined most strippers for Conor. Oh, well, he didn't care. He counted the bills he had been handed while Talna stood there pleasantly, patient now that she saw that Isaiah was rushing and the transaction had been made. She had looked to Amanda with yet another smile just as Isaiah had rushed back downstairs, surprising her with his speed. She chuckled back at him, nodding before she looked to Conor, “Well, best we be gettin', Mr. Alvey-LeBlanc. Have a nice day now.” She looked to the pair and motioned them to follow her out to the town square. Then the real introductions could begin! ♥

At Isiah's fumble with the keys Amanda started forward to help him but he got himself situated quickly enough that he didn't need any help. Taking back her spot leaning against the wall she watched him quickly move everything from the small lobby upstairs. Smiling back at Talna she felt somewhat like she was playing follow the leader. With a small sigh she pushed off from the wall when Isiah came back down and the small group left the Inn, setting off for the Town Square. She waved absentmindedly at Conor on her way out, trailing slightly behind Talna.

And out they all went. Conor felt himself relax as he watched the farm b***h leave, even better when everyone else went with her. He didn't like to say it because it felt like he was admitting to being like some nerdy ******** Lucas type of person, but he felt much better when he was alone. People were too much of a ******** hassle – outside of a good lay, that is. Which was why he didn't hesitate to look Isaiah over from behind as the guy left the inn, gauging him on his own personal scale. Which really just consisted of two levels – One, he wouldn't touch it, or, Two, he would ******** it. If anyone knew Conor, they would know it was pretty damn hard to not get into level two in his head – an effort that Isaiah hadn't accomplished at all as Conor gave a small nod to himself and went back to reclining in his chair. Oh, yeah, he would. Not more than once, but, eh, not many people got a 'Reusable' tag in his head.

New Day ~

It was time to figure out a place to live and since he had made it clear that living with his brother or sister in law was not something he wanted, Cole had been directed towards the Inn. A temporary place to live, until he decided if he wanted to buy a small house or something on the Island. Parking his truck, which was his pride and joy - besides his horse Gypsy, as close to the Inn as he could he left his bags in the flatbed and went inside. Not seeing anyone immediately at the counter he strolled in and called out, wondering if anyone was around yet. "'Lo? Anyone 'round here?" Deciding to wait until someone popped in he saw a chair nearby and sat down rather gingerly due to a healing bruise from his last bronco ride. As only a true cowboy can do he leaned against the wall, crossed his arms behind his head, tipped his head down slightly, and fell asleep. At least he didn't snore. Or at least the last lady who had shared his bed hadn't said he did.

Normally, it was pretty easy to find Conor since he really didn't like moving from the front desk. It was too much effort and he rather enjoyed the spot – he could hear Keith in the kitchen, watch River like a hawk to make sure she wasn't flirting with Keith, and still hear Riley open and close doors upstairs as he 'worked'. Yes, that was Conor's ******** spot and he liked it a hell of a lot more than the bathroom. Yet, the man was still in the restroom, leaning over the single sink to look into the mirror someone needed to ******** clean. Maybe he should lend the restaurant Riley for a bit – the restaurant sucked with their ******** bathrooms. Not as bad as the bar, but, still, ********. He would have went to b***h at Keith about it, but Keith wasn't who he wanted to see with his one good eye. ..Yeah. One. Because the goddamned ******** decided to punch him in his other eye and make it ******** hurt to open. The black-eye was a remainder from last night and he wished it was the result of some little-too-rough sex, but, no. Keith had been a ******** d**k and didn't want to help Conor out. He cursed loudly, not caring (and somewhat hoping) Keith heard him. He paused, waited a second, and then left with another, quieter curse, tearing a paper towel from the dispenser to throw on the ground for no reason outside of because he could.

