This could also work for senshi who haven't awakened yet. In the aftermath there will probably be fewer senshi than before, so those that are already around might attempt to look for any others?

It doesn't have to be cannon senshi if people don't want it to be, it could just be assumed that there need to be more warriors to clean up and rebuild after the war. I'm sure everyone can agree on whether or not to kill off actual characters in the alternate universe, and who it would be if we did.
And as for the villian, why not Rubeus? He's a d**k anyhow, and that way it won't mess with Sapphire's backstory.
