The look on Seiji's face as he sauntered up to the ghouls said plainly he wasn't quite convinced of their innocence. Oh well. "Uh huh. Were all of these papers laid out as neatly as all of the ones down at the other end of the hall?" He pointed a dark finger to indicate the line of papers leading away from them. "I mean, it's pretty weird for them to have simply fallen in such a straight line, don't you think?" Logic said something put them there, but if it wasn't Junko or any of the other ghouls he didn't have a clue who it could have been.
He turned a casual glance towards Wren and offered a smile, waiting until J and Pep were both finished introducing themselves before chiming in himself. "Hey, I'm Seiji." She had to be new. She was also very striking with her contrasting colors. He didn't fail to notice Junko's little covert glance in his direction, and he wiggled his eyebrows at the ghoul before she could look away again.
A very familiar looking reaper joined them quite by accident. He'd met him before, somewhere, but for the life of him he couldn't recall when or where. Vaguely he called Jove having been there though. "Hey," he greeted casually, shrugging off the other boil's apology. "They aren't ours. But I don't think they were dropped." A single grey finger slide through the air in a straight line, up and down. "Little too straight to have simply fallen that way, in my opinion."
Further speculation was of course cut off by the arrival of a stack of paper that later revealed itself to be Arel. Seiji stared, he couldn't help it. The guy was even shorter up close, and that giant stack of papers only made the secretary look smaller. He snapped out of amused daze though at the order, automatically bending to pick a few of the papers up from the floor. "Are these yours?" The question was directed towards Arel.

"Clean them up? But aren't we supposed to scatter them more? Are these yours?" Pepin turned and inquired of Arel leaving Wren to get away from the glitch ghost if needed.
"You are doing it all wrong!!" she clamored about trying to continue to kick up the papers. "Wait...
Wait so you're not scattering them ARE you?" she asked and slowly pouted. "This is silly. Why would you want to clean it up. Then people wouldn't get to read them," she protested though already began to gather up stacks with the help of the hungry-for-paper minipet.

She gave a nod of hello to Seiji as well. Choosing not to say much more, she would pretty much nod or wave to anyone else...Taking a step out away from the wall was her first mistake, because clearly she was not watching where the was going. Not even a moment later, some poor student stepped on her hoof (tripped?) And sent the papers they were holding flying. Not bothering to stop and think about what she was saying, the ghoul found herself slip back in to her natural language. " " "Sparrow?" She called down at him as he was picking up the papers. As much as she wanted to help the reaper, she soon found a small.. pissed off little voice coming from behind her. Had anyone been sitting in front of her, the poor ghoul would ahve found herself leap frogging over them. As it was, she just jumped to the side. About to open her mouth and spew out more atlantean... the ghoul found herself looking at Arel a BIT dumbstruck. ....Horns, wings. She had horns and wings. Oh my god was she not the only Peryton here? She went wide eyed at him, her mouth open a little.

Sparrow lifted a hand in greeting to the black haired boil, trying to remember where he had seen him. Then it hit him.
"Oh!" he said brightly, gathering up another piece of paper and smiling widely. "You're Seiji, aren't you? I think I recall meeting you at the Open House. That was quite a while ago, but you seem very familiar."
A familiar garble of a smooth, elegant language caught his ears, and Sparrow turned to look back at Wren, his expression flickering. He had no idea how to act around her now, especially after their last meeting, but he'd just...pull on a normal face and act...normal.
Yes. Normal was good.
He leaned closer to her, whispering gently "language, little bird - " a reminder that she had inadvertently slipped into her natural speech, before a small voice - and a small person - appeared in front of the peryton. And, having never seen the school secretary before, he could not figure out who this was in the slightest.
Who the Jack...
"Pardon me," said Sparrow, slightly irritated. "I do believe you ran into her..."
He trailed off, catching the wide-eyed look on Wren's face.
"Er," he said, a little meekly. "...Wren? You okay?"

