"If you don't mind showing off, go ahead," Jericho replied. Even if she told him, he might now know what the hell she's talking about anyway. Plus, this way he'd get to see just how big she was normally. It was something was interested in since he hadn't really run into many other students whose true forms sized up well with his own. The only ones he knew or seen were fellow dragons.

Either way, he was probably going to need to step back and away from her, just to be sure.

The dragon didn't want to end up getting squashed. Almost getting stepped on by his mother when he went home over the summer was bad enough... even if she claimed there was no chance she would have squished him.

That grin stayed plastered on her face as she fumbled with the belt the skull pin was fastened to, eventually pulling it off (without snapping it off) and tossing it off to the side as she walked further into the room, purposely distancing herself from the walls. However, it seemed she wasn't going to start humming stripper music of any variety that day. Fortunately.

She probably didn't even realize such a thing existed. She probably had yet to have been introduced to music at all. She was going to be culture-shocked pretty quickly in the academy.

The belt gone, the pin no longer needed to hold her body in place and the tiny humanoid form responded in kind, cracking loudly and moving quickly to regain the shape it had been in previously. Albeit with a disgusting cacophany of shifting bones an realigning muscles as things put themselves back into place. All four of her limbs hit the ground and it seemed the previously 'tall' ghoul had a just as large 'true' body to accompany herself with, nearly 11 feet at the shoulder, she turned her almost feline-esque head towards the dragon, only two eyes staring down at him, as now the other six looked off towards the side, only able to give glances.

"I am a Colossus." she finally said, her voice echoing more in her chest now, with an even deeper rumble, than it had before when she'd been squirreled away in the 'fun sized' package. Not as fun, truly. "Small, but none the less, I am able to still claim my own species."

Jericho watched as Sura shifted and grew into something completely new. She was very impressive to say the least. And it seemed that she was roughly around his size! Granted, he could probably make himself look bigger thanks to his wings.

When she spoke again, he tilted his head as he noticed her voice was coming from her chest. That was an interesting way to speak.

"A colossus.." he repeated while looking her over, examining.

"If you're considered small, I have to wonder how big your kind can become. My true from is similar to yours in size, and like you, I'm on the smaller end of the scale."
PostPosted: Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:25 pm

Her body was like a giant echo-chamber, her mouth simply lacked the muscles needed to speak in that form, instead made to devour things whole. She shook out her form before laying on her stomach so her head was level with the Dragon, watching him as he spoke. He seemed even smaller to her now, though his speak of being much larger in his natural form seemed to give a certain amount of excitement to the colossus.

"The Mother-Father creature says my largest sibling is easily five or six times my size at smallest." Sura answered, possibly day-dreaming about how it was to be that big. She'd never seen any of the siblings, but she knew one thing for them; their voices carried well. That was all she knew of them, those voices, bellowing across large empty spaces. Trapped apart, all of them.

"It will be nice to know someone of my own..stature...in a place where I fear I will crush feet and...break doors..." she looked to the door for a moment, Darus seeming tempted to sneak out again. After a moment, Sura slid the tiny belt over to herself again..or rather, attempted to, seeming awkward on the front of getting it back on.

..
....

it was tiny, she had to hope she wouldn't.. break it. And she lacked thumbs. Crap, she hadn't thought this out. She gave Jericho a somewhat pitiful look.

"Help, please."

The dragon could definitely understand that much. While he enjoyed his true form very much, it... was just not practical in towns. Unless everyone built things a lot bigger, there just wasn't any way he'd be able to get into buildings otherwise.

Jericho quickly snapped from this thought as Sura seemed to be having some difficulty reverting back to her smaller form.

... Oh right she didn't have thumbs.

"Ah! One moment," he said while hobbling over to where the skull pin was. Frowning down, he struggled a bit to reach down and pick up the little object. He at least managed to not topple over in the process. Letting out a breath, he moved on closer to the big beast and... attempted to put it on.

"Thank you." she keened, a similarly pathetic sound as when she had broken her own door earlier. First person at the school she meets (a repeat meet, even!) and they're nice to her. She already had good impressions forming all over.

Sura had to move extra carefully, but offered the boil her tail, figuring it was as good of a place as any to wrap something so..small..around. There was no way her tail was thicker than her humanoid hips were. Man, she'd totally let herself go. She'd...have to figure out how that sort of thing was going to work if this was going to happen more often. Otherwise she'd lose her mind trying to maintain herself.

The Colossus would not last long being 7 feet all all the time. Tall, yes, but.... still a bit off, man.

But that seemed to be enough for her to at least get back into that tiny (by comparison) humanoid body pulling the belt up to put it back on again. Not the most convenient spot for that. She'd definitely need to fix that when she got the chance next. Hmm.

"I'm going to need to work out a more convenient way to get that happening on my own." she noted.

Thankfully, that seemed to work out. Once the belt was on her tail, Jericho moved back to let her go back to her smaller form.

"Yeah... might not be a bad idea," he nodded. Though, he wasn't really sure what to suggest as far as getting her pin back on. It was an incredibly tricky manner, which made him wonder how other students who didn't have thumbs managed to get it done. Though, most other students were small enough they could probably make due a little more easily.

"You might be able to work up getting your tail to put it on by yourself but other than that, I don't really have any suggestions for you unfortunately," he frowned.

"My tail...?" looking to her tail, she seemed to stare, it not really being the most mobile thing, when put in the spotlight, but it did move and twitch when she thought about it.

Huh.

She had tail dexterity...
...
...

Wait..

SHE HAD TAIL DEXTERITY. The idea seemed to hit her like a hefty bag full of puppies. Baffled, confused for a few moments, horrified at the reveal, but also relieved that somehow nothing had been killed on contact. She'd actually never really had to use her tail for anything at home. It was the same logic as to why she hadn't really had any problems with the whole..no thumb..thing.