Conor was obviously in a mood as he dragged himself across the restaurant's floor, looking more and more like a cat recently dunked into ice water as he managed to his half of the building. The Inn half. It was there that he noticed someone was in the small waiting area and, as he was prepared to kick the bum awake, he recalled something that had him freeze, leg lifted in air and aimed at the tuckered out man. Tate. He didn't know this guy. Tate said his brother may come. He slowly lowered his foot to the ground again, following it by crouching down and placing his hands on his knees. Conor stared at the man for a second in study, actually forcing his other eye open to watch him better. He wasn't too sure if this was actually the guy, but he wasn't going to risk any chances here. So, he set his right hand on the guy's chest and shook him gently, “Hey? Dude, you ******** awake?

When Cole felt a hand on his chest it scared the holy hell right outta him. But since he was used to falling asleep about anywhere and people suspecting they could jump you, he went with his reflex's and jumped outta the chair reaching for the small of his back where he usually kept his gun. It was a damn good thing that his brother had told him not to carry in town, or the guy who had just woken him woulda' had a new hole. Realizing that the guy was just waking him up Cole straightened up and picked up his hat off the floor. "Sorry 'bout that. Not used to people wakin' me when it's not expected. Name's Cole, I 'aheard that my brother Tate may have mention'd I was comin' to town?" Not quite knowing what to say Cole shuffled his feet and blushed a bit. He was seriously embarrassed for almost drawing on the guy. Wasn't exactly the best way to make a good first impression. Although since the guy already had a black eye Cole was figuring the dude could handle himself if necessary - that or he was a complete pansy. "'Gain (pronounced like again) sorry 'bout that. Too many people try to jump'a guy for catchin' so sleep while travelin' rodeo. I'm not one to make an easy target 'outta." Rubbing his callused had through his short hair Cole hoped the guy wasn't mad - otherwise he may have to live with Tate and Amanda.

Conor, as tense as he was, couldn't help but to stumble back when the man suddenly awoke with a jump and hand reaching for – nothing? The blond creased his brow, his hands behind him on the floor as they kept him steady and his eyes going to the guy's hand, which he had presumed would be holding a knife or some s**t by now. It wasn't the first time he had seen someone reach back around to grab for a weapon, so of course he had been prepared by sitting perfectly still and wide-eyed as he waited. But, when he figured out that the man wasn't going to try to attack him, he stood up and held his head up higher to look down on him.. more. The guy was actually shorter than him. That was a little strange for Conor, but it made him relax and pay attention instead of try to mask the fear shock he happened to get trapped into for those few seconds. His height established his superiority – He said Tate. Conor's head rewound the conversation a few more words as he realized that, feeling something giddy come over him. ..Cole. ******** Cole, who rodeo'd and s**t like that. Cole, who was Tate's brother. ..Cole, who was obviously into Conor right then. The man gave a grin as he noted the blushing, the awkwardness, the <********> awesome – but in a different awesome than Tate had; this was.. less cool, but more.. uh. He didn't know how to explain it, but, ******** that, he had Cole's room to guarantee!

Tate's a ******** awesome friend, wouldn't let some dumb,” But, ******** cool. “s**t mess that up! You Cole? I'm Conor – uh, I keep the inn. You know, the ******** inn keeper. It's cool. You go to rodeos and s**t? That's cool.” He paused in his speech, stopping just short of asking the guy to start telling him stories by the fireplace of his days in the rodeo. Rodeos weren't like his movies or midnight fantasies, but they were pretty ******** close to what 'modern' cowboys and s**t were like, so they were near-equal in awesome. He let go of him hesitantly as they got to the desk, moving back around it to grab the ledger his chicken-scratch handwriting would normally hold. “Cole, yeah? You want a room? Which room? We've got, uh, ********, dude, like.. anything. Just tell me, 'kay?

