"Well, your chain is certainly more effective than this at the moment - "
There was a flash of gold as Celsus flicked the coin up into the air and then caught it again, laughing a little.
"Coin, chain, coin, chain...I think I'll go with the chain."
Squaring his shoulders, he nodded at the other knight. "On three!"
"One...two...THREE!"
Celsus leapt forward, throwing out his leg at the same time as Niflhel. The creature gave a low groan, a snarl and then -
- there was nothing but dust.
Celsus stood with his hands on his hips looking satisfied as he turned to face the other again.
"Thank you for that."

Niflhel grinned as they both kicked at the same time. It was always a good feeling when team work got the job done. "Good job." He clapped the green horn on the back.
"You learn pretty fast and you're welcome!" He was slightly teasing but not knowing how long Celsus had actually been a knight, learning fast was probably an appropriate statement. "I bet that coin will be of use to you soon enough. They gain some sort of power when you manage to level up." He gave a nod.
"Like with my chain I can concentrate and hold it a bit longer, when in fact it did nothing other than whipping the bad guys into shape when I was a page." He explained. "So it'll gain some use, for now you'll have to make do with improvising. Granted I still do that depending on the opponent."

A small smile quirked the corners of Celsus' lips upwards. "Well," he said, a little modestly, though there was a touch of dry amusement to it as well. "I was rather...thrust abruptly into this knighthood. I learned right off to fend for myself and how to fight."
He pulled the coin out of his pocket again and examined it, eying the solid gold. It looked harmless enough, but he had already been counseled that it would eventually come into play.
Hopefully sooner than later.
"Thanks for letting me feel accomplished," said Celsus, grinning as he stuck out a hand to Niflhel. "I've gotta get back to patrolling, but it was a pleasure."

Niflhel nodded, "Ahh, well then you are a wise young grasshopper. And lucky to boot, I chased this stuff as a civilian." He gave a chuckled, "I don't suggest doing that unless you have a death wish though."
He nodded, "No problem man, we all have to feel good about ourselves sometime or another. Even when we feel useless as crap." He gave a nod thinking back to the chibis and then poor Metis, "As long as you try your best you've done some amount of an accomplishment."
The squire glanced to the moon he then took the hand offered giving it a firm shake and nodded, "Yeah I should get along as well. It was a pleasure meeting you, maybe we can do this again sometime." With that Niflhel headed towards the closest roof, pausing to wave.

"I was just thrown into this mix," said Celsus cheerfully. "And although I do find these creatures a bit weird, I won't go out searching for them. I rather like my life, thank you."
Grinning, he mock saluted the other, then ducked into a sort of half bow.
"I look forward to our next meeting."
He waved, waited for Niflhel to disappear, then turned and vanished into the shadows, down the street, and back to where he had been before.