Junko smiled. "It's very nice to meet you, Wren! Your dress is lovely, where did you get it?" She was very curious. She wanted to try and copy it! A look was given toward Tomoko as the kitsune joined them, smiling brighter and wiggling a few fingers toward her. "You alright, Tomo-chan?" She was messing with her tail. Was she okay?
Another student arrived, one she recognized..oh! Sparrow, right? "Hello, Sparrow. AH...we're not sure! We think so? They were just... Arel's voice interrupted her, looking down at the small man. "Oh! Uh..alright! Sorry, sir. I was already..okay!" She shrugged at Seiji as he asked Arel if they were his, bending down to pick up a couple more pieces of paper that Pepin had re-scattered. But Wren distracted her with...a strange language. Now, Junko didn't judge. She spoke two languages herself! But this one? This one was strange. She'd just say nothing for now, she didn't want to look mean.
"You alright, Wren? Don't let Arel upset you. You get used to him." Junko offered the ghoul comfort upon seeing the shocked look on her face. Was she offended, maybe? She hoped not! She grabbed a few more sheets of paper, eyeing the minipet that was...trying to eat the papers? "Um..Pepin?"

"It just itches." Tomoko answered to Junko, gathering up a few more papers before she stood up. It was quite the stack, but along with amazing not-math abilities, Tomoko also boasted the ability to balance stacks of paper - "No, they're not mine." She answered, fussing with the stack in an attempt to make it straight (which would never happen, sob). The tiny kitsune watched Arel when he appeared, seeming to baffle a bit. Why, he was almost as tiny as Jove-kun was! That.. ....
was actually pretty small. She'd never admit that out loud, as Jove was big in personality, but... wow. Was it common for little blue things to be tiny like that? She'd have to do research into that topic for sure.
"Um...guys...? Where should I...?" She held up the stack of papers she had accumulated, pondering where she'd be best to put them.

Junko appeared to be warning Pepin of something and the ghoul looked down to see her mini chewing on the papers then swatted its face.
"Not in front of the official," she hissed to the thing before taking a couple up and stuffing them together. "How many of these flipping things did you lose?" she asked the secretary before huddling close to Junko in hopes of avoiding some chorework.
"Boooo this sucks. I wanna go play minipet masters now.." she whispered.

"If they were not mine," The secretary answered after Seiji without missing a beat, "Would I be picking them up?" He seemed to be having a hard time not grating his teeth, which only sounded more muffled past his scarf.
At last, the long hallway, though the stairs had yet to be "cleaned" quite yet, was reaching some semblance of organization, and by organization, really displacing pieces of paper from one area to the other. Students passing by had to avidly stare down at the ground to avoid tripping and falling in potentially dangerous paper sinkholes.
Arel gave a disgruntled kick at one more pile, trying to merge two together, paying no heed to the gnome running around as if Christmas Land was on Halloween itself, before he stopped again, giving Wren a rather critical look. "If you have the time to space out, you have the time to help clean up."
As he bent over to try and pick up just one more piece of paper, something odd slipped out from his coat.
While the object itself did not seem that interesting or special, it seemed to glow oddly, a brilliant teal blue. For those with more sensitive ears, they could perhaps hear a low humming noise coming from it. It was too bad the secretary had not noticed at all. OOC: TIMELINE AND STUDENTS? - Consider this happening BEFORE the current metaplot, so you are free to have your students currently in rooms wander in!

She was helping to clean.
Sneaking over to where Arel had been standing moments ago, Vieve picked up the shiny pendant and pocketed it. Tsk. Leaving rubbish around was bad.. *cue flashback to Sarias' room* - she was doing the secretary a favour, wasn't she?
A grin on her face, the salamander went back to picking up paper.