Cole wasn't used to being looked down on, in any particular way. So the fact that the innkeeper was looking down on him made him annoyed. But he didn't need to make a bad impression on the guy in charge of the Inn. So tucking the frustration away he paid attention to the conversation again. A room, that's what he was there for. That and to figure out where the gym was and figure out where he could get a job, since rodeo wasn't his job anymore. With a bit of a cocky grin he responded to the man's curse filled question's. "Nice to see my big brother's made a good friend. He wouldn't 'had 'ferred me here had he not like ya'." With a smile he kept talkin' "And yeah I rodeo'd fer 'a while. It's a 'itch on 'yer back an' joint's but a guy's gotta' do what a guys gotta' do." With another, less cocky grin, he kept on talkin. This was a record for the O'Ballivan men - an actual conversation! "Granted there's a lot more to workin' on 'a ranch then rodeo, it's muscle buildin', sun scorchin' hard work. But it's fun, and that matters." As the innkeeper Conor walked behind the desk Cole followed a bit behind, "An yeah a room please. What'cha got available? I want somethin' big but I don't need a double room. Jus' me in it - for now." With a mischievous grin on his face he kept on talkin', "An have ya' by any chance heard 'a anythin' in town that may need some muscled help? I'm 'lookin for a job and although the Bar's hirin' I don't really wanna' work with my brother. May be too much cowboy for one place." With that final comment Cole leaned slightly to the side, on a nearby column or doorframe - whatever's handy - and crossed his boot clad feet.

..Tate liked him~? That almost made Conor's black eye from last night feel like nothing if that was the case! Hell, it was all worth it if Tate still liked him anyway – not.. that he had actually seen the man yet since he had gotten socked, but that wasn't the point. Conor was all a-grin as he took that in, because this was information from Tate's brother, who couldn't be wrong! The guy probably knew Tate inside and out – like.. like how he knew Keith! But.. less – uh, anyway, so, ********, yeah, rodeo! Rodeo was ******** cool and he easily enough put his mind all onto what Cole had to say about it. It wasn't anything Conor couldn't guess on his own, but hearing it from someone who had already done it? ********, yeah~ It made it sound like some newly discovered knowledge or some s**t like that! He nodded as listened keenly to Cole, not letting a word get wasted on him – even if he was still having trouble getting his head around the accent. He opened his mouth, eager to interject his own opinion on it all so he could get some kind of approval, but the guy reminded him why he was at the desk in the first place. Inn room – ah, yeah, yeah..

Uh,” He mumbled, though he stopped as he saw Cole was still talking away. Ah, well. ..He would have given him a suite without a second thought, but there was that weird guy and Keith's mother who already had them! He scowled; ********, he hated those two a lot right then. Oh, well, best thing he could do.. “Uh, so, dude – can I call you that? Anyway, there's no ******** way I'm putting you in a single. Too small, too shitty – I wouldn't go into one.” He said firmly as he took out the keys for room 105 and handed them over to him, grinning proudly to himself, “You can have a double for the cost of a single, 'kay? Can't have a ******** good friend's brother go without the best I can ******** give, yeah?” He emphasized the friendship bit, loving how it sounded~ “I'll have the kid push the beds together or some s**t like that if you want.” Hell, he'd even have Riley give Cole a massage if – what?

His thoughts halted as he heard Cole's comment on the 'too much cowboy'. Cole and Tate at the bar? It'd be ******** awesome and.. and he had to be joking. A joke he wouldn't let fall flat as Conor burst into laughter, taking in a deep breath moments later as he responded to the man, “Dude, uh.. yeeah, 'kay, man.” He shook his head, not knowing how else to comment on it before carrying on – where would some hot guy go to work that Conor could see every so often? The Inn was the first place in mind, but he wasn't going to have Cole be a ******** maid with Riley. The guy would probably rape him or some s**t. ...Then where..? “Uh, you worked on a ranch or some s**t, yeah? Thought you mentioned it.. Uh, anyway, the last ranch owner left town or some s**t like that – his ranch is still there, so, if you want, I guess? I dunno where his animals are; the ferry's not big enough to carry a ******** cow.” Or a sheep, for that matter. He shrugged, “Could be butchered or still there - my kid mentioned a ******** sheep or something.. That's all I ******** got.