It just had never been an issue before.

"I...will attempt to figure something out. Not right now..but...eventually." She seemed determined to not have to make keening 'HEEELLLPPPP' noises out of her room for someone to come save her from herself with. However, chances were that for a week or so that would be the case anyways.

The idea seemed to have hit Sura pretty hard, judging the baffled look she took on for a moment or so. Perhaps she never really thought to use her tail? Then again, he never really used his own for much. It was good for balance, having an extra 'rudder' in the water, curling around things, and even smacking or whipping other things, but his tail wasn't prehensile in the least. That and it didn't exist in his humanoid state so he didn't have to worry about it most of the time.

"Best of luck to you there then," Jericho said before glancing towards the broken door, "And.. hope you can get your door fixed up before too long."

There was a short pause. Seeing how new she was in general to the school and whatnot, she probably would need aid here and there for various things.

"Oh. If you need help with anything else, I'm in room 653."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:13 am

Sura was at least fortunate enough to know symbols, so finding a room with the numbers '653' wouldn't be too much of a task. At least, she thought so right then, she'd probably confirm if her slight lessons in 'common' were adequate or not.

"Yes, I would prefer if the Follossus stayed in my room rather than went on adventures to...whatever is adventurous around here that doesn't involve...the...flaming piranha-skitters....." Sura shuddered a bit. Between the rampaging FIRE ON ALL THE THINGS, RAWR RAWR from them and the crazy lady in pink consistently dumping soba noodles on her, her experience in the town was.. interesting. She didn't need to try and find Darus being devoured by things that were on fire.

Or having the Scrags try to eat him. Yeesh, this place was a giant hazzard. It needed more..large spiraling pieces of crumbling architecture that extended even above her head in her true form. They were beautiful. At least, what of it hadn't been destroyed in what she knew as 'The Bargain'. Horrible thing.

"Thank you, Jericho..I will....probably take you up on that offer more often than is proper." she admitted ears flicking a bit. "Perhaps I will leave you a Follossus of your own some time if you'd like one. New ones tend to....crop up more often than they should."

Jericho frowned at the mention of the flaming piranha skitters. Trial by Fire was not the most pleasant memory of his to say in the least. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't end up spending so much time getting himself killed in it. Never before would he have thought that something to do with fire would be what kill him so many times.

Nodding to Sura, the dragon soon remembered something as she offered up a Follossus.

"That would be nice. And oh! That reminds me. If you'd like, I could give you a kobold or two. They're small draconic guys, but they're pretty easily trained. They might actually be able to help you out a bit with your pin now that I think about it.. since they have hands and all," he offered, "Just gotta be careful to not squish them."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 11:59 am

Sura seemed to puzzle. A kobold? She'd never heard of such a thing. Then again, she was mostly familiar with white-tailed lizards and turtles and things. Those were very much small. Even smaller than her dear little Follossus, and they were perhaps as small as Sura would ever be able to handle. She would be known as Sura, butterfly crusher one day.

"I see." she didn't seem to puzzle over it for too long, however. "Would they require training to know how to do such a task? Are they difficult to train?" It was a valid enough concern, but Sura did seem to have a grasp on minipet managing, given her own herd of them in the room. For someone so prone to possibly destroy anything smaller than herself, she did keep quite a group of small creatures with her. Six of them, it seemed. How she hadn't decimated the Follossus....was probably because they were secretly made out of stone and were invincible. That had to be it.

"However, I think that would be a..valid...solution to my problem as it stands now." she made a thrumming noise, something that almost seemed to mimic the sound of...being content? It was definitely a positive sound, if nothing else.

"They require some training, but they're pretty easy to work with. As a species they're generally eager to please. They usually know better to stay out of the way of the feet of us big guys too. Family's had them around for I don't know how long and all," Jericho nodded.

"If you'd like I could bring you two now. Otherwise we could wait until our next meeting," he offered.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:17 pm

Some training was manageable. As long as she didn't have to like..get right on them straight out of the shell she'd manage. If she had to do that, then..well..they'd probably get eaten. And not by her. Dormin was always willing to devour the insubordinate if he had to. Just like the Mother-Father creature was...willing to sacrifice one for the good of the whole. The mark in the back of her throat burned at the only real 'order' she had;

Do not betray the location of home.

"They sound pleasant enough to handle." Sura noted, looking to the wide open door, then to Jericho. "I would like that. May I come with?" she inquired. It would allow her to get a spacial idea of where it was the dragon was roomed, even if she'd be in the hall going 'Oh jack, oh jack, no space at all, fs;dlfksdf' the entire time. Sura had made a decree to herself to spend as little time inside of her room as she had to.

She'd see how that worked out.

"So what kind of species is it that you hail from then, Jericho? It sounds like it is something large, though not....Colossal." it was definitely a bit of a pun, as close to a joke as she would make, but still..she was allowed her own curiosities about things.

Nodding, Jericho moved his way towards the door and motioned for Sura to come along. It was probably easier that she come with him since he probably wouldn't have to head back to her room afterwards. Moving around was just a bit of a hassle for him right now so he tried to minimize the distance he had to travel if possible.

"I am a red dragon," he replied, quirking an eyebrow at the little pun she gave, "We're the largest of the chromatic dragons. If you're talking really big though, that would be the elders of my kind. We grow slowly, but the oldest and most powerful dragons are huge. Much larger than my parents who are easily twice my size in true form. I.. hadn't seen any of these elders personally but I've heard the stories."

There had also been some murals and paintings depicting the eldest dragons, and they were pretty impressive to Jericho. One day, he'd be among them.. hopefully at least.