Ahhh!
Tomoko's ears were practically burning at the sound from the item the school secretary had dropped, the two fluffy almost-appendages twitching and then drooping in retaliation, her face grimacing slightly. It wasn't that the sound was offensive to them, but it was just... she wasn't sure exactly what was going or where it was coming from.
The kitsune took the stack of her papers she'd picked up off to the side of the hall, setting them down before walking over to start picking up more of them. Even if they all just said 'contract' all over the place.

As she was floating a few inches off the ground, Alwine did not notice the trail of CONTRACTCONTRACTCONTRACTCONTRACT that had started to appear. She was too busy carrying the various folders, papers, and books that had piled up since her absence. Had she really been gone so long as to amass all this extra work? She had a feeling that at least one professor shoved in an extra book out of spite... and for what? She felt like she had hardly learned anything at her Aunt Els' house. It sure had worn her out, though.
As Alwine looked for a place to set down her books for a moment, she noticed the paper trail and students clamoring to help pick them up. Without thinking twice, the haunt set down her pile o' work and went about assisting with the cleanup. One thing that Aunt Els had crammed into her spirit was to be dutiful. Dutiful, obedient, and helpful.

Roch would have walked around them. There were too many ghosts helping, for one, and cleaning up wasn't really his idea of entertaining in the middle of school. But the humming, on the other hand, had him cursing, his fingers going to his ears. For a reaper, he had unusually sensitive hearing. It sort of went with the guitar thing.
"What the jack is making that noise?" he demanded as he headed for the group. "It's pitched just right to get on your nerves, ain't it?" Right at the point he knew he shouldn't hear it, but did.
Man that sucked.

Pepin hissed loudly and very quietly reeled her way close to the object that Arel had dropped.
"THE WEDDING GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT"
she whispered oh so loudly though this time no PA system was around to amplify her voice. Even the 404saurus did not notice its master staying safely close to the object. SHE MUST NOT TAMPER WITH EVIDENCE.

Shuffling papers neatly, Seiji offered the secretary a level, bland look in response to his retort. "Maybe, if someone asked you to." He snorted softly and resumed tidying up. How was he supposed to know what the shorter man would or wouldn't do when prompted, or even when not. He'd only been in Arel's company a small handful of times, and those instances hadn't provided much of an insight into Arel as a person.
He let it go though, and continued helping in the clean up of all the papers. Still suspicious as to why they'd all been set out so neatly. It didn't look like they'd been dropped, no, they looked more like they'd been arranged.
A noise made him pause. The sound of something small and metal hitting the floor, and Seiji looked up from his growing pile of paper in time to see Vieve scooping a glowing amulet up off the floor and stuffing it in her pocket. "Hey! That's not yours, why are you pocketing it?" Why that sneaky little..

"Sir, it was a simple question." Junko pouted at Arel. No need to be rude. Geeze. She continued along to pick up each piece of paper and add it to her pile. How did he even get so much paper out here? He was so tiny! Geeze! When a pile got too much for her she put it down to the side and started a new stack of papers, beginning to hum as she worked. Even her hair was starting to help; The Mistress was getting bored and wanted to finish this quickly enough to leave and go do more interesting things. Anything. Anything that wasn't picking up paper. Though Junko had to admit she was very curious why there were so many...contracts.
She heard the metallic tink of something hitting the floor and looked up instinctively. It was enough time to get a good look at a very familiar pendant before a student picked it up. Oh, she remembered this ghoul. This was the ghoul who tried to sell her her own stuff. Wait--what?! Why was she--no! "Hey!" Junko called out to Vieve, putting a stack of papers down and walking over to the ghoul, holding her hand out for it. She was frowning. "Give that back, it's not yours. And these things? They're bad news." Junko knew that pendant. She remembered touching one and being sent to..the human world. She was pretty sure it was the human world. And then she'd found one of those pendants on that island...and Hellma had ordered they turn them all in.
"Arel? Why do you still carry one of these around? I thought the headmistress said they were dangerous." Junko was still holding her hand out to Vieve for the pendant back to return it to Arel, but a confused stare was turned toward the small secretary.
