Sinon would have told Camelot he had made the right choice, no doubt, but then again she had been the one to suggest the game in the first place. Her response would have been a no-brainer.
She only angled her head slightly to glance at the squire as she smirked and called back, “But you’re ‘it’!” The redhead hadn’t realized the librarian had a limp. Had he always had a limp? She couldn’t remember, but at least it wasn’t a problem when he was powered up.
Perhaps Sinon was smaller, but not by much. She was incredibly tall for a girl—at least she didn’t mind it. Rather, she was pleased to be granted such a lanky stature. It was easier to reach for things and she could poke her head well above the crowd. Sure, she was a bit clumsy at times, but damn were her legs long. It probably wasn’t fair to peg the older man against a lanky seventeen-year-old who had been on the cross-country team. The game seemed to be in her favor.
It didn’t take her much to create a gap between them. She scaled a building and dared to pause to look back at Camelot and check his progress. If he was close? Well, she would be off and running again in no time.

Camelot was leaping over a gap between two buildings when she looked for him, and he landed heavily. Armor was heavy, even when it was light. He was also not as graceful as he would have liked to be, but he was certainly far better at all this than he had been at the start.
It was sometimes hard to notice progress, being in the middle of it, but when he had some time to relax, like now, he could see that no matter how hard he was on himself or how out class he often felt, and was, that didn't take away from the fact that he had come a long way.
Not far enough, however.
He chased her but she was damn fast, and he was hopelessly behind. He could at least keep track of her, but he did not know where she was going or how he could cut her off before she got there. Powered tag was ridiculous, he decided, but mostly because he was losing and not because he was an adult and should be taking things seriously, like he told himself after his chest and lungs began to burn.
He leaped and nearly fell off the roof. scrambling over the edge of the building, he flopped onto his back and breathed heavily for a moment, his lungs empty both from the scare and the running beforehand.
Was there a way to lose with dignity in tag? He doubted it.

She appeared thoughtful for a moment as she stared at the resting Camelot. It seemed apparent that he was having a bit of a difficult time catching up with her. The senshi cocked her head to the side and rubbed the back of her head. Sinon never realized she was that fast, or maybe Camelot was a bit slow. She didn’t know. She had never raced against the man, and she doubted he had timed himself while powered up. Why would he? She didn’t appear too perturbed by the revelation, though. Rather, Sinon gave him a toothy grin as she leaned forward, hands placed on her hips. “Tired already? Have you not been exercising enough or something?” she joked. She would have grabbed her skateboard, but quickly realized that she had left it behind. E-Erk..Oh well, she could always get it later.
“Woah!” A worried Sinon reached out for the knight as he jumped for the roof, but fortunately he managed to climb over somehow. The panic melted away from her face as she laughed instead, bouncing on her heels. “Do you want to take a minute or two to rest up?” Personally she didn’t want to. Cross country had taught her to keep moving even when her legs burned. Sometimes it was harder to keep going once she took a brief break, her muscles still aching. She bent down, but kept a fair distance away from the adult. “A bit rusty, are you?”

Camelot was probably slow, though he was going to go with her being a speedy thing. Weighed with armor and age, though, it was more likely... no, no he would not let himself start thinking he was old. That would just affirm what everyone always said, and he denied.
Which was being old.
He nodded a few times, panting.
He looked up at her as she laughed, then rolled to try and get to his feet. He was feeble and wobbly, going slowly as he coughed for a breath. And then he tackled her, quite suddenly, bringing her to the floor and pinning her. Not exactly how one played tag, but he did catch her, didn't he. He grinned at her, a look that rivaled the ones his son gave regularly, devilish and teasing.
"Tag," he informed her, tilting his head. So he had cheated, but it worked out. Hopefully she wouldn't be too mad at him. He got to his feet and offered her his hand, then hesitated. She would just tag him back... maybe he should run?
No, he didn't have much more in him.

When he coughed and hobbled to his feet, a twinge of guilt ran through Sinon. Camelot may deny his age, but she wouldn’t. While Sinon wouldn’t say Camelot was exactly old, he was definitely older than her. How old was the knight again? She didn’t think she ever asked, actually. Age didn’t bother her that much. She was seventeen, but more often than not acted like she was around seven. She warily eyed him. “Hey man, are you oka—“
She squealed as he tackled her. At first Sinon wasn’t sure what to do, so she just settled with repeatedly smacking the man wherever he could, although she mainly just slapped metal armor until she managed to find his face and gave him a hard smack to the back of the head. “What the?! Oh goddammit cheater. Cheater!” Cheeks puffed, she stared up at Camelot as he offered her a hand. The redhead eyed it for a moment. Really? It would be so easy to pull the same move on him, which she gladly did. “Okay. Tag!” She poked her tongue out at him, turned around, and ran.

Camelot grinned at her as she struggled against him, though the look was quickly swatted off his face as she smacked him on the head. He reeled back, rubbing his head and wincing.
It was still funny, though.
"Oh, wait, no!" He saw her take off when she tagged him and sighed. There was no way he wanted to chase her down again and his one move to be able to catch her was already spent. There was no way she would fall for it twice, and really, he didn't want to try it again.
He was legitimately tired now.
"Wait, wait!" he yelled, chasing after her only so he could be within shouting range. He was laughing, as well as trying to catch his breath, so things were not going very well. "I think we can call it a game! You win, you win!"
The laughter was not stopping.

It was not funny. Sinon was very unamused. In fact, she was disappoint, very disappoint, but then again she was the “victim” here. Of course she felt butt sore.
The first time Camelot called out to her she ignored it. The second time around Sinon finally bothered to look behind, and by the time he conceded the game she was grinning smugly as she slowed to a halt. She was already a couple buildings away, but it didn’t take the freckled redhead much time to return to the knight’s side. “I win? Really? Honest? This isn’t a trick, right? Right?” A hint of wariness entered her gleaming eyes now as she took a couple steps away from him. If this was another trick she was going to smack him twice as hard next time.

"Yes, yes, you win. Please don't hurt me," he said, laughing at her not trusting him now. His lungs were burning. He shook his head, waving his hands in silent promise that he was not going to do anything. He even kept them lifted, so she could see that he was not up to any tricks and wasn't going to tag her again.
He wasn't. Because that would just make the game endless. Though that thought occurred to him and he grinned.
"If we run into each other again while powered up," he said, speaking slowly as if giving a great opening to what was bound to be the greatest idea to ever come to the world they lived in. Not just Destiny City, but the entire world. Of course, the reality of it was much more limited, and sad by comparison, but that was alright with Camelot. They were having fun, and it was rare that the knight got to enjoy himself so simply while doing his job.
He wasn't like his son: he didn't power up to have fun. he did it to protect people. It wasn't a game. Except right now. Which he liked.
"I think I'll still be 'it'."

Sinon gave Camelot a long, hard stare before sighing and consenting. “Alright, alright.” A smug grin tugged at the corners of her lips as she raised both arms. It was a great feeling to know she was a winner, even if it was for just a simple game of tag against a middle-aged man, knight or not. “Game over! I can touch you without tagging you,” she declared, jogging over to pat the man on the shoulders—though perhaps it was a bit stronger than she had intended it to be.
She stilled at his suggestion, leaning in eagerly as he spoke slowly and paused. The redhead leaned in even more, waiting for the man to finish his sentence before she beamed and leaned back. “Yes! You will be, Camelot. You will!” Her smile turned devilish and she playfully tapped her fingers together as if to concoct an evil plot for their next meeting. “I shall be looking forward to that very much.”
The senshi of lies searched for her skateboard before her expression turned blank. Uh oh. Had the freckled girl left behind her board? She puffed out her cheeks. Oh no! “Hey, I have to back and get my board since I forgot it. I guess we’ll meet another time then?”

Camelot laughed. It was the first time someone had ever said that to him, but in context it was nice to know he wasn't at risk of catching the dreaded It virus if she touched him again. Once had been quite enough for this evening, certainly.
Then he regretted that he could be touched at all as he let her approach and she whapped him one on the shoulder. Grunting, he looked at her in surprise, then began to laugh.
Her reaction to his offer to play again didn't fill him with much hope for himself, either. This game would be endless and he would suffer for it.
But he was looking forward to it, oddly.
He nodded his head and smiled, patting her on the arm in return. He did not put as much force into it, but it was a challenging enough pat to let her know he intended to play whenever they next met up.
"Alright, go find your board then. I'd better... ah... patrol or something, since I'm here." He was powered up, after all. "I'll see you again." He smiled brightly, thanked her for the game, then made to pick a direction and head off.
